BCCI opposes Pakistan hosting Asian Cricket Council event

I think BCCI should just not send the team to Pakistan if GoI permission doesnt come. Pakistan should be allowed to host the tournament with other teams( teams who are participating) and help getting back international matches in Pakistan. India in no way is obligated to tour Pakistan and/or play this tournament. They should just sit out and let other teams play. This way its win-win for both parties.

We should try to start age group (U19/23)tournament with CSA, CA, ECB like we do annual A team tournaments with South Africa and Australia.

+1 to this view. But BCCI will try it's best to hurt Pakistan cricket

Sadly, it just politics, BCCI will not tour but will also try to encourage BD and Afghanistan to pull out, making the tournament pointless. If 3 out of 4 test playing nations pull out then it will send wrong message to rest of the cricketing world.

I think BCCI should not interfere with other teams wanting to tour. They are well within their rights to pull out though. The tournament should go on as scheduled.

two boards that decided not to participate in a meeting and now are complaining about consultation. delaying tactics by these two

Asian cricket Council development committee took the decision. BCCI and BCB are not the members of development committee.

no one is lying.. only people who are dancing around is PCB and their fans.. as i said your definition of snakes who lie applies to PCB first as they abstained from voting even after getting the requested bribe..

Businesses and people get into business all the time based on verbal agreements, Its better to have a written contract in case anything goes wrong but verbal contracts happen all the time cos people trust in each other, but BCCI is a different kettle of fish. Other businesses run and operate as usual but cricket they decide its best not to play the "enemy". What double standards but what do you expect from this board/govt, no-one should be surprised.

What about the atrocities that indians have done to pakistanis over the years but no its always pakistans fault, anything that goes wrong in india is always pakistan's fault, india never at fault with anything.

GOI is filled with extremists religious nuts, they would do anything that could be used to make their constituents happy and win votes.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah Appointed President Of Asian Cricket Council

The Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah was on Saturday appointed as the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). BCCI treasurer Arun Singh Dhumal shared the news on Twitter and wrote: "Congratulations @JayShah on taking over as President of Asian Cricket Council. I'm sure ACC will achieve greater heights under ur leadership and the cricketers of the entire Asian region will benefit. My best wishes for a successful tenure." Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) chief Nazmul Hussain was the previous chief of the ACC and now Jay Shah has taken over the role.

The ACC is Asia's regional administrative body and it currently consists of 24 member associations.

With BCCI President Sourav Ganguly currently in hospital after undergoing a successful angioplasty, Jay has been working overtime to decide on the fate of the domestic calendar in Indian cricket. And on Friday night, he informed the state associations that after successfully organising the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament, the BCCI is now set to host the Vinoo Mankad Trophy -- U19 limited-overs tournament -- along with Vijay Hazare and senior women's one-dayers.

BCCI Secretary Jay in his letter to the state associations, accessed by ANI, informed them that the decision was taken with an eye on the coronavirus pandemic and the feedback of the state bodies.

"The pandemic has tested each and every one of us and there is no life that has remained untouched by it, and while it has been difficult, your support has meant that we have been able to resume both domestic and international cricket in the men's category.

"As you are aware, we have lost a lot of time and consequently, it has been difficult to plan the cricket calendar on account of the precautions that are necessary for the safe conduct of the games.

"However, it was extremely important for us to ensure that women's cricket takes place and I am extremely happy to inform you that we are going to conduct the Senior Women's One-day tournament simultaneously with the Vijay Hazare Trophy and follow it up with Vinoo Mankad Trophy Under 19. This has been decided after having received your feedback on the domestic season 2020-21," he wrote.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah was on Saturday appointed as the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).

Son of Amit Shah. RIP Pakistan cricket.

Son of Amit Shah. RIP Pakistan cricket.

Nah, we gonna be alright.

We already survived BCCI's venomous backstabbing of last decade. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Things are already improving for Pak cricket. I expect more international sides to visit Pak this decade :inti

Pakistan should not be allowed to host Asia Cup.

Because it deserves to host a global tournament..

So godi bhakts are running cricket of Asia...

And Indian cricket players have to wear saffron uniform, same as sanyasis

ACC might not be a bad event to host, but its popularity is just at an all-time low.

Should look to maybe secure a T20 World Cup around 2028-2029, that would be ideal.

RIP Asian cricket. Although to be fair,it was buried when India started chasing Australia and England as local partners in the ill fated big 3 project.

Worked well for India financially and influence wise until our own traitor Shashank Manohar, now that he is almost gone and SC also out of BCCI , all our cunning administrators will hopefully make the right steps and achieve necessary financial success for future inspite of covid setbacks.
