Hey Folks!

Sorry to bother you all but struggling with COVID and pneumonia right now. Doesn’t seem too serious because only prescribed antibiotics for now. Throat pain and coughing are the main symptoms for now.

Please pray for a quick recovery please :)

Thank you!

My sister in law got seriously ill before Xmas and the problems started with covid and led to serious breathing problems and lung infections. At one stage she needed 8Kg of oxygen and it was scary. I would urge you to avoid the desi tendency to do our own Doctory. Trust the professionals

Sure I will thank you!

Get a SATS probe, they're cheap and while not 100% accurate as the ones in the ward they're useful. If you're increasingly short of breath or your SATS drop below 94% on a consistent basis then get hospital help as soon as possible.

Though almost likely you'll be fine especially with your jabs.

Thanks for the suggestion

Just checked - oxygen is 98% right now

Get well soon!

Just a timely reminder that the menace of Covid hasn't gone away.

Covid is viral pneumonia. Seems you have contracted bacterial infection on top of that hence the antibiotics.

Hopefully the fever has subsided and you are maintaining your saturation.

Get well soon.

It’s awful how this horrible virus can kick off all sorts of complications.

Get well.

Vaccine damage, immune response weakened etc. You are taking something because they told you to take it, there is no long term data on these vaccines/boosters so its a shot in the dark, ie Russian roulette.

Hope you get well soon, sounds horrible.

Ha yes I got the vaccine due to travel requirements that still persist today. I still have doubts about the long term efficacy of the vaccine - especially if COVID remains an endemic..

But yea thank you feeling much better :)

On the flip side, he may literally be not posting if not vaccinated

Id seek a 2nd opinion from another Dr or specialist. Regular doctors just prescribe antibiotics for most infections. Get some strong Manuka or Sidr honey for the chest.

I actually went urgent care first… and they told me to do nothing :)

My primary physician is the one prescribing antibiotics. I feel like he is not a 100% sure himself but is taking a best guess. I’ll give an update after 7 days

Hope you recover soon. Just keep yourself warm and cozy. You have access to some of the best healthcare personnel.

I struggled with Covid last year for 3 months last summer. Throat pain went away after 10 days but the fevers, man, thought they had gone away after 20 miserable days only to return 4-5 days later and persisted for another 15-20 days and the cycle would repeat. 3 woeful months i can't forget. The fever was unlike i had ever experienced. Was shivering without any fan on in the peak summer of Pakistan.

Majority of PCP's in USA don't prescribe antibiotics without any reason. So do take them. Add some licorice and ivy leaf extract for throat pain and cough. They'd be available easily. Joshanda is easily available from desi stores. Hope you recover soon.

Doctors are just people, dont take them as saviors. If you feel a doctor is not invested in your health, find another one. Remember all these doctors accepted Covid as a natural disease, now the CIA have openly said it came out of a lab. Doctors also said Covid is very serious but now confirmed not much different to the flu.

German patient vaccinated against Covid 217 times

A 62-year-old man from Germany has, against medical advice, been vaccinated 217 times against Covid, doctors report.

The bizarre case is documented in The Lancet Infectious Diseases journal.

The shots were bought and given privately within the space of 29 months.

The man appears to have suffered no ill effects, researchers from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg say.

CIA says lab leak most likely source of Covid outbreak

The CIA on Saturday offered a new assessment on the origin of the Covid outbreak, saying the coronavirus is "more likely" to have leaked from a Chinese lab than to have come from animals.

But the intelligence agency cautioned it had "low confidence" in this determination.

A spokesperson said that a "research-related origin" of the pandemic "is more likely than a natural origin based on the available body of reporting".

The decision to release that assessment marks one of the first made by the CIA's new director John Ratcliffe, appointed by Donald Trump, who took over the agency on Thursday.

Ratcliffe, who served as director of national intelligence during President Trump's first term, has long favoured the lab leak theory, claiming Covid most likely came from a leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The institute is a 40-minute drive from the Huanan wet market where the first cluster of infections emerged.

In an interview with Breitbart News published on Friday, Ratcliffe said he wanted the CIA to abandon its neutral stance on the origins of the virus and "get off the sidelines".

"One of the things that I've talked about a lot is addressing the threat from China on a number of fronts, and that goes back to why a million Americans died and why the Central Intelligence Agency has been sitting on the sidelines for five years in not making an assessment about the origins of COVID," he said.

"That's a day-one thing for me."

But officials told US media that the new assessment was not based on new intelligence and predates the Trump administration. The review was reportedly ordered in the closing weeks of the Biden administration and completed before Trump took office on Monday.

The review offered on Saturday is based on "low confidence" which means the intelligence supporting it is deficient, inconclusive or contradictory.

There is no consensus on the cause of the Covid pandemic.

Some support a "natural origin" theory, which argues the virus spread naturally from animals, without the involvement of any scientists or laboratories.

The lab leak hypothesis specifically has been hotly contested by scientists, including many who say there is no definitive evidence to back it up. And China has in the past dismissed the lab claim as "political manipulation" by Washington.

Still, the once controversial theory has been gaining ground among some intelligence agencies.

In 2023, FBI Director Christopher Wray told Fox News it was his bureau's assessment that "the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident".
