A lot of rumours in recent times about the potential of Myanmar voluntarily joining Bharat.

Dont think it will serve India any advantage to have another trouble strifed state in their country. I am not well aprised of the situation though, what about some cost benefit analysis? @Bhaijaan

I said it on this forum many years ago that people take status quo too seriously. A lot of international borders aren’t even 100 years old and there’s no guarantee of them standing another 100 years. Look at how US is mocking Canada to become their 51st state and openly calling for Greenland to become their part. You have China taking over Tibet, Mongolia, Taiwan etc. Russia’s annexed a large part of Ukraine. With the current political and security situation in the subcontinent i have major doubts the status quo can hold for too long. Makes perfect sense for Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar to become a part of Bharat rather than acting buffer state between two giants and trying to extort money from both.

Adding land is always seductive but I think its a dangerous game for India here.
India's interference will be an open invitation for China to march into myanmar openly.
We dont need another longer headache boundary with China. Myanmar is a nice buffer for both nations.

No Thank you!

We do not want territories from other countries that come with all sorts of nonsensical baggage.

Myanmar should remain independent. India can cooperate and help the Myanmarese if needed, but no annexation please

Burma is part of Akhand Bharat historically speaking.

No surprises if they want to rejoin the motherland

Expecting Nepal and Bhutan to follow

Within 20 years, Nepal, Burma, Bhutan to rejoin Bharat

Pakistan to rejoin within 50 years

They have shown the requisite hatred for Bangladeshi Muslims so would seem like a good ideological fit. But I don't see it happening as I just don't think Bharat is ready for the Akhand part.

Are the Burmese people interested in that? Doesn't seem like it.

Also, will China allow it? China has interests in Myanmar. :inti

No. China won’t allow it. But Rakhine state should be part of Bangladesh though. Am sure if remained, under united Pakistan, we would’ve annexed Rakhine by now with the help of West Pakistani atom and nukes. And solved the rohingya crises by now. China wouldve allowed it too.

I am happy that China is in the region to keep India in check. Without China, India could've been more problematic. :inti

I agree with you that Rakhine state should have been included within Bangladeshi border. Rohingyas are ethnically closer to us than the Burmese.

There’s always someone, something bigger, better, stronger than you in this world.

IMO. China is indeed the lesser of the two evils. If you know what I mean brother :).

Yes. I know China is not fault-free. But, lesser of the two evils as you said.

Without China there I reckon India would’ve acted more rogue and showed more dadagiri probably would’ve annexed Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, even Myanmar to reach south east asia market.

It’s only a matter of time.

People and army of Nepal want to bring back the Hindu Rashtra.
