So in my view this is not enough, We need more and more:najam

I am sure more tours will be arranged outside the FTP.

Definitely we deserve more cricket. Dont worry we will get more cricket, but the only issue is that teams are afraid of losing their ranking points given our current rankings, 7,9,10. I am not saying they are afraid of losing but even if some top teams win 2-1 against us it still dents their ranking. LoL it dented our rankings when we won 2-1 to AFG

The one-off test in India early next year is missing from the list.

I forget whether it's before or after the UAE tour.

Looks good. Hope Bangladesh wins most of these series. I want to see a strong Bangladesh team in all formats, not just ODIs.

Can you imagine their fans at the end of it all?

Can you imagine their fans at the end of it all?

why is everyone bothered about the fans?

Ever wondered why our fans are so hostile? Because they have had a fair share of stick over the years. Cricket is a difficult sport to improve in, and we happened to have emerged in a time when there were some exceptional teams.

India, Pak, SL, Aus, SA, Eng, WI were all great teams back then, and even the Zimbawbe team in the 2000 was good enough to beat some of the better sides right now. When team wins, the fans will be more matured. Its common nature to be excited with a few wins here and there.

I think its only social media where people are bothered about our fans excitement. People look it as if its a negative thing.

In a sport with dwindling popularity, such fans are gold-dust. Can't believe when there are more pressing matters at hand than Bangladesh fan's reaction to success, like the decline of WI, SL, Zim, the popularity of the sport lowering, and the ICC cutting the oppurtunities to associate but somehow insulting BD has been everyone's favorite past time.

The last paragraph is GOLD.

Nice post. Its not like other SC fans are angels anyway !

There does seem more Test series for Bangladesh in the schedule in the OP than in previous years but ideally there ought to be more. The moving away from the FTP towards arbitrary bilateral agreements between boards is deeply iniquitous for lower ranked Test teams like Bangladesh and another reminder of why we need fixed structures in the international calendar.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is hopeful that the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka, scheduled for July this year, might go ahead. Both BCB and Sri Lanka Cricket [SLC] are in discussion over the future of the bilateral series amid worldwide lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic. Both boards however are willing to follow the directives from respective governments before getting into a final commitment on the series.

BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury informed that they are in constant touch with SLC regarding the tour that includes three Test matches that are part of the ICC Test Championship.

"I had a meeting with SLC CEO even yesterday [Wednesday]. We are discussing about the tour but we are yet to decide anything at the moment,'' said Nizamuddin to the media on Thursday.

In March, BCB postponed third and final phase of Bangladesh team's tour of Pakistan for an ODI and a Test in Karachi in April and also tour of Ireland in May due to coronavirus pandemic.

Two-match Test series against Australia at home was also postponed later and there is uncertainty over hosting New Zealand for two-match Test series in August.

Bangladesh is scheduled to travel to Sri Lanka in the middle of July for the three Tests to be played in Colombo, Galle and Kandy respectively.

"One thing you have to keep in mind is the government's instructions on travel. If only that country is alright then that will not be enough, the guidance of our government is also important.

"We are observing the situation and how their government is tackling the situation and all that along with keeping an eye on what is the order of our government because we have to see all these things,'' Nizamuddin added.

Bangladesh is having so many COVID-19 cases that cricket is now secondary.

Postponement makes good sense.
