Shanaka to Hooda, no ball, Shanaka strikes again as Hooda is caught first ball! But hang on! The umpires get together and have referred it upstairs. They want to check the height of this delivery. Shanaka has already bowled one bouncer for the over - is this the second one over the shoulders? It's very tight. But the third umpire thinks that it is over and calls a no-ball. It was a slower short ball outside off,

Poor decision

There are bowlers bowling 3/4 of these deliveries every over and getting away with it without the umpires checking them

Correct decision but should also be given a no ball when a batsman doesn't play it. Just as every front foot no ball is checked by the TV umpire they should also check these.

Was a touch and go decision - the ball was reachable for the batter.

Correct....the umps need to be consistent about this.

You can't check it for some players while ignoring others.

The umpires should be more consistent but it was the right call for this one.

It was marginal. Not conclusive.

Whatever the soft signal is should be the verdict.

Lol, won't have mattered and didn't matter anyways.

It's the correct call but umpires need to be consistent with all teams. I'm quite sure that Nawaz faced two above shoulder height short balls against India without getting the call. He may not have played at the second one, but whether if batsman plays at it or not, it's not material.
