Another day, another interview to foreign media, another claim made by PCB chairman Najam Sethi regarding revival of Pakistan cricket. Once the date passes and another claim is proven just a claim, Sethi or any other person of PCB would neither accept, reject, confirm or deny, just stay silent and lie low. Why can't he do this for the rest of the year?
If he has become PCB chairman for doing press conferences than he should find a better organization more suited for such bosses like PIA [PAkistan Airlines].
Sethi's tenure will be regarded as the worst era for organizing Pakistan cricket, and whoever follows him will blame all his current problems on Sethi's tenure. Compared to 2005/6, there is not a single A tour, U-15, U-19 tours planned apart from few multinational tournaments like Asia Cup or World Cup. Even the National team has less than normal matches to play compared to other lower ranked sides like Bangladesh. Our young cricketers have huge issues adapting to foreign conditions, due to zero experience playing on foreign soil. The other teams will either bounce or video-analyze Pakistan out of the competition what New Zealand did recently. Even Mickey Arthur acknowledged the lesser no. of tours affecting the game and preparedness of Pakistani players. They are out playing too many T20s and lesser longer version of cricket.
Our cricket is in a hellh0le, the issue of more tours for our U-19 and second string team is more important than claims of reviving international cricket.
