A complaint was filed against a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader after he openly admitted to burning a Rohingya refugee camp in the Indian capital earlier this month,

Indian advocate Prashant Bhushan filed the complaint against BJP leader Manish Chandela after the leader admitted to the crime on social media, reported The Indian Express.

Chandela, a youth wing leader for the ruling BJP, deleted his Twitter account following intense backlash and call for action from various Indian groups including the All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (AIMMM). Bhushan, in his complaint, attached screenshots of Chandela’s tweets.

Puzzled by the Delhi police’s inability to take action against the BJP leader, the advocate in a tweet said, “No action yet by Delhi Police to register a case and arrest him and no action by BJP to remove him from party. State of rule of law under BJP.”

On April 15, Chandela tweeted from his account, “Yes, we did it and we do again #ROHINGYA QUIT INDIA.” In a tweet about the fire in Rohingya camp, he replied, “Well done by our heroes,” when asked about it he tweeted. Yes we burnt the houses of Rohingya terrorists.”


On April 15, over 225 Rohingya refugees were rendered homeless after a massive fire destroyed their camp in Delhi’s Kalindi Kunj area. The fire broke out at 3:30 am due to a short circuit, the police said, reported NDTV. No casualties were reported.

A fire department official said that 11 fire engines were rushed to camp and it took more than three hours to control the fire. Around 44 shanties were completely destroyed in the fire. The fire spread fast and most shanties only had plastic sheets as temporary shelters.

The refugees said they lost all belongings including the little money they had.

This is quite disturbing. Such open boasting about burning homes of a group of people who associate with one religion, and no action taken by the authorities.

Rohingyas have no business being in India. This is not their country. They have entered my country illegally, squatting on our land and using our resources. They have become a nuisance to local population and are changing the demography of the area.

BJP isn't under fire, but India itself has come under more criticism since the Asifa Bano story resurfaced last week. It took a while, but there has been more coverage lately, although it's more about rape in India and how it's used as a weapon against women rather than looking at the BJP specifically.

Millions entered in 1971 and stayed back. 1000s enter every year as the border is porous. It being fenced and sealed now.

I know I might sound inhuman here but India can’t afford a single illegal immigrant we are too overpopulated as it is... And I don’t see anyone taking any strong steps to curb population so our current best hope is to get rid of illegal immigrants atleast that would reduce our population by 10millionish.. Household jobs which will be created can be Done by Indian citizens who need it to feed their own families..

You will a party to crime if you employ a illegal immigrant. These people will be rounded up and put into refugee camps. Most will go back to BD and only a few who have actually lived here since 71 may find it difficult to go back.

Aadhar isnt a citizenship documents.

The rule in Assam is simple you have to submit documents to prove that you or your ancestors were residing in the state before 1971. Millions are in line to have their documents revoked. If same is applied in bengal millions more will go. The only problem will be the ones who have managed to spread elsewhere. Since other states are not so accomodating of these people locals of that state are now driving them away.
