Blaming Misbah-ul-Haq in 2026 for everything wrong with Pakistan cricket is just about the most intellectually lazy thing you can do. He left the coaching setup 5 years ago... are you telling me that he was using a remote control to control all the coaches and chief-selectors that came after him? Did they not have their own free-will to promote Fakhar Zaman up the order?

And if he really was this evil mastermind holding Pakistan back then we should have seen dramatic improvement by now,. Why is then that this crap team just keeps getting worse and worse?

Pakistani fans need a scapegoat and Misbah is the perfect scapegoat.

Yeah misbah done nothing.........at least on his era pakistan test team was good..... these mediocre players should be thrown out of team 3 years ago.....now too late

I think people hold him responsible for 2011 more. And tbh he did blow that run-chase with his batting. For 2007 it's more about that moment that's imprinted on everyone's minds where he played that ramp shot into Sreesanth's hands.

His middle and lower order strategy was flawed, along with the fact that under his limited over captaincy fakhar zaman would never had been discovered.

But his babar-rizwan strategy worked in 2021 world t20. He was coach till the eve of world t20 2021, after that his influence wasnt there.
