Damien Martyn or VVS Laxman - Who would you pick in Tests?

Damien is one of the best batsman ever to watch but I would take VVS in Tests. In all formats combined Damien is definitely better

VVS.. Performed the best against one of the best team of all time.

Both are highly respectable cricketers though.

Laxman after a few minutes of deliberation. Ideally, I'd pick both.

VVS was a better test batsman. All formats combined, it will be Martyn.

I'll take Laxman. Both on style and substance. Not a huge margin between them though on either score.

Martyn is a fine player. Fantastic to watch and great stroke player but if we are talking about tests, I will go with Laxman, even though there isn't much in it.

Martyn was my favorite Aussie batsman during his time. But in this case, I'll opt for VVS simply because he had nerves of steel.
