The thread is dedicated to Ben Stokes post fighting episode.

He was in form before that incident.

It has affected England's ashes tour performance.

Let's see how he go about next.

It was hard for Yuvi to make a proper comeback after his cancer treatment, he was old though. But Ben Stokes is young enough to make an impact again.

I like :stokes hope he is back to his best.

I feel initially he will tone it down a bit but over time will be back to his normal self (I mean in terms of attitude).

Performance wise will take a bit to get back into the swing of things, but as mentioned he's young so shouldn't have any problems and should be back to the levels where he left off.

England were beaten black and blue with him in the team in India. I really doubt he would have made huge difference. he would probably have contribute better than that awful Mooen Ali.

you mean it will take him couple of more years before he will break his wrist again hitting his lockers :)..

He will have to watch his behaviour. Fans will give him a lot of abuse, especially after 1 or 2 beers. I think performance wise, he will struggle at first but regain form quickly

Will need a few games to get settled back. England desperately need him back in the side especially in tests.

He already played six matches in NZ 3 in supersmash and 3 in ford trophy.
Overall his performance was decent with the bat with highest score of 93 in t20

He would have got a fast ton somewhere and maybe swung an Ashes test.

I don't think Stokes's absence was a major decisive factor in England losing the Ashes - home advantage has become too strong in determining the winner.

England's batting strength was its lower order - Stokes, Bairstow, Ali and Woakes were always capable of pulling England out of holes and scoring quick runs.

Stokes was key to that but without him - the lower order was vulnerable and Oz pacers bounced the others out.

Whether he'll tame his fiery temper and aggression remains to be seen - he was receiving demerits and comments about behaviour even before the fight.

Whilst he'll want to retain his competitiveness, the spotlight will be on him more than ever so he needs to let his cricket do his talking.

Will certainly strengthen England's batting. He has really developed his batting in the last 2 years.
