Beards look cool?

Beards & short back & sides hairstyles are now a generic brown person look.

cos roti and genetics means most desis have tubby cheeks and fairly soft jaw lines. women contour with makeup, men grow and shape beards.

Are you indian? Most Pakistanis tend to have sharper jawlines and sleeker cheeks, at least the "martial castes" and mountain people.

Hmm interesting way of putting it

nope, pakistani, from northern punjab and compared to western europeans most pakistanis have softer jawlines.

i cant think of many famous pakistanis with jawlines like brad pitt, tom cruise, david coulthard, henry cavill, etc....

yes some pathans and northern pakistanis have strong jawlines, more so than other pakistanis, but whilst there will always be exceptions to the rule im simply stating my observation of the general trend.

Lol there are many famous pakistanis with cutting edge jawlines lol, sohail tanvir, imran khan, hasnain lehri and quite a few other celebrities. Yeah we're not as rugged as scandinavians or greeks but we're definitely not soft looking and can look good without a beard, of course you get the shoaib akhtar looking types lol.

Beard hides imperfections in jawline. Angular beard can mask even guy with double chin presentable.

That's why you see so many midddle aged guy's with 'dad bods' and beard.

If your face is well structured and chiseled, then flaunt your genes with a light stubble not a full beard.

Ethnicities like Punjabi tend to benefit most from beard as they are predisposed to have round face with weak chin. Whereas Pashtuns tend to have elongated face with lesser fat on face.

As far as looking old is concerned, it's a myth. It makes you look mature as in being a responsible no nonsense guy.

I get depressed for days when I cut my beard really short. It seems beard growth has direct relation to my serotonin levels.

Have you tried Mewing? It is said that it can restructure the jaw line.

Its a technique where you keep your teeth together and tongue to the roof of the mouth all the time. Really tough to do and barely any documented cases of restructuring of jawlines in adults. It is said to work for kids and teens though. However, many adults do say that they could see some changes in their jawlines when they were consistent with it for a year.

Fun fact: did you know the tongue rests on the top of your mouth naturally?

I experimented with keeping a beard, but it was never too dense and used to hide my attractive chiseled jawline. But it is great for people with certain flaws in their bone-structure. I have seen people who went from a 4 to 7 just by growing a beard.

no, i dont really care that much tbh. it would be nice to have a sculpted jawline but it doesnt bother me enough to do something like that. additionally im lazy enough to not want to shave every day, so it is what it is.

Mewing was a name given to it to make it trendy. That posture with the tongue to the roof of the mouth and the bottom and top set of teeth apart is actually the natural arrangement of the tongue. For one reason or the other throughout evolution we stopped doing it, I think one study said it was because as a civilization we progressed and grew out of the hunter gatherer phase where we were no longer eating tough foods which would require some effort from the jaw to chew, the jawline got less defined and we lost that natural posture of the tongue.
