Question is, will Clarke allow himself to make 400+, or will he declare before that? I reckon Aussies should bat until lunch/tea tomorrow and then declare.

The series is not over. He'd rather take the extra day off and bowl India out by tomorrow.

This way they can rest up for the remaining two matches and win those, as well.

Plus, he'll now be even more respected in the dressing room. As a skipper that is of way more importance than a personal milestone. Players will know the skipper will sacrifice himself for a win.
 
If Sachin doesn't score his 100th 100 on this pitch, then I'm not sure he will get it.

Even Punter got one.

I will not be surprised if India is all out today.

Gambit, Laxi and Sehwag will play as though the pitch is a mine field.

The hang over from England is continuing. Bowlers lose their confidence the moment they see a batsman dominating.

India should show some fight and score 500+ in their innings and show to Aussies that they are not cheap $2 **res to take it like their bowlers did.

Time for Laxi to retire. Gambit needs to be kicked out and Rohit needs to open.
 
Declaration was of respect to Mark Taylor, Bradman and of course Hayden and most importantly Lara!

Though he should have gone on to make 401* and Hussey 200* then declare with a score in excess of 800!

That would have also surpassed the 705 runs scored at the SCG by INDIA and topped another record at the 100th test here.

Day 4 is more than enough to bowl out India who will never survive 2 whole days to save this test, a huge innings margin win was also on the card...

In my opinion he should have gone on and broken those records!
 
If our 1, 2 and 3 survive for two sessions. One today and one tom. morning. We have chance to get away with it.
 
This pitch is still good for bowling...Sehwag and co will make mistakes..its a matter of time.

India's best test bat in - has been getting bowled a fair bit recently though.
