We should rename the tournament as Do-or-Die perhaps. Another such match awaits us as New Zealand takes on Pakistan. Pakistan though are sitting pretty with a win already under their belt, the Kiwis have to win to survive. Again if the Pakistanis beat the Proteas too, then the second spot of Group B is thrown wide open too.
The Kiwis started their campaign with a thumping win against the Proteas but they were soon grounded by the Lankans. Now after a bit of regrouping they will have to fight back and put their best foot forward. Bond didn't quite do justice to his potential last time around and that might be a cause of concern for the Kiwis. But the spinners are doing a good job for them.
The Pakistanis have shown great spirit by shrugging off all the controversies and going ahead with the resources at hand. They won a magnificent match against the tournament favorites Sri Lanka and now are looking in great shape.
It will be interesting to see how things unfold. As in this tournament, the moment a team has looked good, it has come back to square one and the moment a team has looked down and out, it has surprisingly bounced back, of course, England being an exception.
