Walton is not even a regular wicket keeper and I had no idea that he existed until Karachi started to pick him as their regular keeper and have been treating him like a king. Walton does not know how to bat, so not sure what KK saw in this guy.

Karachi had the right idea of having Joe Clarke as keeper who was an excellent batsman so far. They really missed him in the UAE leg
Likes of Bismillah or Rohail Nazir would have done miles better.
Stupid selection from KK. He did jack last year, has poor stats as a batsman, still has been persisted.
Wasim Akram/Gibbs/Imad need to be questioned regarding this senseless selection.

100% the correct decision to let him go, unless they wanted to play Rizwan as an opener instead of Babar.

All that did was expose Babar as a poor captain. Imad’s vision and education is far superior than Babar’s.

Same Imad that kept Rizwan on bench for Chadwick walton.....
Almost as big a mistake as Misbah letting Babar go.
Babar in IU could have done what Rizwan/Shan did to multan. Provide consistent risk free cricket for the hitters to go berserk around.
Misbah’s legacy is still hurting IU just as much as Rizwan leaving Karachi is.
Funny thing is, had Misbah been at Lahore he would 100% have got rid of Shaheen after his first season - and we know how that turned out. (Before you disagree remember the rubbish he was spouting about Shaheen being in the 19 World Cup squad.. right before he performed brilliantly).

IU under Misbah won 2 out of 3 tournaments.
IU won and was already doing well without Babar. People keep mentioning Babar and IU but many people dont know Babar was a walking wicekt in the first psl. He couldnt play pace and was rightly placed on the bench. Islamabad would later on with that season.
Plus, with Khalid Latif and Sharjeel being in IU season 2, Babar couldnt be adjusted and was rightly traded away. We lost season 2 because of the spot fixing by Khalid Latif and Sharjeel. But in Season 3 Islamabad again emerged as winners.
IU does not lose because of its top order batting. IU fills its top order with foreign players. IU losses because of its bowling and and lower order batting. They almost lost season 3 final due to lower order batting.
So plz, when you decide to hate upon Misbah, atleast do bother to be logical. He won 2 psls, something taht no captain has pulled off
They wasted Rizwan. Rizwan even than could had been slotted as opener, but Imad Waseem made the infamous statement in the press conference.
Chalo, if karachi won because of Chadwick Walton, it would had made sense to retain the guy. Instead they even let him off.
Karachi with Babar and Rizwan in the top order could had become the unbeatable team.

That’s not how modern day cricketers with an education view cricket I’m afraid.
England will never open their T20 side with Root and Malan. Australia will not do the same with Smith and Labushange.
India might think about doing it now but their current guns are capable of striking at 200-300 once they have set themselves at the crease as openers.

Never have i ever in my whole life as a Pakistani cricket fan seen such a strong Pakistani top order. Having a strong Pakistani top order was a wet dream for Pakistani cricket fans. No jokes. This is the best top order we will ever enjoy.
WE have lived through those top order order collapses and middle order anchoring.
Didn't Imad wasim get dropped as captain for his domestic today nothern ?
