Pakistan (344 & 37/1) secure a historical win by 9 wickets against England (267 & 112) in the third Test match to win the series 2-1

Terrific win for Pakistan...congratulations. England team plays the spin worst followed by India

@Caved12 @RedwoodOriginal

Thank you.

This is one of greatest Test series wins for Pakistan in the last 20-30 years predominantly because of the circumstances.

It was a desperately needed victory to restore some dignity. It is very understandable why almost everyone didn’t believe that Pakistan had a chance and these people shouldn’t be criticized. However, those who clearly didn’t want Pakistan to win this series so that they are proved right deserve to be named & shamed.

Sad many people didn't wanted pakistan to win this series just to prove their claims of the past that "pakistan cricket is nothing with out babar"

I won't be surprised if many babar fans will call this series a fluke

@mominsaigol @shaz619 @Amjid Javed @emranabbas

Looks like Mamoon is the new Abbu for this lot :ROFLMAO:
You and I didn't even contest his prediction 🤣🤣.

You just told him to stay quiet and buzz off and I just asked him why he's making such a prediction. Yar these guys are way too funny.

The only prediction I made was that rizwan would flop this series and that England would whitewash 3-0, but I even said I changed my mind as soon as Babar and Shaheen were dropped which I didn't think would happen

I even said if pakistan take sajid Khan then they have a chance to win.

I don't make voodoo predictions. My prediction for rizzu was based of the Champions one day cup and my prediction for 3-0 were based of current forms.

Then my prediction for pakistan winning was based of sajid being a factor due to champions one day cup.

Regardless @Mamoon deserved praise because he predicted the outcome way before the series even began.

It was an excellent prediction so well deserved. Excellent call. Hopefully pakistan starts winning more and no more phatta wickets at home.

Spin galore is the way to go

Congratulations team Pakistan and Pakistanis.

And off course congratulations to Masud for saving his captaincy

If it had been Babar as kuptaan, he would have vetoed the strategy of creating turning wickets for match 2 and 3 so he would not look incompetent against spin and continue to rack easy runs to boost his average, results be damned!
Captain and coach were not included in these decisions.

Congrats Pakistan and their fans, am happy especially for all those who have been attending the Tests for years and putting up with the likes of Babar, Shaheen and Rizwan in the scorching heat, can’t have been easy to be a Pakistan fan then and witness such dull cricket. This is a great step in the right direction, you need to continue to produce favourable pitches, invest in younger spinners and don’t overlook reverse swing either. And especially, you need to continue to be more ruthless with senior players and non-performers no matter who they are or what their role in team is.

Congrats Pakistan well deserved win, finally played with bravery after going 1-0 down. You would rather your team play in such a manner no matter what the result, then the cowardice we saw under babar

A brilliant display of passion and desire from Team Pakistan.
Massive congrats :pkflag .

After the 1st test Nomi and Sajid have come in and had a massive impact with Bat and Ball and deserve all the plaudits that come their way.

Excellent debut from Kami G.

A Brilliant way to finish the Test series win in emphatic style with a 6 and smash those 37 runs in 3 overs Dizzyball style as we head into a new era.

Shan and the management have a blueprint to win home tests with spin.

We need to get our pacers fit and firing and have a core of at least 10 available for any given away series.

Sajid and Noman claim 19 wickets in Rawalpindi as Pakistan secure 2-1 series win over England

Sajid Khan and Noman Ali dominated England in the Rawalpindi Test, sharing 19 wickets between them to lead Pakistan to a nine-wicket win on day three. This victory sealed a 2-1 series win for Pakistan on Saturday.

Shan Masood's Pakistan needed just 19 balls to chase down a modest 36-run target, marking their first home Test series win since February 2021 and their first home series win against England since 2015. Jack Leach dismissed Saim Ayub for eight early on, but Shan Masood responded by hitting four consecutive fours, with the winning runs coming from a six, sealing his second win as Test captain.

England, resuming at 24-3 after nine overs, managed to add only 88 runs, getting bowled out for 112 in 37.2 overs, giving Pakistan a 36-run second-innings target. Noman and Sajid once again led the charge, taking 6-42 and 4-69, respectively. Sajid’s match figures of 10-197 made him the first spinner and third player overall to take a ten-wicket haul in Rawalpindi.

Noman struck early on day three, dismissing Harry Brook for 26 in the 20th over, followed by Ben Stokes (3) in the next over, trapping him leg-before. Joe Root, England’s top-scorer with 33, ran out of partners as Jamie Smith was bowled by Sajid for three. Root himself nicked one behind to fall to Noman shortly after.

Gus Atkinson and Jack Leach contributed 10 runs each, but England’s last three wickets could only add 27 runs, as they were all out for 112.

For Pakistan, Sajid and Noman bowled 18 and 18.2 overs, respectively, after Saim Ayub had bowled one over late on day two. Saud Shakeel was named player of the match for his brilliant century in the first innings, while Sajid Khan was awarded player of the series for his 19 wickets across two games.

Scores in brief:

Day 3 of 5: Pakistan beat England by nine wickets

England: 267 all out, 68.2 overs (Jamie Smith 89, Ben Duckett 52, Gus Atkinson 39, Zak Crawley 29; Sajid Khan 6-128, Noman Ali 3-88, Zahid Mehmood 1-44) & 112 all out, 37.2 overs (Joe Root 33, Harry Brook 26; Noman Ali 6-42, Sajid Khan 4-69)

Pakistan: 344 all out, 96.4 overs (Saud Shakeel 134, Sajid Khan 48*, Noman Ali 45, Shan Masood 26; Rehan Ahmed 4-66, Shoaib Bashir 3-129, Gus Atkinson 2-22) & 37-1, 3.1 overs (Shan Masood 23*; Jack Leach 1-27)

Player of the match: Saud Shakeel (Pakistan)

Player of the series: Sajid Khan (Pakistan)

Sajid Khan addresses media post winning 3-Test match series against England:

"First of all, thanks to Allah that we won the series; it was something the people of Pakistan needed. In the last match, which took place in Multan, everyone was talking about the toss. So Shani Bhai [Shan Masood] said, 'If we can win the match even after losing the toss, that would be even more enjoyable.'"

"All our star players are valuable to me. They have performed for Pakistan on many occasions, whether they are currently part of the squad or not. They are stars because they have worked incredibly hard. If they don’t perform in one or two matches or series, it’s not a big deal. Whether it’s a senior or junior player performing, it’s what’s best for Pakistan. Pakistan comes first."

"I’m not trying to scare anyone. Allah has given me such a serious look that even when I smile, people feel scared!"

Noman Ali addresses media post winning 3-Test match series against England:

"In my opinion, if you want to prepare spinners, playing red-ball cricket is crucial. When you play red-ball cricket, you face all kinds of conditions, and you have to bowl long spells with both the new and old ball, in all types of situations, whether on batting-friendly pitches or grassy pitches. I think this experience is invaluable."

"And all our legends, Saqlain Mushtaq and Mushtaq Ahmed, who I believe are currently with the PCB, should arrange camps to train and prepare spinners."

"I think back to 2021 when we played against South Africa here, which was my debut series. We won that match, stayed consistent, and won the series. It was a truly joyous experience, especially representing your country, performing, and setting records. Sajid and I created records together. At first, you don’t even realize it, and then in the evening, when you find out, it brings so much happiness, especially when you win."

'The best players in England' - Stokes backs batters

Captain Ben Stokes backed his batters after another collapse condemned England to series defeat in Pakistan.

England were dismissed for 112 on day three of the deciding third Test - their batters outclassed again in spinning conditions - as Pakistan completed a crushing nine-wicket victory before lunch to win the series 2-1.

"There is no doubt in my mind and no doubt in Brendon's mind [coach Brendon McCullum] that we have the got the best top six players in England," Stokes told Sky Sports.

"You always pick your best players."

England began day three 24-3, still 53 runs behind Pakistan's first-innings score, but lost their last seven wickets in 17.4 overs amid a flurry of turning deliveries and poor strokes.

Stokes' side began the series by scoring 823-7 declared on a flat pitch in their first-Test victory but since, when Pakistan have opted for spinning pitches, they have managed only 814 across four innings combined in two heavy defeats.

"The last couple of Tests we've been thrown some challenges and it's pretty easy to assess that were weren't able to stand up to those challenges," added Stokes.

This series has just shown that if you respect domestic cricket, if you stop doing hero cult worshipping inflating mediocre players as kings, if you have courage, true passion for the sport and not for your pocket then you can do wonders.

Thankyou Mohsin Naqvi for always willing to change and try different combos and not resorting to oh my god we need stability, oh my god how we can remove our kings. The same guy who has given us the best support staff anyone could ask for in gillipese and kristen. And then trying Aqib as well and finally hitting the nail.

Well done to Aqib Chad Javed, what an absolute turn around. All praise well deserved. Champion guy, who invested himself in cricket unlike the rest of 90s fixers.

Well done to Sajid and Noman for proving all naysayers wrong. Fantastic just fantastic.

Whole team notably the above mentioned, Agha, Saud, and Kamran deserve a lot of praise.

Fantatic win for Pakistan here. Two good series results in test cricket. Keep things interesting.

Shaking up was a good idea for Pakistan.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met with the Pakistan players and support staff and congratulated them on their Test series win over England.

Good win overall. Last two matches were fun to watch. Competitive cricket. However please don't start thinking this would happen every time. Any other team playing spin better would give Pakistan tough time.

The combination of two spinners worked well. Rizwan was brilliant behind the wicket and I think many are not acknowledging this. Because I've seen in past how other keepers have dropped and missed regulation stuff. If only he had scored more runs, that would have been awesome.
I still think 2 bowlers taking all wickets may not last very long. Also considering their ages.

Top 3 batting needs to be sorted out. Currently too inconsistent. Also a case to promote Agha higher up the order.

Congratulations Pakistan on the series win!

Congratulations to PCT, it’s weird how Pakistan always does well when they throw out superstars.

This series has solidified the fact Bazball doesn't work on spicy pitches. Bazball only works on flat pitches.
Its not possible to bazball vs the spinners on turning tracks as batters will get caught pretty quickly. They can be a bit more aggressive at most.
