any lahorites here who can give suggestions on where to buy cricket equipment from lahore? I'm visiting for a couple of weeks this summer and want to bring back a kit, but I dont want to get duped and bring back counterfeit stuff.

if your looking for a bat be very careful cos most shops will have cheap bats with expensive bats stickers on them like as, ca etc/
its better to buy from a big store, which looks more organized and offers alot more products on other sports, rather then small shops, even if they are expensiver
also check the stickers on the bats, they should be made of plastic not paper and be quite thick, also if its AS then it should have AS carved on its shoulders, also the grip can tell if its genuine.

i forgot the name of the shop i went to but it was a big store in anarkhali market, something like star sports.

there is one zaidi sports in chuburji chawk. i bough t my mb malik tiger hard ball bat from ther about 2 years ago. i havent gone there since but it was a good shop. there r shops in liberty as in the basement of shezan bakery. dont go to international sports in liberty they r very expensive.

There a couple, depends, famous ones are nasrullah sports which was founded by nusrullah khan and then there was of course imran qadirs shop. those are few. Then the small ones but i dont recall them.

I really dont understand people why people by bats from Pakistan when they live in England.. bats in England, like kookabura, grey n, slazenger are alot better than ca,As, and malik.. maybe it is because bats in england are expensive,

I cannot understand why anyone would buy a bat from England when they could get a bat from Pakistan which would be a) better and b) cheaper.

how are bats in Pakistan better?
Here in Denmark, no one use Pakistani bats..

go to anarkali from the main road
walk down for about 30 seconds
on ur left is a sports shop
got a few bats from there back in the days - always been really good

Ofcourse, Denmark is the be all and end all of world cricket.

Have a look around Liberty Market. There's some stores downstairs that sell decent bats. HangTen near Y-Block also has a sport equipment section (third floor if I remember correctly) that sells good quality bats such as Irfan and Slazenger. The foreign brands are always more expensive though; your best bet is to buy a CA, MB Malik, etc.

Slazenger hav official shops in pakistan...
the bats are made in pak..bought a SE ultimate worth 270 for 3500 rupees...shown it here and its genuine......

otherwise if u are lookin for a pakistani make...go to anarkali...gander sports sells authentic stuff at decent prices...the guy is a really nice guy and gives discounts if u buy loads of stuff

What a rip-off. :p

thanks for all the advice guys. I was hoping for some more concensus. It seems liberty under Shezan is the place to go. unless i want to go through anarkali looking for decent looking shops. its tough in Pakistan when you can't trust what you are getting.

to answer a question above, I am not from England. If I was I probably would have spend the extra $'s and bought it all from England. unfortunatley there are no cricket shops here in Indiana so this is my only option for picking out a bat myself. ordering a bat online just doesnt make sense to me.

Man I would still go slazenger........I bought one from them even though im sponsored here in UK......my SE is one helluva beast............its 270 pound rrp but i bough it for 4000 rupees...........

Pakistani bats ...only decent brands in my opinion r CA (my limited edition aka my baby is one of the best bats ive ever had), Ihsan and Malik.... dislike new ihsan stickers tho....................

Liberty will rip u off and I find them a bit.......crook type....

Anarkali is good...gander sports....the old guy won me over...honest shopkeepers are hard to find and his price were very good as was the stuff......

Apollo Sports is where I get my products.
It is near Faisal Town/Jinnah Hospital.

Is that in Pindi?

There aren't that many shops in Pindi that sells Legit bats. Mostly fake ones.

But there use to be a Slazenger Shop(don't know if it still exsist) in that KFC Plaza, back of Chen One. But they will probably be expensive ones, as its under a offcial slazenger shop.

There are some sports shop in Sardar, near Varan Ada, under the masjid, don't know if they are selling legit bats. Got my Pakistan cricket jersey from there.

hi all, I'm going to pakistan in 2 weeks and want to buy a really good masuri helmet and a fantastic cricket bat. I don't really care about brand, it could be plain tbh, but a high class grade 1/1+ english willow bat.

I'm visiting Islamabad and Lahore.

Anyone know any really good shops that won't rip me off because I'm from UK?

thanks

If you are from the UK, why are you buying a Masuri from Pakistan? The bat makes sense but not sure about the helmet. Helmets can have variations in India and Pakistan and might not have the same level of protection always. Just my two cents. :)
