He's a has been and 2022 wc should have been his final resting place for his international career.

To his credit he captains alot better then veggie boy Shan Masood but it doesn't matter.

If a captain does not warrant a spot in the playing 11 then don't bother. The era of breadley is over, that was a long long time ago amd cricket doesn't work that way anymore

They were all doing fine till 2022 WC, focusing on winning matches for team. Their downfall started after they started considering themselves stars despite loosing semi final against Aus.
 
Haha, looks like Smith thought he could pull off the same magic from the first innings! Unfortunately for him, things didn’t quite go according to plan this time around.

W's made it possible against the odds. Running on flat wickets and bowling with pace an accuracy, no one can be compared.

Saj and Nomi are good but pitch is also assisting them.

It's still a test match where you have to take 20 wickets. I'm sure England thought they had the game in hand at 46-3 and 177-7 before the huge partnerships between Saud, Sajid, and Noman reverse-bazzed the English.

I am curious how would young bowlers like Zafar gohar, Umar Khan and Asghar perform if given supporting tracks, they surely are more skilled and talented than Nomi and Saj.

The mafia of flat wickets have destroyed too many careers unfortunately.
 
Also just saying. People need to appreciate how good sajid and nouman have bowled.

Pakistan's batting is much weaker then England's batting and to top it off, Zahid mehmood has been rubbish as usual.

England spinners weren't all that great either.

This whole we prepared spin tracks finally is just a salty excuse. Yes we prepared spin tracks but it doesn't change the fact that these 2 are bowling terrificly.

Replace Nouman ans sajid with abrar and Zahid mehmood and you'd be in for another 3-0 whitewash

Respect to the 2 chacha's of cricket.

These are not unplayable pitches Nomi and Saj both scored almost 50 yesterday

Yes they have bowled amazingly well. But I would always rate Zafar and Asghar higher. It is just they didn't get much chances at international level. Umer Khan, yes, looked pretty impressive in 1st PSL and then disappeared.

They would perform wonders. Every player from SNGPL is trash.

Be it Abdullah, Abrar or whatever.

Sajid should continue playing, he isn't that old and can play a good 5 years. Zafar gohar needs to be drafted in to replace Nouman chacha soon.

Nauman chacha really should have played more test cricket. He is very good and he can actually turn the ball.

He is better than Sajid tinda even though tinda has done well but Nauman chacha can bowl a tight line.

I wonder what Nauman's record in the second innings is because he has given some seriously impactful performances. Besides in his performance in this match and the last, he also took a 7-fer in Sri Lanka to complete Pakistan;s series sweep last year.
 
Azhar Mahmood’s clip of there being no spinners in Pakistan should go down in meme history. It’s one thing for us fans to write the most absurd stuff, but for a team management personnel to say such drivel just speaks volumes of the mindset they were in before Aqib took over.

Master-stroke by Aqib and full credit to him for this series win. Noman and Sajid were inspired selections and they deserve every bit of accolades.
 
I don't vet it? How can a player who has 405 fc wickets not be our mainstream spinner? Why did he make his debut in 2021 at the age of 35? And why wasn't he a regular?

Nouman chacha has been terrific anytime he's played international cricket?

He'd be the perfect replacement for yasir Shah in test? Shpuld have been drafted a long time ago?

Dont underestimate England ability to produce Flat pitch at home .
 
Wow, England are awful vs spin. Jamie Smith has thrown away his wicket in both tests, has been a victim of reckless bazball.

Also ain't getting any younger. Plus Tendu's total is closer to 16k than it is to 15k. He'll finish no higher than second in the all time list

Atleast Noman got a chance. Kashif Bhatti has been taking truckloads of wickets for years and never got a call up.

Sajid is being easily taken for a few every over so why not try a new bowler.

Players like Abdullah weren't just called up in test but we're taken to an odi world cup as Priemere opener for pakistan based of 7 List A games and 10 Fc games? And in those said list A and fc games, Abdullah wasn't anything special?

Yet actual proven performers like saud, Kamran, Nouman chacha etc had to wait years?

Doesn't make any sense. For saud, I understand as even in domestic he was weak ahainst pace so maybe pcb were hesitant, Same arguments can be made for KG.

On what basis is a 405 wicket taking spinner kept out for so long and isn't a regular 😭😭
