Dont agree with Umar's recall. Ill always have hope for him, but he needs to be booted out for a full domestic season. This dropping and recall cycle does nothing, all it does is reinforce Umar's delusions that he is doing fine

Azhar is recall is just stupid though expected. Inzi still thinks english pitchs are green and hence we need 'stedy azhar' . I hope he can reinvent himself but that really is wisful thinking. Him opening with Shezhad is the stuff of nightmares for every Pak fan

What was the point of delaying the squad then? The Pakistan Cup seems totally redundant when you see the likes of Azhar and Umar being recalled.

This Champions Trophy will be even worse than the last one.

Zakir was never a serious selection; just a buffer for Hafeez in case he didn't perform in the WI. He's done his job now and has thus been discarded.

was fully expected, when WI tour was announced inzi mentioned they might need azhar because 'steady' players are required in England. Clearly he didnt remember England breaking the ODI highest total against us.

Think this would be our strongest team atm. People will complain Babar being moved to opener, but he's capable of it I believe. Sarfraz too is wasted down at six, you need your best batsmen to get as much strike as possible, and he's done well up the order despite expectations.

Fawad and Usman just happen to be the best middle order domestic batsmen I see to be drafted in. Difficult choice, but atm seems like our opening options are zero. Would rather babar and Sarfraz open and put in some decent middle order bats in, then have two failing openers.

Fawad for all the hate does score runs. I can deal with him being a bit slow as long as the runs are consistent. The man averaged 45 at a SR of 75 on his last comeback. He might even be able to up the SR with an extended run. It's a lot better than 20 at SR 80, and would allow our batting order to be more solid.
