Miandad and Kallis are really pushing it. The only debatable ones from those three countries for me are Hammond, Hobbs, Hutton, Richards and Pollock but only the two English openers are greater than Sachin for me

lol at wally Hammond being compared to tenda. I don't even like tenda but Hammond played in a weak amateur era. Should be compared with people of his amateur era.

Kalis is a whole is greater than tendulkar. As a pure batsman I would have to stick with tenda here.

miandad is a joke compared to tenda. His figures are vastly padded by playing at home with biased umpires. Not a good comparison at all. No one in their right mind would pick miandad over tenda.

I wouldn’t say greater, I think all those guys including Tendulkar operated at about the same level, maybe a percentage point in it here and there. They had different attributes - Miandad the pressure player, Richards for sheer shock value. I’d put the Aussie triptych of Chappell, AB and Waugh around there too. Not much to choose between any of those guys.
