Luke Ronchi - IPL Career 5 matches total 34 runs at whopping average of 6.8 runs per innings. (This is when Ronchi was regular International player)
PSL 2018 - 11 matches total 435 runs at 40 runs per innings (After retirement)
So your showing some screen shot ?![]()
Why don't u make a separate thread on Luke Ronchi?
As you can see this thread is about Chris Gayle
Lol what? Even this thread is filled with Indian posters making up lies to take shots at PSL, not to mention countless other post throughout the forum . Try to read more closely next time.
Bro already enough useless threads have been created for IPL vs PSL topic, don't want to add one more.
When someone reducles IPL with Gayle scoring, isn't it obvious to counter the same with discarded player Luke Ronchi's awesome record in PSL 2018.
Can't you see the comparison is opt ?
Not really since Gayle is till date the greatest t20 gatsman and Luke Ronchi's case could be similar to someone like Paul Valtathy( Remember him?).
One season wonders.

IIRC Paul Vaulthy played few good innings ...but not leading scorer of the season for sure, unlike PSL Legend Luke Ronchi.
You are comparing Oranges with Apples![]()
Like I said this thread is about Chris Gayle, and if u want to start making silly comparison why don't u tell me who has bowled the most dot balls and most maidens in IPL history?
Irony. Matlab jaantay ho is lafz ka?
As expected. I think you have an issue in comprehending what is being said and forming arguments. A lot of what you post are inane rants rather than analysis. You don't deserve to be trolled right now, seeing as how maasoom you are.
Gayle is an IPL star and a PSL reject. That is a fact and I doubt it would change in the future.
Bro... If Gayle is IPL legend so is Luke Ronchi/Kamran Akmal are PSL legends.
OP should have thought about it before creating this thread !
PS: you took Paul valauthy name first. Stick to topic then.

But this thread isn't about Kami or Ronchi; it is about Gayle
I guess it's Praveen Kumar
But this thread isn't about Kami or Ronchi; it is about Gayle
From when PSL has become measure of standard for players calibre ..lol, only in PP![]()
Gayle should have been picked regardless, had he performed at an acceptable level. What we got was a tail-ender who was learning how to play spin for the first time. I would know, he was picked for my team Karachi Kings in the first season. Not sure who has the comprehending issue. I was clearly explaining why Gayle was first of all not the PSL reject rather he did not want to play for the price lower than his min price. Second he was failing not only in PSL those two years, he failed everywhere. You had no answer, rather you kept saying ipl legend and PSL reject. Also called my explanation as excuse. Anyway keep trolling.

Doesn't matter what are the reasons behind Gayle's exclusion from PSL. Its clear the owners lost faith in his ability to deliver on the money they spend on him. Thus, rejected.
BTW, besides Big Bash not inviting him due to obvious reasons, PSL is the only league where a franchise did not pick up Gayle. Thus, rejected.
I'm not in favour of IPL vs PSL discussions tbh, I'm just arguing on the facts. And the fact is Gayle is a PSL reject and an IPL star. Indians hilariously trying to deny the point being made is well, hilarious. A past it Azhar Mahmood has played the IPL for whichever team, so before you lecture PSL fans for every Ramdin there was in the tournament, have a look at yourself first.
Another blistering innings by PSL reject and IPL legend Chris Gayle going on right now![]()

If only PSL teams could pay $300k and take such risks. Small purse and financial constraints of PSL.
PSL's profit 5mn. Kohli's yearly income 20mn.![]()
Entire Pakistan team was rejected in the IPL auction, wasnt it? Does that make them rejects?
PSL isnt on the list of most top players of Aus SA NZ India. What reject is psl?
IPL teams can take risks on players by paying $300k.Thats why he was picked up at the end of the auction as a wild card.PSL teams dont have that kind of money. They cant pick up a risky $150k player.
Why we should pay that much for a failure player? Don't throw your toys out of the pram child![]()

By this logic entire Indian team was also rejected in the PSL draft. However if you will be a little less joshila and realize that none of the players were either in the auction or in the draft on both sides.
Each team in PSL had 3 platinum players which were being paid around $220,000 so it turns out Gayle was not selected in those 18 player. Why would any PSL franchise would even buy him when he struggles for whatever reason in PSL, does nothing with the bat and a liability in the field. Its understandable as well as he is almost 40 and him performing in IPL is different thing altogether.

I'm looking at the score card and i must say why is bowling so rubbish in IPL? What is this high school club bowling? Embarrassing bowling standards at all. At least create decent pitches instead of these roads, clearly the bowlers aren't skilled enough to bowl on such flat-tracks. No wonder Gayle spanks everyone.
*Embarrassing bowling standards.
Gayle missed out on a century due to rain...

Moral of the story
Gayle is PSL reject and IPL legend.
Ronchi is a IPL reject and PSL legend.
So considering bowling genius of PSL.

Ironically, these same fans claims that they dont follow IPL, and yet here they are creating threads after threads about IPL. I wonder do they get dreams at night about quality of IPL, since they dont actually follow it? Or they secretly follow IPL but dont wanna admit it?![]()
Its all about insecurity and childish attempts to degrade IPL i dont understand for what reason
I have hardly came across any Indian posters who trying hard to claimed that they dont watch PSL and made threads after threads to mock PSL..and here we have many posters jumping on thread with joy every time galyle score some runs in IPL..bcoz with thr great logic ATG gayle is PSL reject and in whichever league he performed that league will become inferior to PSL..
Number of posts and threads by Pak posters about IPL >>>number of posts and threads about PSL
But as per Pak posters, "we do not follow IPL", lol.

Lol most certainly not true
I'm guessing you are very bad at counting.
During PSL there were probably 15+ new PSL threads per day whereas there's barely 15 total threads on IPL this season.
I guess you made this up and started believing it with no evidence just like how you don't believe the simple fact that Gayle is a PSL reject and failure

I'm a Pakistani and I don't have any qualms in admitting IPL is head and shoulders above any league in the world. PSL is taking its baby steps, but I doubt it will ever come close to matching the IPL in terms of stature. However, I have a bone to pick with some shodaybaaz Indian fans on this forum acting all high and mighty, while consistently putting down any other league. We don't troll the humble Indian fans on here.Brother seriously I do not care Gayle is star of which league and reject from which league. I am not even an Indian. But as outsider posters, we all know IPL is miles and miles ahead no matter how you see. I hope PSL progresses so much that it gives IPL run for its money. I was just disgusted to see Pak posters' jealousy towards IPL.
lol Using the same logic Gayle's ODI average against Afghanistan and Ireland is worse than against Pakistan. Hence Ireland/Afghanistan > Pakistan. This the kind of dumb logic some has to resort to feel good about their league.
Last season teams got bowled out for 49, 58, 66, 67,73 . So you cannot say batting is easy. Pakistan's best strike for a player in T20 is Afridi 150. But average is 18. KL Rahul average 45 strike rate 145. Kohli average 50 strike rate 137. Pakistan batsmen don't have great strike rates in general. Those who have good strike also have poor average. I am pretty sure even Pak fans agree how slow the approach of Pakistan batsmen in general is. Most of them are technically poor and also they are not smooth timers of the ball. Their bowling is good. But that is not the reason why PSL has low scores. Slow nature of pitch and general lack of skills with bat is the reason why scores are low.
Number of Indian posters on a Pakistani forum >>>>>> number of Pak posters...
So who's obsessed with who?
AB never entered PSL draft and certainly never failed there so the statement makes no sense.
However it is a fact that Gayle failed for two seasons and then was rejected by PSL teams
No need for sour grapes because thread title is based on factual events .
PSL didnot find ABDV good enough to be entered into PSL drafts. He is a PSL reject.
So for people who are not interested in reading 8 pages of this useless thread let me sum it up:
Pakistani fans - Gayle failed in PSL however he is a legend in iPL.. Hence Indian bowlers are trundles Pakistani bowlers are phaaasssssttt.. PSL >>>> IPL
Indian fans - Best batsmen in PSL are Akmals, Shehzad and rejects like ronchis.. Hence IPL >>>>>>> PSL
Repeat the above two points for 8 pages..

A legend with an average of 29 and SR of 133 in PSL? I don't think so buddy.

Regardless of form or past performance (in PSL), investing on CG in T20 is always a risk worth taking. He is a player who can win a T20 alone from any position. I think, not hiring CG actually exposes the short slightness of PSL and lack of batting understanding of the think tank. They are paying a Diamond contract to Misbah and Gold contract to Ramdhin, Smith ..... therefore, I think paying even a Diamond contract of $185K (I hear the range between $140K to $230K from different sources - I took the average) would have been money well spent.
4 to advance from 6 teams, the gap between last qualifier and 5th team was just 1 point, and I think CG is more than valuable to win or set up couple of games almost alone in 10 tries - that's 4 points.
Was Gayle ready to play for anything less than platinum? None of us clearly know what really happened between Gayle and PSL.Regardless of form or past performance (in PSL), investing on CG in T20 is always a risk worth taking. If Gayle was so particular about platinum category, then he should be blamed as well partly.
For IPL, he was only asking for lowest level price. Shewag had a same thought as yours. He gambled and picked him.

This much logic would be digested here, I doubt.
CG is the Gary Sobers of T20 - doesn't matter what he did in PSL.
Gayle is the T20 GOAT. 21 centuries overall in the format. He has nothing left to prove in his career. Just because he played at the fag end of his career in the PSL and didn't do well doesn't change that. He's done it against the best bowlers in the IPL in the past which is enough.
