Is there a way to get rid of the stink caused by the pads soaking in sweat without damaging the pad? I think its caused by practicing with shorts on, rather than pants.

I thought about soaking the inner part of the pad which is strapped to the leg in water, and leaving it outside to dry, and evaporate - not sure if that'd work though?

I clean my pad by just giving it a simple wipe with a clean cloth, then put some deodrant on the inner part. They are going to worn out and damaged anyway over time. If they still stink its better to get some new ones.

personally I use a wet cloth and then rub hard on the inside. Then a dry cloth to comp dry and then leave in the sun for a couple of hours. works perfectly.

Yaar I am strictly against soaking the pads into water, I was once reading and someone said that if you soak your pads completely into water and let them dry in sun they will have a much better fitting. So I did it and then I was cursing myself because it damaged my pads [below are some pictures]. Now when I take these pads out they smell like a dead animal.

I would also say I was stupid to do this as I did this with my most expensive pads.

My advice would be leave it how it is, pads and everything have limited life just enjoy them as much you can. However, cricketismylife's advice seem to be very good as well. Do you mind if I ask which pads are they?

Best thing to do is wipe down the front of the pad with hot water and detergent. and for the inside just leave them in the sun for a couple of hours and BAM! stink gone.
