So Rana Sanaullah, Khwaja Asif in full badmashi mode.

This is unacceptable, when PTI was in power, PDM did tons of jalsas and they wrent harmed in any way.

Now attacking with tear gas, destroying all the managements, arresting people, this is leading to a chaos.

Shame on these goons.

SIALKOT: Police launched a crackdown on the PTI’s activists and got the rally venue vacated in Sialkot in the wee hours of Saturday after they tried to hold a public meeting at the CTI ground, a property of the Christian community, without their consent.

A day earlier, the district administration of Sialkot had rejected PTI’s request for holding a rally at the CTI ground after the Christian community raised objection over the PTI’s scheduled meeting at their property.

Earlier today, PTI leader Usman Dar accompanied by a score of PTI workers arrived at the ground and started preparations for a rally, upon which police launched a crackdown and arrested Usman Dar and many other party workers.

“We have stopped the PTI from holding a public meeting at the CTI ground on the request of the Christian community,” said Deputy Commissioner Imran Qureshi.

He said that permission is required for holding a public meeting at a private place. Taking action on the request of the minority community, the police have got the CTI ground vacated. Christian community told the police that they perform their religious rites on the ground.

The Christian community was protesting against PTI’s call for holding a rally at their property, said the district administration.

Following police action, many PTI workers showed resistance, however police baton-charged and used tear gas to disperse PTI workers.

PTI leader Usman Dar said that a peaceful rally was their right, adding that former prime minister Imran Khan would visit Sialkot today.

The DPO, however, said: "We are ready to give PTI an alternate place for public gathering."

What a mess Pakistan is at the moment.

Chaotic times ahead.

And confrontation in the making.

The site for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s rally in Sialkot changed from the CIT ground – owned by the Christian community – to the VIP cricket ground after members of the minority community protested and filed a writ petition against the use of church land for political purposes.

Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) Hasan Iqbal announced that the venue had been changed and ensured the provision of complete security details for the party’s rally.

“Former prime minister Imran Khan will be provided security according to his rank,” the DPO stated, adding that the rally was stopped at CTI grounds in efforts to not hurt the sentiments of the Christian community.

Earlier in the day, PTI workers were stopped by police and the district administration of Sialkot on Saturday from arranging a rally at the CTI ground with law enforcement resorting to tear gas and batons to disperse the party supporters who resisted the move.

During the dispute, the police arrested PTI leader Usman Dar and several other party activists for trying to hold a rally on the grounds of the Christian community after permission had been earlier denied by DC Imran Qureshi.

Footage showed police personnel at the CTI ground, with PTI activists standing on top of a stationary crane in what seemed to be an attempt to prevent the LEAs from dismantling rally preparations. Clouds of tear gas could also be seen in the footage.

Police arrested Usman Dar, Umar Dar, Hafiz Hamid Raza, Ali Asjad Malhi, Mehr Kashif, Saeed Ahmed, and Barrister Jamshed Ghias.

Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) Hasan Iqbal stated that the ground had been evacuated and no one was detained.

He maintained that the PTI attempted to hold a rally without permission in a place of worship, which was not permitted, and that the district administration had asked them to relocate the rally.

In videos doing the rounds on social media, the Sialkot DPO while talking to PTI members could be heard saying that no one was preventing the party from holding a rally in Sialkot, however, the grounds on which they stood were the private property of the Presbyterian American society.

"You have not taken due permission from them [the owners of the grounds] and they are a minority group," he added.

The DPO questioned if the state of Pakistan would not stand up against other groups who would arrive at a location without fulfilling the due processes.

'Site in question is private property'

According to a writ petition filed to the deputy commissioner of Sialkot, the “site in question is a private property in the name of “American Mission” … and is in close proximity to the Cantonment Area”.

The petitioner – as well as several other organisations representative of the Christian community – pleaded that the site held a religious sanctity to Christians across the country and “holding a political gathering at the said place may hurt the religious sentiments of the Christian community at large which can lead to a law and order situation”.

Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Imran Qureshi said that the political gathering could not be held at a private place and that the authorities would permit the party to hold their rally in any other place.

“The relocation is requested because the site is privately owned by the American Church,” he added.

This will backfire for N-league , not a sensible act by them in their own interest. Id there any sensible person left in PML ? Is this the new strategy they came out with after London meeting ? Pathetic.

More chaos , louder the voice for immediate announcement for new election.

Fascist Milltary rule in PK. This was decided by Chief Martial law administrator Bajwa and implemented by low life's on the ground.

Former prime minister Imran Khan is addressing a public gathering in Sialkot, one of several rallies by the former ruling party following Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman's ouster from power last month after a no-trust vote by the Parliament.

A large number of people can be seen at the venue of the rally with Imran Khan on the stage.

In his today's speech, the former premier is expected to give next line of action to the supporters in his drive against the incumbent government, which he refuses to accept as a legitimate one.

SIALKOT: PTI Chairman Imran Khan said Saturday he has recorded a video of the characters behind the "conspiracy" against his government, and if something happens to him, it will be released.

The ousted prime minister, in his address to the Sialkot jalsa, said a "conspiracy" was being hatched to take his life — and despite knowing about it earlier, he has now enough evidence to confirm it.

The PTI chairman, in light of the alleged plot to kill him, said he has recorded a video and stored it in a "safe place" in which he has mentioned each and every character that was behind the "conspiracy" to oust his government.

"They (without specifying) have deiced to kill Imran Khan. And this is why I have recorded this video as I don't consider what I do as politics, but this is jihad to me," the PTI chairman said.

Khan said he has named everyone — the people who were involved in the "conspiracy" abroad and at home. "I have said in the video that the names of every person who conspired against my government are etched on my heart."

The PTI chairman said the reason behind his video was that in Pakistan, powerful people are not held accountable, thus, through this video, he will expose everyone who went "against the country's interest."

Khan said that during his tenure, he wanted to hold the corrupt politicians accountable, but the "powerful people" who could do that have now accepted corruption as a norm.

The ousted prime minister urged people to come out against the government and support the PTI as if they do not do this, "you will have no future".

The ousted prime minister has held a series of rallies across different cities of Pakistan, including Karachi, Mianwali, Lahore, Peshawar, and Jhelum, as he readies his party against the government ahead of the Islamabad march.

'We never stopped their rallies'
The Sialkot jalsa is being after heightened political activity took place in the wee hours of Saturday as the Christian community protested against PTI's initial rally venue.

At the Christian community's complaint, the police vacated the venue and as some PTI workers and leaders intervened, they were arrested in the process.

The PTI then changed the venue of its public gathering from CTI ground — a property of the Christian community — to VIP Ground in Sialkot as it had not taken prior permission from them for the rally.

Following this, PTI leaders and workers, including Usman Dar, were released.

Reacting to the Sialkot police and local administration's action against PTI workers, the party chairman said that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif's party was an equal "coward".

Khan, slamming the government, said that when PTI was in power, it did not stop the then-Opposition from holding long marches, rallies, or sit-ins.

"Every three months, they [PML-N would come to Islambad] to oust our government. Biggest disease Asif Ali Zardari and the person who sells diesel permits, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, were also with you then," Khan said.

Khan said that his party has always remained peaceful, but warned Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and the government that if they resort to violence, then they would "not get any place to hide".

Moving on, the ex-prime minister Khan said after the first independence struggle, that led to the creation of Pakistan, the nation was struggling for "real independence" for the second time.

Reminds me off walter white, when he messes up bad and is about to get exposed. So he makes a video tape of a conspiracy against him by his brother in law.

So, this is the reason why the american backed corrupt individuals came to power.

Get rid of Imran, create chaos, term Pakistan unstable and then get rid of its nukes.

I hope among the chaos, these crooks also get caught up in it and suffer with their lives.

I am the son of a former soldier and I am and always will be pro army but they way they have connived with criminals to impose effective Martial Law with some puppets has truly shocked me. Bajwa will be cursed forever for his betrayal of PK.

The US, Nato and India would want Pakistani people and army to go into conflict as it weakens the nation.

Im sure there are many in the army who support IK, they will take down Bajwa in due course.

No power in existance can harm IK if God has his back.

.

No, I don't believe so, it would be in India's interest to see an economic and political stable Pakistan as it makes the entire region stable.

If you look at how Bangladesh is progressing, it is good from an India perspective..

It would be 100% in everyone's interest if thesre is an economically and geopolitical secure region.

Let's be honest though, I'm sure India would much rather Pakistan implode.

Agree with that, India has nothing to do with our current issues. But US and NATO, they are behind all of it. Hate between people and Army is weakening our country and thats not a good sign.

It's not something new in Pakistan, PDM knows there is no answer and they are doing other tactics along with their helpers.

Why would I love my army? Can you give me few reasons.

You and yours comments usually makes no sense? He is the most popular leader right time, I will say the only leader as we have no other leader right now.

Actually, media wasnt giving him any coverage initially. But after his huge jalsas, they all are now giving coverage. So the news channels needs him.

Yes the news channel , social media needs him, it's not him and wants to stay in the news but it's the other way around.

Can anyone make a list of the people who want the messiah dead. Does the list include Joe Biden and the Israeli PM as well?

Can someone make a list of the threads you have run away from. The latest of those threads was on your beghairati of supporting a fugitive on the run in London whilst criticising overseas PKs. A "real PM" meeting a fugitive should have been enough for you to drown yourself with shame. But alas you wear it with a badge of honour

Maybe the CIA will print that list off and pin it on an interfaith assembly noticeboard in Washington.

These would be the people whose livelihoods (ie corruption) is at stake.

PTI leader Shahbaz Gill has expressed his desire to file an FIR — “when circumstances permit” — against Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) Hasan Iqbal over what he claimed was the latter’s failure to provide security to party chief Imran Khan during his rally at the city's VIP cricket ground.

The PTI was compelled to hold the jalsa at this ground after authorities refused to allow the political rally to be held at the CTI ground, and sent a contingent of police to dismantle structures PTI workers had erected for the purpose. Upon resistance, police charged at the activists and employed tear gas.

PTI leader Usman Dar and other activists were arrested and subsequently released.

The police action took place because the CTI ground, according to DPO Iqbal, is private property owned by the local Christian community, who objected to its use for a political rally.

The claim, however, was denied by Shunila Ruth, a PTI lawmaker from Punjab who belongs to the Christian community. According to her, this objection was raised by Christian members of the PML-N who were polticising the issue. Ruth claimed that the ground in question was not part of a church compound and was not reserved just for religious events, adding that the "imported government is using the Christian community for its politics".

"This ground has been used for multiple purposes including weddings, funerals and sports activities for kids," Ruth said.

PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb and other cabinet members separately pilloried the PTI for what they said was the party's attempt to forcibly hold a rally on a property belonging to a minority community.

PML-N leader Ataullah Tarar had said the government would not allow “religious divisions” to be promoted.

Viral social media videos depicted DPO Iqbal calmly explaining to Dar and the other leaders at the scene that the field they were insistent on holding the rally on belongs to the minority community and it would be wholly inappropriate to organise one there, particularly when community had objected to it.

The video was retweeted by PML-N leaders like Maryam Nawaz.

By the afternoon, PTI’s Punjab president Shafqat Mahmood announced that the rally would be held at the VIP ground instead.

“Hasan,” Gill tweeted early Sunday morning, hours after the rally was held. “You destroyed the jalsa venue.

“You did not provide any security at the alternative place. And then by not providing security to Imran Khan, you put his life in danger. As his chief of staff, as soon as circumstances permit, I will file an FIR against you and there will be a complete legal reckoning. Your actions will be remembered.”

However, before Gill's tweet, the Sialkot DPO's office had said on Twitter that more than 1,600 police personnel, including several police superintendents and their deputies, were on hand for the event's security.

After Shafqat Mahmood announced the party would be holding the rally at the other venue, the Sialkot DPO’s office pledged on Twitter that it would be providing “full security” for the jalsa which would be commensurate with Imran Khan's stature as a former prime minister. In the same tweet, the DPO’s office clarified that the police action was undertaken to ensure the Christian community's religious sentiments were not hurt.

Then, after Imran Khan's jalsa was over, the Sialkot DPO's office tweeted a photo of a Christian boy named Allen Masih saluting the DPO Iqbal for "ensuring the protection of the Christian community's religious rights".

Minutes after, the office tweeted photos of armed police personnel at the VIP ground — supposedly during the rally — with the accompanying caption: "Sialkot Police provided the best security to the PTI meeting held at VIP Ground. In this connection, 1,678 police officers and men including 2 SPs and 11 DSPs performed their duties."

Gill then responded to the Sialkot DPO's tweets, criticising his decorum. He first responded to the tweet showing the boy saluting DPO Iqbal. "You're in uniform. If you want to salute, do it standing up.

"At least respect that uniform. Now, after these dramas, join the PML-N officially and stand for the MPA election next time under Khawaja Ventilator. Because your actions are those of patwaris (PML-N supporters)."

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif was elected as a lawmaker from Sialkot, and PTI leaders disparagingly refer to the PML-N leader as "ventilator" after he remarked in a media briefing on March 31 that if the US wanted, it could "pull the plug on Pakistan's economy which is running on ventilators and drips".

Gill then responded to the tweets detailing the number of police personnel provided for security and dismissed it as "all drama and lies". "All these people were silent spectators. Standing on the side, no one was on security duty."

He added that he spoke to a few personnel himself, who told him that DPO "forbade us to go further" and that they should stand on the side.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the interior ministry to provide water-tight security to former prime minister Imran Khan at his home in Islamabad and during political rallies.

In this regard, the prime minister has held two threat assessments meetings with officials from the interior ministry to finalise the security detail of the former prime minister.

At Khan’s residence in Bani Gala, 94 security officers will be deployed, as per the spokesperson of the interior ministry. Of which, 22 men will be from the Islamabad police and 72 from the Frontier Constabulary.

In addition, 26 officers from the security service and nine military personnel will also be made available.

Separately, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has provided 26 cops and Gilgit-Baltistan has also sent six men for the former prime minister’s protective detail.

Moreover, a chief security officer will be provided to Khan, states the spokesperson of the interior ministry, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also directed provincial governments to ensure Imran Khan has adequate security when he is holding political rallies across the country.

When Imran Khan is on the move, four police vehicles will accompany him with 23 cops, as well as a vehicle with five Rangers personnel.

The interior ministry spokesperson added that if there is a specific threat to the former prime minister more security will be made available.

Latest gem by the fake messiah:

“It is better to nuke Pakistan than to hand it over to Sharifs”

His insanity is uncontrollable now - even Trump didn’t come up with such statements. Cult-followers will defend this and give a lecture on expression of language.

Imran’s condition is going to get worse and worse. He needs proper treatment.

Since the Americans were stupid enough to reveal the “conspiracy” to the Pakistani ambassador, it wouldn’t be surprising if the assassin is put on the cover of the New York Times.

I don’t think Imran had to go through all the trouble of filming a video.

“It is better to nuke Pakistan than to hand it over to Sharifs

His insanity is uncontrollable now - even Trump didn’t come up with such statements. Cult-followers will defend this and give a lecture on expression of language.

Imran’s condition is going to get worse and worse. He needs proper treatment.

Sums up how self-centred and insincere he's always been. He pretends to care for the wellbeing and greater good of Pakistan.

He showed a glimpse of this side during his speech in the 92 WC final post-match presentation.

Just goes to show it has always been about himself. As you rightly say even Trump didn't go to these lengths after he lost the election to Biden.

The guy has gone insane, the military and the ISI will have to make a few tough decisions about Imran, they must have planned to finish his career in the next elections but they maybe forced to act earlier than that.

Somethings gotta give. I am sure Bajwa is soon on the way outs and the new COAS will try to cover this mess up and install IK again. I really do not see any other choice. The people are very riled up. This has the hallmark of a bloody revolution unless the establishment proactively does something about it.

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has ‘withdrawn’ security provided to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan as former prime minister despite security alerts being issued previously, ARY NEWS reported.

PTI leader Shahbaz Gill while taking to Twitter said that the police security given to the former prime minister Imran Khan has been withdrawn. “All personnel of Islamabad police have been withdrawn on Thursday evening,” he said.

He lamented that a convict Maryam Nawaz was given prime minister-level security while on the other hand, security has been withdrawn from Imran khan. “These are cheap tactics of the imported government,” Shahbaz Gill said.

Trying to explain to someone that it's the states responsibility to protect its citizens isn't personal and then explaining that the state and govt aren't always the same. The state can prosecute the head of the govt

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Babar Awan has said that Imran Khan’s life is in danger during the next 24 hours, ARY News reported on Saturday.

Babar Awan said in a video message that PTI Chairman Imran Khan will be facing serious threats to his life during the next 24 hours. He said that Khan secured protective bail from the Peshawar High Court (PHC).

CTD issues alert on terrorists’ plot to assassinate Imran Khan

PESHAWAR – The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued a threat alert regarding a plot hatched by terrorists for assassination of former prime minister and PTI chairman Imran Khan.

The threat alert, dated June 18, said that terrorists are planning to attack the former premier, adding that an Afghanistan-based killer had been hired to execute the plan.

CTD has asked all relevant department to take all possible steps for the security of Imran Khan, who has been holding public gatherings and rallies against incumbent coalition government since his ouster from the prime minister’s office.

Last week, PTI leader Fayaz ul Hassan Chohan took to Twitter to share that “some people” had tasked a terrorist in Afghanistan with the assassination of the ousted prime minister.

Chohan tweeted: "It is reported that some people have ordered a terrorist named Kochi in Afghanistan to assassinate PTI Chairman Imran Khan."

The PTI chairman had claimed last month that a conspiracy was being hatched to kill him. The former premier said he had recorded a video naming all those involved in the conspiracy to topple his government and then assassinate him.

PTI chairman Imran Khan alleged on Friday that the “imported government and its handlers” were working on a “minus one formula” as party leaders urged supporters to take to the streets to express solidarity with the former prime minister.

Imran’s statement comes a day after the Islamabad High Court decided to indict him in contempt proceedings over his diatribe at a rally in Islamabad last month against Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry —who had approved PTI leader Shahbaz Gill’s physical remand in a sedition case.

Recently, in his rallies, the PTI chief has alleged that attempts were being made to “push him against the wall”. Last week, Imran accused PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari of wanting to “appoint an army chief of their choice” in November to save their skin in corruption cases.

His comments drew ire from both the army and the government.

Most recently, he alleged that a conspiracy was being hatched to topple the PTI government in Punjab. Imran said that “Mr X and Mr Y” were threatening his party members to accept bribes.

In a tweet today, the ex-premier said: “Tomorrow our Gujranwala jalsa will be last of our present phase of Haqiqi Azadi Movement. I will announce the next critical phase at the jalsa.”

He added that the imported government and its handlers “are so petrified that the nation is standing firmly behind PTI that they are desperately moving on Minus 1 formula”.

Ahead of Imran’s statement, PTI leader Asad Umar urged the nation to take to the streets on Saturday evening in an expression of solidarity toward the PTI chairman.

Similarly, at a media talk today, former information minister Fawad Chaudhry also appealed to the people to come out against the government’s “minus one formula”.

“It seems like the government doesn’t want to hold elections. Tomorrow, a protest movement will commence across the country […] we urge the entire nation to participate in it,” he said.

Allah is the best of protectors, Qur'an 3:150. If IK is destined to die at the hands of an assassin then nothing can change that.

Bullet proof vest and guards might help. If they did not, he would have no security. Precautions help.

Bajwa ‘wanted me dead’, alleges Imran

Former premier and PTI Chairman Imran Khan has alleged that former army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa had planned to have him murdered and impose a state of emergency in the country, a private TV channel reported on Wednesday.

The startling allegation was said to be made during his interaction with a Bol News team in Lahore.

Bol’s Lahore bureau chief Syed Khawar Abbas quoted Mr Khan as saying in the as-yet unaired interview that he would make “more revelations” during his press conference on Thursday (today) regarding the attempt on his life in Wazirabad.

According to Mr Abbas, the former PM said he was being told by many to stop levelling allegations against the former army chief as he has retired, but he could not cover up “the crimes that Gen Bajwa had committed”.

Asking the courts to take suo motu notice of the matter, the ex-premier pressed for the registration of an FIR over the attempt on his life and named people who he thought were behind the murder conspiracy.

He also told the journalists that he would tour the country once his condition improved.

DAWN

Former prime minister Imran Khan on Thursday termed the Nov 3 attack on him in Wazirabad to be a “planned assassination attempt”, insisting that three shooters were involved in the incident.

Addressing the nation, the ex-premier — who is still recovering from his bullet injuries — called for a “powerful” body backed by the chief justice of Pakistan to probe the incident as he talked about the findings of the joint investigation team (JIT).

Last year in Nov, a PTI worker died and 14 others, including the former prime minister and PTI leaders, were injured in the attack at Wazirabad’s Allah*wala Chowk, where the party’s “Haqeeqi Azadi”’ march against the federal government had stopped on its way to Islamabad.

An official privy to the findings of the JIT earlier told Dawn that shots were fired by “three unknown shooters, from unknown weapons” from a considerable height other than the gun attack carried out by the suspect, Naveed Meher, arrested from the spot.

In his televised address, the PTI chairman said that “two to three people” were behind the plot to assassinate him. “I know that the country’s armed forces are giving sacrifices for the country […] but there are black sheep in every institution.

“But the person who planned this, I want them to cooperate with the JIT. Action should be taken against those deliberately obstructing justice.”

He also appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial for justice. “I had stated earlier that I only expect justice from the Supreme Court. Powerful people who I have named will not allow justice to be carried out. If the chief justice back a powerful inquiry, only then can I get justice.”

‘Planned attack’

During his address, Imran claimed that people from “agencies” had already informed him about the bid to assassinate him. He said that “Liaquat Ali Khan type shooting incident” was planned to kill him with the motive similar to the “killing of Salman Taseer”.

He added that the plot was unsuccessful as the bullet fired by Naveed, the suspected shooter, hit one of the PTI workers instead.

He further said that the Gujrat district police officer (DPO) had refused to cooperate with the JIT formed to probe the attack while the Counter Terrorism Department personnel, who had appeared in the suspect’s confessional video, had also refused.

Without taking names, Imran said that “an institution” working under the federal government had refused to conduct a forensic analysis of a mobile phone forwarded by the JIT.

During the address, Imran also played a CCTV video which purportedly showed the DPO directing an official to record the confessional statement of the Wazirabad shooter.

“Which institution was behind the release of the suspect’s confessional statement? I know it,” he said. “I hope we can tell everyone who they are when the JIT summons them.”

Rana dispels Imran’s claims
Imran’s address came hours after Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah dismissed the PTI’s claim of the involvement of three shooters and termed the video statement by the suspect Naveed to be “100 per cent correct”.

Responding to a question from a reporter during a press conference in Islamabad, he said the suspect was “religiously motivated and self-motivated”.

“There was no second or third suspect involved in the incident other than the arrested suspect.”

Rana asserted that the PTI could conduct as many investigations as it desired but would not be able to “insert a second or third suspect”.

The interior minister further said that multiple videos of the attack showed the presence of a single shooter.

He alleged Imran was pretending to be injured, adding that it was impossible not to suffer a fracture after getting shot by a bullet.

Some in the establishment and The Nooras joint operation failed through sheer luck and bravery of the PTI worker( Shaheed). The plan was to make the tool look guilty and then kill him, a bit like Lee Harvey Oswald. The timeline is damning and the involvement of Geo and other mafia journalists is so blatant, that it's difficult to believe that 2023 these criminals are walking free. No doubt the Generals and the mafia will have another go but any night that is to be spent in the grave cannot be spent anywhere else. They cannot afford elections because they will get smashed and they can't afford Kaptaan to be alive because he will smash them. Some guy claimed it was all fake Major. Do you know who it was?

Years back read a tough but great book by KK Aziz - Murder of history. With years passing by and the unraveling, the book seems more and more prophetic.

Imran fears fresh bid on life as court asks him to join probe

The Lahore High Court on Tuesday directed former prime minister Imran Khan to join investigation being carried out by police into cases against him.

The PTI chief reached the court along with his counsel amid strict security as a larger bench, headed by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi, resumed hearing on his petition challenging the registration of as many as 121 cases against him.

Justice Aalia Neelum, Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh, Justice Anwarul Haq Pannun and Justice Muhammad Amjad Rafiq were other members of the bench.

At the outset, Justice Najafi told Barrister Salman Safdar, the counsel for Imran Khan, the petition was well drafted but legal points were not easy to be found due to the details about the petitioner and his government.

When Justice Neelum asked whether the petitioner was nominated in all the FIRs, the counsel said he would take 15 minutes to present the whole case record before the bench. He said politically motivated cases had been registered against the petitioner by police at the behest of the government.
