CSA facing same issue:
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has released their top players for the IPL 2021. Kagiso Rabada (Delhi Capitals) , Quinton de Kock (Mumbai Indians), Lungi Ngidi (CSK) , David Miller (Rajasthan Royals) and Anrich Nortje (Delhi Capitals) all were suppose to be part of the Proteas T20 team for the series against Pakistan but have will play in IPL 2021 - possibly due to pressure from IPL franchises.
Trying to make light of it but to me that is disgraceful.
“The T20 squad is also a good indication of our depth as a cricket nation with the loss of some of the senior players to the IPL. We have a massive 18 months of T20 cricket coming up, with two ICC T20 World Cups for players to contest. We as a Selection Panel are looking forward to seeing what the new additions to the team will contribute to the Proteas’ system."
