Need the anchor role and Manzoor fits it. Plays technical and proper shots, and has anyone even watched nehras match?? He consistently swung the ball plus he's been CSKs best bowler for past 2 seasons.

Nehra and Malinga are comfortably the best T20 bowlers in Asia as they showed in IPL.
Even in world XI only Warner or will get in the top 4.Rohit Kohli and Raina are comfortably the best in their positions

Mathews is the best Seam all rounder in Asia .
Ashwin and Jadeja are comfortably the best spin bowlers as well.

It's not really a hard selection really

Number 1 and 2 T20I Bowlers are both Asians but they don't make your team, why?

Both are legspinners, so there shouldn't be 2 but atleast one of them should make the XI.

Damn!! How can I forget forget Rashid Khan!! My bad really, sorry I haven't watched too many T20s of late, trying to change that habit. Rashid in replacing Kuldeep.

Pant is purely based on potential and my personal preference, Mushy can play shots all around the ground, can steady the ship while batting at a higher strike rate, he has improved on his hitting leaps and bounds since the T20 WC, a very reliable bat to have in the squad imo. Who would you like to see in place of Mushy?

Shakib may have the stats but lacks impact in the shortest format of the game from what I have seen. Sarfi is no way a better bat than Mushy and sorry I don't think a team can afford a specialist captain in this day and age and captaining in T20s is not that big of a deal anyway.

Rest of the XI looks really good.

I think Dhoni is overrated in T20 as an WK. Rizwan easily deserved to play ahead of him.

Rohit is also ahead of Mahela Jayawardene.

Not sure of the rules maybe they kept it so that you have to select Bangladeshi but not too sure about Shakib.

You can take him out and bring in Dilshan. He didn't hVe an awesome record but was a pioneer ok t20

Jaysuria didn't have a long t20 career either but no harm including.

Dhoni captained India to the 2007 T20 World Cup and played some clutch knocks in T20I around those years. Rizwan blew it on his two opportunities to achieve something similar (in 2021 and 2022) and his SR has progressively gotten worse. Also happens to be a terrible SR for the modern era.

To be fair Asia rarely had decent wicket keeper batsman as a package. Kusal mendis is an atrocious wicket keeper. Sanga is good. But a low strike batsman. India currently has too many wicket keeping options. KL Rahul did for sometime. Isan Kishan i s another choice. Sanju samson has a stirke rate of 166. But only 25 matches or so. Pant never found his range. DK always blew cold cold cold hot cold cold. But still remain the first ever man of the match for INdia in T20 years back. KL averages 40@140 as a keeper
