I think it is silly on Ausi side as well. Why they keep bowling outside off stump. They have to bang one in from time to time.

James Pattinson might have spoilt another record for sachin in max maidens in a row :P

How many times does this bloke have to drop something before he himself is dropped? He has more lives than Kamran Akmal!

on the plus side they're creating chances

Haddin can't keep, can't bat...remind me our own Kami...oh and where is this match being played? mmmmm SCG..lol

I think Kangroos lost it in last 12 overs. Poor on part of Ausies. Dropped catch was icing on the cake.

And with that gritty effort from Gambhir and brain fart from Haddin Day 3 ends with India trailing at 114-2. They still need to bat out the whole of tomorrow to even get close to Aus' score. Lot of work to be done but Gambhir's effort here should boost the confidence of the touriss a little. That's it from the SCG, thanks for joining in. See you guys tomorrow.

Chapple sums it up well:

Ian Chappell says the SCG treasurer would have been praying for Tendulkar to remain unbeaten, or else the ticket sales tomorrow will take a hit. His prayers are answered as Tendulkar survives to fight another day.

It was a very cautious last 45 minutes or so for India, with both batsmen surviving close calls. The conditions have eased out and from now on it will be a test of resilience and stickability, more than anything else. All about survival.

Hence 9 maiden overs all 72 balls outside off stump so that Tandi can survive.

I fancy our chances of taking the 8 wickets we need. If the rain is intermittent it will play to our advantage. Hopefully it p!sses down tonight and the wicket sweats under the covers and there's a lot of moisture in the air tomorrow.

nasty :)

Well it's raining in the eastern suburbs now. Hope it absolutely buckets down and stops a few hours before play begins :D

We got another excuse :D
we did bat under overcast conditions but you guys batted when the sun was shining. :P

I could have used that excuse for every Test of the 2009 Ashes series (bar the first) but I didn't :P
