I think he is generally a better player than Sami and he can bat as well so He should be in for Sami in the second match.

Unless your name is Mooroolidooran (Tony Greig) then i can't see either of these two getting out to Monty. Too good a players of spin.

I would certainly use him in preference to Sami for the next game - especially since he now has experience of English conditions, is useful with the bat and can crank his pace up to 90 mph (something which Sami has forgotten how to do).

A few more score updates for those not following the game please?? Thanks

Inzi in gear 5.
I think he is going for the attacking strategy. If he stays for a few hours, things may become strikingly brighter!

Monty's last two balls showed a little bit of turn and some variation in bounce. He's not causing problems yet but if he finds a bit more confidence and the pitch continues to dry then we may see a bit more from him.

I don't like Yousuf's beard, he can't carry it off as well as Saeed Anwar.

given these two are such good players of spin - it would really unsettle England if they start to get after Monty. England like to keep the spinner on one end (ala Giles) to give their fast bowlers a rest, otherwise Harmy and Hoggard will be overbowled and Plunkett is still a novice and blows hot and cold.

i think by playing to many shots they are giving England to many chances

Apart from the opening bowlers England are lacking in the bowling department. This is where Flintoff, Jones and Anderson have been so crucial with a 4 pronged pace attack. Plunkett is ok but his radar is all over the place.

News: Taufeeq Umar and Rao Iftikhar Anjum have been called up to the Pakistan squad

That means Butt is Out of the second test and I would rather keep Sami than get rao in Yasir Arafat is a better choice than Rao.

still England have better attck for this match then Pakistan.

why not Imran Nazir?

at least he is a good fielder as well..wats up with Taufeeq umar ?what the fake?

England aren't hitting their lengths at the moment so I wouldn't too worried. If Plunkett settles down though they will have to reign themselves in a bit.

I know there is much controversy about the legitimacy of his action, but Pakistan are really missing Shabbir Ahmed. When he plays he guarantees you bounce, control and wickets. How many players in the world can boast a record of 50 wickets in 10 tests????

We need big centuries from two out of Moyo, Inzi, Akmal and Razzaq. I wish these two do it and give us some sort of respectability. They are both looking pretty good, Mashaallah!

Well bowled Monty, Moyo with a false shot.

130-4

I think a few have done it before.
