Used to be Pakistani chai, now its espresso every morning and chai later.

I need a new coffee machine for the house. I dont want to spend more than £300.

Can anyone recommend or what coffee machine do you have at home? @Bhaijaan

Have never been a coffee enthusiast to the point of buying coffee machines though I appreciate the refined taste people have for their coffee to be a certain way. It would be nice to have but would I really use it, not sure

Am more of a cold beverage kind of guy. Iced coffee and I call it a day, winter or summer. :asghar

Only tea I enjoy is Kashmiri or chamomile.

The only true coffee is espresso, it was a pressured steam system of coffee invented by Italians. The rest are just versions of it, mainly cheaper or more value for money. Muslims are said to be the ones who introduced drinking coffee. A quality , creamy espresso is nothing more than a shot (small amount). One in the morning has helped give me good energy for the day, which is why I swapped with Pakistani tea.

Do you drink green tea?

Desi style chai- elixir of life

Not a coffee fan but if it comes to it, only time I prefer is a nice South Indian filter coffee in a South Indian/Udipi cuisine resistant after a heavy south Indian breakfast/ brunch.

Is this just filtered coffee or some special local coffee?

Espresso? Which brand of coffee do you use and which brand of tea?

I drink a lot of green tea.

I tried a bit of Kashmiri tea recently. But, I may not drink it for long as it has baking soda (too much of it is harmful) and it is more expensive than green tea. Green tea is also healthier.

As for coffee, I prefer Nestle regular coffee. Not espresso.

South Indian filter coffee is a stronger, more bitter version of the capuccino.

The beans themselves are typically Arabica
They are ground finer to get a thicker drip (it can take 20 mins or so for it to drip through)
Some chicory is added in the filter to get that bitterness
Milk is usually 2-3 portions to to 1 portion of the filtered coffee

not really. May have it once in a while. Drank it 2 days ago when I ran out of chamomile lol. It does seem like the healthiest option tea wise.

But nothing beats that energy boost coffee in the morning

Honestly, there's no need to splash out £300 on a coffee machine unless you're going for the top-of-the-range models. But here's my little secret for making the perfect coffee by hand, without breaking the bank.

First, grab yourself some Kenco brand latte or cappuccino sachets - they work wonders. Pop the sachet into your cup, add a little bit of sugar and a touch of Nescafé original coffee. Now, here's the magic part: add a tiny splash of evaporated milk and mix it until it becomes creamy. Finally, fill your cup with boiling water and give it a good stir. And there you have it – a delicious, homemade coffee that rivals any fancy machine!

Give it a try and let me know how you get on. Happy coffee-making!

As a chai addict, it’s the opposite for me, day doesn’t start without a cup of nice hot chai :)

Sounds good bro , thanks. Im always running out of time in the morning, so a machine would be time saving. I also have beans from Columbia and some Arabica ones too, they smell incredible.

I am the odd one out, never been much for regular desi chai. Going to desi social gatherings and have to be in the minority drinking coffee while everyone else is drinking chai.

I like Pakistani Tapal green tea. Also, Tetley is okay.

I have both in my house. I buy a lot of green tea.

Coffee when I wake up, tea otherwise. Used to be multiple coffee cups a day but it started to make me jittery.

I like light roast/blonde coffee and Teavana English Breakfast Tea. I also like Oolong tea.

Heard of oolong tea. Never tried it. Is it like black tea?

Teas I tried:

Tibetan Butter tea
Kashmiri tea
Lime tea
Ginger tea
Milk tea
Masala tea
Green tea
Black tea
Orange pekoe tea
Chamomile tea

Never tried flowering tea. Want to try that too.

I have started having Yemini coffee and Tea and man absolutely nothing beats them.

They are byfar ahead of everyone, love all the new Arab coffee shops opening up in Texas Area.
tried roasting your own?

Fairly easy and not too expensive. Take it to a completely different level

from your neck of the woods.

Lol no, and definitely not doing that due to time constraints, already using Moka Pot at home is time consuming.

But i have had freshly roasted and you are definitely right it’s the best option especially for home.

Tried Arab coffee a while ago. It was amazing. It had a special kick.

Anyway, I generally have regular Nescafe coffee.

In GTA you can get Sunset grill coffee(beans or Ground) , their coffee is surprisingly top notch for a brunch place.

But remember it has to be made at piping hot level to get the same taste.

Coffee anytime. Wish to open my own coffeehouse, that's also a bakery, someday.
haha my dream as well.. thankless job though .. my parents forced me to do engineering and then due to financial situation took up an engineering job if not that was my plan to do so when I lived in India itself.. to start with small bakery(many in Chennai) and expand it to cafe in future.

I still go to unique cafes across North America .. love them

You might want to reconsider if time is you primary concern. It about 15 minutes per week. You can roast about 130g (dry) in 15 minutes = ~13 cups for me.

green coffee bean options are mind blowing. combine that with personalized roast levels = Coffee Nirvana
