Hafeez better not go to SA if he can't survive in UAE on the 4th-5th stump line.

Yeah right!!! Inzi will not drop Hafeez for SA tour and include a new player. You should know by now.
 
What hope does Hafeez have against Steyn and Rabada in South Africa if he can't face Boult in freaking UAE?! Now that Fakhar is injured I'm not sure what options we have left? Even Imam is a newbie and can't be relied upon... the future looks bleak!
 
That was a great delivery from Boult and would have dismissed most openers. The problem is that such a delivery will ALWAYS dismiss Hafeez whereas a decent opener will learn to cope with it.
 
54 test matches experience cannot leave a ball outside off stump may be pressure of scoreboard or no pressure because lobby behind him. For runrate bashers how can a player who doesn’t disturbs the scoreboard is better than others who score slowly
 
Hafeez cant play quality pace be it Steyn or Boult.

We have the most dumb selectors ever, keep on opening with a guy who is clearly low on confidence and doesn't know his role in the team. We have practically played this series with 10 players.
 
I hope he doesn't make the runs in second inning too. It will be good for Pakistan. Sometimes i feel that these so-called professional coaches are brainless. We all know how bad hafeez is opening the innings but same mistake is made again and again. I still feel hafeez could have achieved more if
he had known his strengths which unfortunately we the fans know but he doesn't.

Perfectly timed innings for MoHa - now his buddy can rest him for SAF series and bring back next season in UAE. A 35 could have made it impossible to drop the great man for settling scores with Styen, which I am sure at hind side is neither in MoHa, nor Ul Haq's wish list.

I do not understand people here, they keep talking about Steyn Rabada and South Africa series, here right now Our honor and dignity is on line.

New zealand has not won away test series against Pakistan since winter of 1969.

No SENA country has won away test series against Pakistan since winter of 2007. People are talking about South Africa. Strange.

Don't think its a good idea if Hafeez fail we will loose this match. Since selector and management wants him until 2019 or even beyond, its better if he score some. No matter how many number of failures will let him dropped by mr. Inzi.
 
Team Management surely missed a trick. We should have send a night watchman for Sir Hafeez , I am sure he would have protected him till lunch.

The biggest joke in test cricket.

Keep recycling Wahab and Hafeez. This is how Hafeez will get out everytime within first 5 overs in South Africa. Amazing that after 15 years he still cant move his feet straight forward on an outgoing ball...always slanted.
 
Pak supporters should pray for a golden duck too for Asad the Bradman

Other 3 openers also has their lobby - Imam, Ahmed & Shan; won't be surprised if Abid Ali is called to serve in SAF. I maintain my assessment on Ul Haq - other recent PCB CS were incompetent & clueless, but this guy is morally corrupt & verbally hypocrite.

But but inzi is a Legend so he is already better than all chief selectors we have had in the past.

You people can't tolerate 2 innings failure for real talented capable player Fawad,but continuously repeatedly give chances to a all time failure hack Hafeez, Asad. Disgraceful double standard.
 
This is shaping up to be an embarrassing test defeat. I'll be surprised if we get to within 50 of the NZ total. Horrendous.

I had a high hope for Inzi that he will bring real talented players in Pak side, but nepotism , sifarish,muscle and money power continues...I am really disappointed
 
Management and captain will send out a nightwatchmen in next and try and survive till close of play.

Hopefully get to 10/1 at close of days play.

I think it is widely accepted at this stage that Fawad is overlooked for personal reasons. Even by Pakistan's low standards, it does not make sense not to pick him based on talent alone.
 
i can see us been 5 down for less than 100 here the way our crap batting is.

Have patience, your main players are still to play. Hafeez's wicket is a nothing wixket for opposition. I am sure that even NZ side isn't delighted by his wicket

Oh Hafeez is a walking wicket for sure, but I think the NZ total is above par going by the first test scores. I don't think this track is significantly different from the 1st test pitch. What I envisage now is that our batsmen will go into a shell and refuse to score, which will build pressure and ultimately result in soft dismissals.
 
Day 2,3 seem to be the best batting days on this surface.
But nothing helps when Pak batsmen start collapsing under pressure
 
I worry for Imam, he's been taking a lot of blows to the head.

Problem is Imam's average in domestic cricket (in all formats, plus the mediocre strike rate in LA). He should never have been selected because there were players with better records waiting for selection. I am not accusing Inzi of anything here other than incompetence in this case.
 
Let the tuk-tuk begin again. Good start by NZ. I am not sure but I feel Boult has been a bigger servant to NZ than Kane, not sure about it though.

Kid has not come on merit to the side he is here purely due to Inzi, remove Inzi and Imam will not be playing single format. Useless player.
 
Southee giving free runs and letting go of the pressure Boult is putting on Pakistan.

PCB Chairman should have forcefully removed Inzi from his post then. He was allowed to select his nephew so the whole PCB administration is at fault here.
