I think BD can cause some panic if they take a few early wickets and let the spinners do the heavy lifting.
This is one of the best BD Test sides I’ve ever seen, excusing the Pindi pitch they deserve some credit; they have a solid game plan and all basis covered, even a 6ft pacy bowler which is not the norm for them.
They seem to know Pakistani conditions better than Pakistani’s….
Lol no, the sides from 2012-2016 were far far superior to this one, and if we're going back to the 1990's and early 2000's, then defo them.
Bangladesh has regressed, their now just a side that play cricket mostly for the sake of it.
The reality is Pakistan is just a rubbish team.
2017 team had a captain who had experience winning tournaments in foreign conditions, had a uae PSL where lots of Youngsters got exposed to foreign conditions and became better as a result, And the whole team atmosphere was to play an aggressive brand of cricket.
That's why you saw seemingly medicore cricketers like hafeez go from tuk tuk opener to a gun no 4, and why shehzad who was once pur priemrw opener faded for Fakhar.
Even azhar played quick, It shows that even tuk tuk batters can become lightning mcgurk if you motivate them correctly and peak their confidence.
Current Pakistan has none of that, theirs no actual leader, Shan can't lead, Babar can't lead, rizzu can't lead. The coaches are disinterested and the management nor the captain gel well. Mickey Arthur is a medicore coach but his record looks 100× better then Kristen because he gelled with sarfi better.
Pakistan has no guidance, they play without any clear plan which unfortunately is the misbah style of cricket. Seriously what is their plan? To hang in their?
And lastly these crapola pitches and going back to pakistan had done massive damage.
Everything from captaincy, to coaching to Management have all gone down the drain ever since the focus shifted from sarfi/mickey and UAE to Misbah/ramiz/naqvi/wahab/babar/ Shan and playing within pakiatan when pakistan is in no condition to actually host a series let alone a tournament.
