Congratulations to India for winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, claiming their third title with a four-wicket victory over New Zealand in Dubai! Chasing 252, India started strong with Rohit Sharma (76) and Shubman Gill (31) putting on a 105-run stand for the first wicket. However, Glenn Phillips's stunning catch and quick wickets from Michael Bracewell and Rachin Ravindra kept the game in the balance.

India’s unbeaten run in the tournament, including wins over Australia and New Zealand, underlines their dominance. A well-deserved victory, adding another ICC trophy to their illustrious cabinet!

Keeping aside the issues GOI and BCCI created, one thing that India should be credited for was the squad selection. Alot of people critisized them about the 5 spinners, but India knew that 5 spinners would be needed.

This is where teams like Pakistan and others that played in UAE need to be bashed that why did you go in with less spinners.

India came i prepared

Then who is to blamed aqib always said spinners will win pakistan matches then he goes to select one spinner.

Best team in the tournament won. Its one thing to have everything in your favour but another thing to fully exploit it and play good cricket to stay undefeated throughout the tournament. India has been the best limited overs team for a long while and this ICC tournament showed it.

They didn't face a full-strength Aussie side.

Best LOI team is still Australia provided they are full-strength.

This rant or excuses shouldn't be repeated as it's cringe Aus got lucky that night,Ind were clearly heavy favourites even then
They were thoroughly thrashed in last wt20
India has thrashed Aus even in 2019 WC
 
Congratulations team india. Managed the expectations brilliantly. One thing to have alot of things in your favour, but execution of expectations is key.

This was always on the cards.

Minnow team fans used to make fun of India losing consecutive knockout games in that 2014-2024 period but it was all a matter of getting one and then the gates would open..

Now it's all just misery and excuses for the said fans.. :inzi
 
India was just the superior team and I don’t wanna hear “all the other teams had to travel but India didn’t” talk.

India was undefeated in the 2023 World Cup until the final, won the 2024 T20 World Cup and has won the champions trophy today. You can literally parachute this Indian team to Antarctica and they would win single-handedly.

Time to accept the reality. India was missing their star bowler, the much overhyped Bumrah and they didn’t miss him for a second.

Hats off to them, truly.

Congrats to Indian fans on PP!

That was as clinical as it gets at the end of the day. A few hiccups but the spinners were ruthless throughout the tournament.

India’s golden run has been special and I think they will win another Asia Cup and T20 WC in the same fashion.
 
Already said After 2024 World T20 win , we had broken the Jinx of not Winning ICC any tournaments since 2013

once it was done now we will win plenty of ICC trophy in next 5 year

Playing at home away from home in Goobai on sluggish slow wicket with 4 quality spinners. Obviously they would win the cup.

Nonetheless enjoy your success.

Why not? What would you have done right now if we had lost. This is my opportunity as we may not win again for a decade.
We suffered for a decade and now we have 2 ICC trophies in 1 year. You will at my receiving end.. only for tonight.

When the whole Salman Rushdie knifing event took place, he went around claiming he read his book Satanic Verses and its his favorite book.

I bet my life he never held a book ever in his hand and he went around claiming out of all the books he read satanic verses lol

Congratulations to Indian team and the Indian fans. A lot of work on the field and behind the scenes to achieve this win. Indian cricket had a major black mark at not being able to win ICC events recently and they have once again delivered in style.
