Despite the pounding the Aussies have taken in Dubai.
Despite the hammering Younis Khan has given them.
Despite the amazing knock by Misbah-ul-Haq a short while ago.

David Warner in his own little world continues to sledge the likes of Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq :)

Pretty light hearted stuff- he was booing Misbah for blocking the last ball of his 22 run over

Looked pretty friendly to be honest, don't think you can even call it sledging.

Not really sledging, just having some fun in a depressing situation.

I lolled when I heard him booing! :))

I'm not talking about the booing Misbah which was light-hearted.

Listen to the commentary when Younis was batting particularly. I presume they have clearer access to the stump mics.

i think he would be a coward if he only sledges when his side is on the top.

Hopefully he is sledging to the bitter end. What do you want him to do applaud the opposition?

As others have said warner would be a chickenshit if he talked a good game only when things were going perfectly for him and his team.

If you like to talk then talk win lose or draw.

:)))

Nothing wrong with Warner sledging, makes the game more fun to watch.

And love him or hate him he's a great character.

Yeah. Sledging in a mindset, not a tactic.. Its the Australian way, if they were my team, I wouldn't want them to change the way they act just because they weren't doing well in the field

Can someone post a video? :yk

Also, thats why warner is called the bull. He has a stubborn attitude.

Stubborn or just an idiot?

He is no idiot, he has made millions of dollars investing his earnings, bought his parents a house, does what he loves the most playing cricket and travels the world and is famous. Compare yourself to him before judging.

Stubborn or just an idiot?

He looks like a guy with not much intelligence. Those red-neck american types but i am sure there is a good guy underneath. Just is head straight.

That sledging part was in fun tho. No need to get upset about that.

And Warner is still sledging

He is no idiot, he has made millions of dollars investing his earnings, bought his parents a house, does what he loves the most playing cricket and travels the world and is famous. Compare yourself to him before judging.

Yeah he's done all that, he's still an idiot oh and violent!

i like warner , he is a character , makes cricket interesting .one of the most talented bats in the world too , too bad he got rid of that creepy moustache though .

In the form of his life too .

Contrary to what you have noticed, I have found this guy giggling behind the stumps. I have been watching this match in bits though, which is why I might have had missed few things.

Besides, he have all the reasons to smile apart from his mates failing to perform, scored runs in rather reasonably.

Warner is a top guy. Just a bit of banter.

Only thing I didn't like is laughing in YK face after YK was out. Other then that its fine.

Warner will always be a fav for me.

Sometimes people sledge to try to distract the other player, sometimes they sledge to try to get themselves up.

Warner is a top guy, I had admiration for his work ethic before this series but I'm his fan now. He has that Australian aggression coupled with the determination to succeed and willingness to grind it out. despite the match situation, its a testament to his strong character that he is still fighting and alive on the field when most of his team mates had already given up and were just going through the motions.

Lot of good will at yk for not running onto the pitch, seemed to be a bit of banter between yk and hafeez too towards the end of play

Abit of sledging i.e shehzad and haddin may have got Australia up from the sleepwalking they seem to be doing while getting their 7th choice spinners to bowl and viagra while they're batting

Seemingly related to the topic, did anyone else notice Sarfraz look back and laugh in Mitch Johnson face when he got bowled today. Lol.

‘Did you say Colgate?’ Bizarre toothpaste sledge leaves Marnus Labuschagne in stitches

Australia were at it again on Sunday behind the Fox Cricket stump mic, but this time it wasn’t Tim Paine dishing out the cheeky banter.

Instead, it was David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne who were heard in a bizarre exchange about toothpaste.

Shaan Masood was facing Nathan Lyon on day four of the first Test when Labuschagne — fielding at short leg — was heard mentioning Colgate.

“What did you just say Marnus? Colgate? Did you say Colgate?” Warner, fielding at second slip, said after the ball was bowled.

After one of his teammates confirmed Labuschagne did “say something about Colgate”, Warner probed further.

“What are you implying? What, he’s got bad breath does he?” he said.

With the over completed, an amused Adam Gilchrist said on Fox Cricket: “I’ve never heard so many references to personal hygiene in my life.”

The sledge followed on from Paine’s on day one that was in a similar ballpark.

Paine was behind the stumps with Pakistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan on strike. Rizwan had replaced Sarfaraz Ahmed in the side as a wicketkeeper, which Paine used for sledging ammunition.

“Sarfaraz would have already hit him four, Gazza,” Paine was heard saying on Fox Cricket. “Sweep shot, bang, four.”

He added: “Smells good though, smell’s very nice.”

Steve Smith was also involved in an amusing exchange moments later as Fox Cricket’s Mark Howard interviewed Pat Cummins. Smith was noticeably lurking behind the camera, which prompted Howard to ask: “What’s Smithy adding to the cause there?”

“Very little,” chimed in Smith.

Aussies went quiet when we sledged them down under.

Good to see them getting their voice back :yk

That Risabh Pant sledge and banter was top of the world. When Tim Paine came to bat, "talking talking" temp captain banter was just too good. Indian team with kohli , ishant, Risabh and Jadeja really got into the skin of whole Aus media, team and spectators. Was so good to see, aus crowd was clapping for Mayank and Puji , booing at kohli and Pant. Still we beat Aussies in their own den.
Reaction on hazlewood and Cummins+ Nathan Lyon was so soothing.

Yes got under the skin of AUS C team that was recovering from the ball tampering scandal and was preserving it's image
India should have won that series 3-0 at least

Sorry u expect too much from Indian team in Aus, we are not Pakistan who can whitewash Aus in Aus.

For us even Aus B or C team can compete against best Indian line up.

But we did manage to draw series in 2001 , that attack had Gillispie, Lee , Kasper and MacGill. But probably you will also consider this attack as Aus E or F team.

So honestly no comparison. India have been lucky since 2001 to win many tests in Aus by fluke.

I like this. Dissing an opponent in a nice polite way without crossing the line.

Cummins with a few words for Abbas, though Abbas didn't look too interested.

that same Aus B team would whoop pakistan, south africa, England and new zealand at home. They would pummel every side. India would have still beaten them with or without warner and smith.

what did cum boy say to him?

sledging is a mindset for sure. It is an act of self belief. Our team does not have self belief, especially our batsman. You can criticize the bowlers all you want, but the fact remains, our batsmen have led us down. These pitches were flat decks, batsmen should be consistently putting up at least 400..

No kasper

India would have still competed but not beaten them if they had Smith and Warner who have always pummelled India in home conditions

they would have scored vs past indian bowlers pre prime. this indian bowling attack is different. India wins the toss. game over. smith or anyone isn't going to save australia.

They scored in 2014 vs a pre prime shami who was injury prone at the time. ishant was not the ishant he is today. most importantly neither have faced the best bowler in the world aka bumrah.

India were not losing the 3rd and 4th test whether smith played or not.

the only debatable one is the first one. Even still I would back the current indian bowling attack to win them the game.

Smith bullies Indian bowlers in India lol.

Everyone including Kohli will back him to boss indian bowlers in Australia; fully keeping in mind the improvement and quality in indian pace attack

he had like 5 chances to survive vs india in that series. He got lucky. Won't happen again.
He has not faced a peak indian bowling attack. We all know india will crush them worse than what Aussies can do to india should they travel down under.
I highly doubt smith can dominate current indian bowling attack. If he found rabada hard, just wait till you face bumrah.

Lol ok

And pigs and cows will also fly.

Anyways the indian attack is great and Smith is an ATG

we shall see in australia. I know one thing for sure. India will fight and not back down. If india wins the toss, then its a very high chance australia loses.

let's say australia wins all 4 tosses, India will still make it difficult for them and provided the selection is right I don't see any reason why it will not be a close contest that could go either way.

I am waiting for this series. If they do beat full strength india which has Shaw and Mayank opening rather than Rahul and vijay that played vs australia barring the last 2 when Mayank was called in then all credit goes to Australia. I just don't see australia beating kohli's india if they lose the toss though.
