3rd game and they seem to be improving.

However this seems to be a Brazil team with some defensive flaws and not with the flair of previous Brazilian teams. More of a workmanlike team this time around.

But, when you have the likes of Neymar and Coutinho in your team, then anything is possible?

Can they win it?

They will win it imo. Their attack is frightening when it clicks. Defensively they are good.

I think they'll win it.

Brazil was pre-tournament favorites like always and they still looks the best team to win it all...They have depth, they have pretty solid defense and explosive offensive. Individually they have better players than any other team not to mention at younger age. They run into injury problems(Costa is out, Marcelo went out after 10 minutes) but still they can cover all that up...If Neymar is not firing, Coutinho took his place, they have too many weapons at their disposal!!

They are also improving by every game. In last two games, their offensive was pretty good, finishing is getting better. Today when pressed hard for 15-20 mins, their defense hold up pretty well, shows that this team can defend. Keep in mind, today, 3/4 pretty easy opportunities were missed by Neymar, still they sailed easily...

Brazil is always toughest team to beat for pretty much everybody. Most of the time, they give up silly goals for other to have chance, if they cut that down, its hard to go through them...Mexico in Round of 16 would have hard time against Brazil, since one on one, its hard to beat Brazil, specially with their size...England/Belgium would be vary of playing Brazil in QF, people are already talking about it, you can sense the kind of pressure Brazil brings to fan and players ;-)

The only thing they seem to be good at so far is falling over like little children

They will get knockedout easily, if not by Mexico then by Belgium.

Looking better with every outing! As long as Neymar doesnt get a 'real' injury!

Belgium will give them a tough game and might beat them. Or France will in the semi.

They are an above average team but no better than that.

Neymar is also a despicable play-actor that sets a dreadful example.

Brazil can beat anyone Belguim,France, Croatia when on form.

Looking stronger with every game and yes they can win it.

Brazil warming up nicely now.

Their defence looks rock-solid at the moment.

Sterner tests to come though.

Belgium game should be fun.
Hopefully a night game

Yup, hopefully. Not only it allows players to play upto their full potential(due to cooler weather) but also looks good on TV. The whole stadium, the environment and the overall atmosphere of the surroundings look entirely different at night.

They are the most balanced team in the tournament, and if they play to their potential, they will win their sixth World Cup.

If they make it it to the Finals, they will choke.

They are most likely to face England, After beating Mexico, Belgium and France if they can't beat poms this should Go down as worst choke in Football History,, Final should be cake walk for Brazil...

For the sake of sanity, hope they can win and deprive England!

This Brazilian team is most organized defense we have seen from them in last 4/5 world cups. Reminds me of 1994 lineup that was so hard to score against, T Silva is leader at the back, organizes their defense. Two blocks, back six are very solid, playing flipo instead of Marcelo helped them a lot, a forced substitution.

Yet at front Cutino and Neymar are best forward combination, all they need is to replace R Firmmino instead of Jesus, he is better forward, and would score more goals. With Willian, R Fim, Neymar, Cutino, that’s best forward line in the world....

That is another thing which no other team has, so many options sitting on bench. Costa is not even playing!!

Brazil is team to beat, I hope they win it all, longer they play more exciting the World Cup is, since we will be witnessing highest quality players till the end!!

Oh man quarter final distribution is very tricky. Both Belgium and Brazil should have been in the semis along with France. But with this quarterfinal grouping only one of them will make it to the final.

So the other finalist will be from England, Croatia, Sweden or Russia. :))

None of these teams even had dreamed of a final when they were preparing for this tournament.

The answer is...yes they could have, but a combination of poor defending from set pieces, and lack of patience leaving themselves open to counter attacks far too early in the game has put them out.

It's a shame because they showed glimpses in the final 45 mins of what they can do, and they are going to be a big miss for the rest of the tournament. I expect the quality of entertainment to go down for the rest of the tournament, the games will be much more cagey now.

Some poor defending and I felt the right back was a weak link in the Belgium game.

Neymar off the boil throughout the tournament.

Neymar spent more time rolling around then scoring.

I doubt any South American team will win WCs in the coming future because everything is rigged in favor of European teams, the task is as imposing as beating Australia in Australia for SC teams before the advent of neutral umpires.

I really like Belgium but in the end they were quite lucky to hang on, clear penalty not given to Brazil, Ney mar so close with his shot that only a goalkeeper of that reach could save and Coutinho any other day would have buried those chances.

Hazard spent a lot of time on the ground yesterday but he wont be criticized because he is not South American

The difference was that he was fouled and not diving at every opportunity like neymar
