400 on for Sangas

Do you guys think he will beat Sachins runs record? Only thing preventing is the fact that Lanka don't play many Tests.

That is too far now , I do not see that happening but Sanga looking good for 13 k runs .

587 all out

Enough for lanka to inflict another innings defeat , Can Bangalis produce something here?

How does Tanim still get a gig.. I can't remember the last time he scored runs..

The averages of the BD batsmen batting now are both less than 23  , does not inspire much confince

It's been a decade and a half and all Bangladesh can manage after being 1-down is two bats who average 21 and 17?

Tamim has been a joke now and has a very poor attitude.

That Pradeep guy looks hot.

I wonder if Bangladesh can collectively get to Sangakkara's total of 319.

I think it's important for Bangladesh to show that they have players who can bat the team to more than 50 overs an innings.

Bangla have to put up a good fight here to show they belong in the Test Arena

His scores against NZ:

0, 46, 95, 70

Tamim is still the most talented batsman BD has ever produced. Just going through a horrible patch of form right now. Needs to work on his fitness and put more hours in at practice.

Bangladesh desperately need Mushfiqur Rahim to be fit to bat. He was out of the field today and Shamsur was keeping and Tamim captaining on his behalf. Mushfiqur is by far Bangadesh's best Test batsman both technically and temperamentally. He is the Misbah of Bangladesh.

Our fielding really has gone down in recent times. Not sure what the fielding coach is doing. Prolly nothing much by the look of things. :yk

Important day tomorrow.

Lankan bowlers could not get rid of Shamsur Rahman(our own Finch) and Imrul Kayes(our own farhat), the worst top order batsman around in the test arena, wonder how will they get rid of the others :13: Although our batsman playing sucidal shots can totally ruin the match for us.

We'll knock yall over don't you worry about that. Lakmal and Pradeep pace like fyah!

I don't think our batsman should be bothered with 130KPH.

I am only worried about our batsman mistaking a test for T20s like they did in the last test :afridi

Tamim is so damn lucky his uncle works in the BCB, atrocious captaincy and atrocious attitude/mentality towards this game.

DAY III

Lanka would like to get early wickets and force follow on here , where as BD would like a strong partnership and fight to save this game.

Pitch looks like a batting paradise.

No excuse for our batsman if we cannot survive the whole day. Its not like we are facing MJ/Steyn/Herath

Lol we are finally playing test cricket. Not a single rash shot throughout the first half an hour

Imrul in his nervous 40s. He seems like the only player in the team that has any muscle.

Its alteast good to see that our batsman can bully the bowlers on flat tracks

These 2 on fyah! Nearly 50 runs scored in the last 10 overs. Good to see Mathews keeping calm and staying cautious out there.

Nuwan Pradeep has bowled almost 8 no-balls so far and only 45 overs have been bowled and dropped a n easy catch

I smell something fishy :13:

Pradeep prolly can't see the popping crease. Needs a hair cut.

Looks like the pitch is a road.

Why even play a Test match on those kinds of flat decks.

its not a road

pitch has uneven bounce and there is a lot of spin on offer. Just that neither bowling lineups have the ability to take 20 wickets

Bangalis showing good fight here, they need to make sure they continue , still they are not out of follow on.

From Cricinfo
A very good session for Bangladesh as they negotiate it without the loss of a wicket. Shamsur Rahman, in only his second Test, and Imrul Kayes, nursing an average that just struck 20, are staking their claim for a permanent Test spot with some good, controlled batting against a very tricky Chittangong surface.

Its a difficult pitch indeed. Uneven bounce is making it difficult

You gotta feel for BD, it's hard to make progress when you play 2/3 tests a year..
