Figured it was a nice time to follow up the last pessimists roll call

http://www.pakpassion.net/ppforum/s...lling-all-wrist-slitters-naysayers-pessimists

So here goes:

Few deliveries away from new ball, hard to imagine that they will survive.

If Misbah and Pakistan team fail will he retire or give another excuse to leave on high notes and play more series

Typical pak approach, gift the initiative and match on a plater by playing cowardly and unnecessary defensive batting which always leads to one result which is surely not victory, at least show some intent and put other team under pressure and let them know you are there to win not just to delay or avoid the defeat. It's not even about ability it's about intent and approach.

I only started watching cricket seriously from 2007 so can anyone answer this for me - where does this Pakistan team rank among the most boring teams of all time?

Misbah ul Haq - 17 from 58 deliveries playing at a SR of under 30. :14:

Pakistan well on their way to salvage a draw.

Misbah has no idea what he is doing.

Its a matter of time before Misbah gets out with Gabriel bowling like this. Either that or he'll break a bone. Looking clueless.

look at the way misbah is handling gabriel..embarrassing....

Lool. Its an epic battle. Misbah being schooled by Gabriel and Joseph.

Izzat se retire hojata tou yehi din nahi dekhna parta

Ramiz bashing Misbab and very rightly. He is batting like a pure tailender.

It would be epic if we need 30 more runs to win and we will be short of time.

Can't wait until Misbah leaves. Absolute dud against pace. Abuses the spinners, but also gets out. Mediocre batsman overall.

Misbah has been a Deadwood.

Misbah playing like a tail ender

There is the lead. Time to go all out guns blazing. No holding back now. 1% chance to win might as well take it. Can declare with a lead of 50.

My friend if you have forgotten this pitch is no minefield moreover we have already lost significant time to rain. In case we are looking to win the game which should always be the case this innings of Misbah is bizarre to say the least. We are not playing against a very superior teat team so don't understand the game plan

trust me pitch is dead right now. We aren't getting WI out that cheaply for sure.

Is Pakistan playing for the draw? They need to pick up the scoring rate.

Lo jee.. any hopes of a substantial lead gone.

So its a confirmed draw now. Pakistan will probably add 30/40 more.

he is playing for time. he does not want to bat again. Better teams would bat WI out of this game lookin at the ball doing not much but we are not better team./

we will see at the end of the day. I doubt WI will lose wickets on this phatta.

the expressions at the faces of Mickey Arthur and Grant says everything..

This is what happens when you let a player play 5 years after then when they should have retired.

This is the kind of situation where you can prove you mettle, turn this competitive score into match winning, I feel Misbah is just not upto mark, he was never. At best he can come at 13/3 and play a defensive innings and save team from total embarrasement but he never took opposition by thorne , that 100 against Australia was rarely anomaly

bad luck for Pakistan that Misbah is still there

2 more test and the misery ends

two more tests and thats it

Thanks Misbah for retiring...

Thank God Misbah won't get his undeserved century

Misbah has taken the belief out of this team. When Sarfraz was batting it looked like we were playing to win and now it looks like we are playing for a draw while being in control of the test against a very poor Windies team.

Misbah playing for a draw, it seems.

Just stopped watching the match but I hope Misbah ups the rate a little. The pitch has dried out and with almost a day gone to rain, Pak don't have enough time.

Misbah...once again choked it.:))):)):)))

it's been very fitting end my friend. Now if WI draw this game it would be even better.

This game had draw written all over it once Misbah scored 150 balls 50 runs. What I want doesn't matter. We have wasted a lot of time. Better teams would have dominated after lunch. Ultimately the loss of time will come back to haunt us. Pakistan will do very well to pull off a win here.

I love Misbah, but what I said was true. Let's see how he does in the rest of the series before jumping to conclusions.

The who's who of Pakpassion's wrist-slitters. Can't wait to see their tears once the great captain retires.

:))) Big Mac surely knows how to use his gifs and memes :)))

Mainly one poster who keeps cropping up again and again.

Glad you put all that time and effort in putting this post together, if only Inzi had put the same effort in selecting a correct squad for the CT.

Brilliant thread. Too much hate for one player from the same posters. Ultimately it was Misbah who put us in a strong position.

I've held Pak as favourites in this series but I did think Pakistan might not have enough time because I thought Windies would at the very least get 100 on the board llol

My opinion still remains the same though. Pakistan have to start upping the rate at times.

Thanks for the roll call. Doesn't change the fact that Misbah's innings was a very poor one and he was stuck on 99* because of his own fault.

Against a better batting unit, your bowlers might not be able to bail you out.

Also interesting to see how some posters like to take credit away from Amir and Yasir for the win and give it to Misbah.

Basically MRSN's posts from the past week

You have no idea how many times I had to click "View Post" on hidden posts in order to compile that list.

My favourite part of this thread is going to be reading people coming in here trying to justify their buffoonery.

I love Misbah, but what I said was true. Let's see how he does in the rest of the series before jumping to conclusions.

Oh really?

Basically MRSN's posts from the past week

MRSN has been trolled big time by Misbah this time. Misbah led MRSN to believe that he is not interested in winning this test match and then suddenly Misbah won Pakistan the match. :misbah

btw I'm not sure who the op is but hope he doesn't think I'm part of the Misbah hate brigade

Thank God Misbah won't get his undeserved century

i think this was the most pathetic one.

And this most was coming from a guy who claims that he is better then the rest of Pakistan as he votes for PTI. Calls himself more educated then the rest and all..

He didn't deserve a century.

Brilliant thread. Now their crying over something else..I can already see the rivers of blood from their wrists...

Big Mac Loving the CT deflection, wonder if this would have been as easily forgotten had the test been a draw.

Goes to show how pathetic our cricket has become when we have fans championing a 42 year old with no ODI century to his name.

Completely destroyed in OZ,NZ and SA Test series.

Only delivers in front of 2 spectators and a minnow.

Yes lets all join hands and celebrate.

Whats the big deal, that's exactly I was talking about, humiliation against stronger teams, 6 consecutive defeats and 72 runs and piling up runs and easy victory against minnows.

Minnow mentality at it's finest.

Nah man we just beat the mighty Windies who definitely aren't ranked 7th or 8th in the ICC rankings.

Bad day at the office, must be. Stop supporting/hating individuals over team.

Against a half decent team the result could have been a lot different.

Windies only had one World class player in UAE and still gave Pakistan a scare in one test and pulled off one win.

Misbah and YK both played selfish innings.

Luckily Sarfraz provided oxygen to the tally.

Says that guy who is happy with Umar Akmal selections and calls it a meritorious selection. LMAO

You were also against Sarfaraz's selection in all formats. That sure came back to haunt you..

Bad day at the office, must be. Stop supporting/hating individuals over team.

Maybe if this particular individual wasn't playing against Australia, then we would've actually won a game against them.

First Pakistani team to lose to NZ in 31 years.

First team to win in Wi in our entire history. First team to go unbeaten against all the top sides at home/neutral. Most competitive Pak team to Australia in 20+ years.

Burn much? :najam

And is the only one at fault for that?

And then you say support the team and not individuals LOL. Holding the captain responsible for everyone's poor peformances.

Where our bowlers in favourable conditions? Why couldn't our batters do anything ? Why wasn't our team prepared for such tour with practice matches?

More than just Misbah at fault for NZ and Australian tour.

Most competitive team in Australia :))) :))) :)))

And we have won tests in WI before but never won a series.

I wonder when you will start advocating for Sarf to be replaced by Kami in tests as well.

Tell others to support the team but doesn't follow the same mantra. Was doing cartwheels when Sarfraz as odi captain beat 9th placed West Indies but can't give credit to Misbah when we are on course to beating West Indies in a test series for the 1st time.

On merit you shouldn't be on this forum..

Owned. :srini

Never said Kami should be in Tests, you need to hold on to your senses and not resort to lies if trying to make any sound argument. :najam

Ah, good one.

Never seen a more single-standard poster on PP. :usman

We won one game?

Err and looked the better side even when some haven't clicked yet..yasir looked good..Abbas a good find..windies look clueless..actually they look like a t20 side trying to play real cricket..the type of cricket you like to see..

As soon as we win against a minnow these threads appear. Then the youtube tribute clips :91:

Then we get thumped by a top team and then no more :91:

But, we've been on an unbeaten run against all the top Test teams for the last ~5-6 years. Except the last 5 matches.

Well, isn't hindsight a beautiful thing. Anyways, Pakistan always and always will come first above any player whether that be Misbah or anyone else. And btw, criticizing the tactics of a certain player at a certain juncture in time doesn't make one a wrist slitter or hater. Seems you spent a lot of time digging up those comments, so kudos to you.

First team to win in Wi in our entire history.

Weakest WI Test team of last 40 years. Hope we win the series.

First team to go unbeaten against all the top sides at home/neutral.

UAE hamari jaan. Alhamdoulillah.

Most competitive Pak team to Australia in 20+ years.

Yeah. Nazar naheen aaee competitive team. Wasim's Pak eleven was most competitive and that Aussie team was dream team. This Aussie team isn't comparable.

Syed1

Poor stuff from some posters, not wanting Misbah to get his century or showing any support.

You can see how good and "knowledgeable" these PP arm chair wrist-slitters are, apparently this game was only going to be a draw or maybe a 1% chance of a win by declaring with a lead of 50...

Yup, our team was far from competitive and that too against the weakest Australian side in years.

Pakistan made mistakes at certain stages of the match and we were pointing out those, we were far from complete and we have to improve if we want to compete with top nations.

Wasn't slitting my wrist or nothing but did predict a draw after a day was washed out. There is no one happier then me to be proved wrong. The boys have done a remarkable job here. Must remain vigilant as West Indies will be hurting having lost the one day series as well. Pak has to remain vigilant here of a Windies backlash in the second test.

This is a hilarious thread! :)))
Hawkeye, your nemesis said that in his heart, he wants Pakistan to get smashed in the Champions Trophy.
Syed1, your nemesis said that Kamran would prove people wrong after he was selected by Inzi.

I'm glad I wasn't on that list :)

Some posters either dislike a player so much that they are blinded with hate and will
continuously criticize that player or they just don't understand Test Cricket.

It's probably a combination of both.

First Pakistani team to lose to NZ in 31 years.

We beat them in 2011 but this time they rolled out lawns greener than my garden - all Asian teams have struggled in NZ recently.

We also had zero practice matches, with the only one scheduled (thank you PCB) rained off. How can I ask you to sit an exam without any revision ?

Hilarious thread.I didn't want Misbah in the team either but some people claiming that he wasn't in form before coming into the side need to look at his scores in the Grade-2 domestics.A couple of centuries and another score in the eighties.

This is what Misbah wanted

A selfish ending to boost his ego and stature .

He wanted to tour New Zealand and Australia, not to throw new captain in at the deep end. Did he really believe that because why he decided to continue? He could have allowed Sarfraz to settle in against 8th ranked team, would have given him so much confidence winning a series away.
