PCB please please refrain from preparing another road for the final test. A batting track is playing into the hands of bazball. England only have one decent spinner and their batsmen struggle against sharp turn. This is a home test and the conditions should help our team, the english aren't wedding guests! They'll show absolutely no mercy when Pakistan tour England. Turning tracks please.

Curators got work to do, it's a fresh pitch in the 3rd test

They always will create roads no matter how much we hope for otherwise. Pakistani pitches are by far the worst ones in Test cricket and they have been producing roads after roads for many years. They couldn't prepare seaming wickets when we had arsenal of speedsters then forget about them ever preparing a good competitive pitch. Rarely Pakistani lively pitch with grass tends to last only for first few hours and then it will be back to shalimar road for 4.5 days

PCB need to show faith in bowlers and must go for track which can favour both pacers & spinners. A batting paradise has caused great damage to Pakistan cricket since last Australia test series at home. Pakistan won two test matches against SA & Bang at Rawalpindi when the pitch favoured both pacers & spinners

Pindi has always been a highway but the events of this test should sway the curators.
Of course it won't turn as much on a fresh wicket, but we have to give ourselves as much of an advantage as possible.

Rawalpindi did have seam and swing in the Bangladesh series.
Even if it is flat, it wont be as flat as the Multan pitch 1st test

It will be pretty hard job to prepare a rank turner in Pindi, lets hope there will be something for the spinners.

Pretty sure PCB will not prepare a flat track and hoping it will be a draw because England will not settle for draw on any pitch.

Coms are saying it will be a road which is a shame. It’ll turn into a meandering draw.

Nah . Host every series only at single venues.

Use multan for England series, Pindi for NZ , Karachi for Australia , Lahore for South Africa etc
Interesting idea, take a road loss in the first and spin wins in the next two on re-used pitches. Stadium goers in other cities having to wait won't be happy but they aren't really filling up seats anyway

Trample on the pitch with spikes. I want a rank turner. England can't play spin.
2021 Ahmedabad test vibes
Pakistan 150 ao
England 120 ao
Pakistan 100 ao
England 74 ao

As per reports, they are planning for spin friendly pitch for Rawalpindi Test

I don't think PCB themselves know what type of pitch they will prepare for the match. The only reason this pitch turned as much as it did was because it was a used pitch that had already been played on for 5 days.

If you are going to go with these surfaces , then it would also be worth replacing Abdullah Technique with Hurraira who is a good player of spin.
Hurraira has been knocking the door down in domestic for quite some time. He even broke Javed Miandad's decades old record of youngest to score a FC triple-century. I don't understand how he hasn't made his debut yet.

The match starts on 24th October. Just have a 2 day practice match on the same pitch and ask players to walk all over with spikes

Imagine something like this was done by BCCI... oh my the spiciness :p

If they create a flat pitch, England will pile up 600 runs again. The formula is clear use spinning pitches to beat them, just like all subcontinent teams do against SENA countries. Curators better use their brain for once.

India Never play any test on used pitch .
Agreed. India has had a working formula since the 90s they know how to create turning tracks. Ashwin gets a 5 degree turn on Day 1.

Gotta admire the competence of Indian curators. We have incompetent curators who still struggle with pitches.

Aqib knows what he is doing he already said spin pitch for pindi

Yeah, he knows but the pitch will be prepared by the curators who have failed to create a fresh quality pitch that meets our requirements so far. We need to look to replicate Indian pitches that start to turn from Day 1.

Well, let's see what happens with a fresh pitch.

Not often you can get 8-10th days pitch to bowl Eng.

I won't give any credit to Pakistan to have non-road pitch in 2nd test because same pitch was super flat in the first test in the same venue.

But yes, don't have super road.

You all seriously think PCB has the brains and technical ability to curate a pitch as per the team requirements?

From years of watching Test cricket, it seems whenever the team management wants a pitch of a specific type, curators always end up creating the opposite. Most often, it’s a flat highway.

They just don’t know how to prepare pitches.

It will be a runway.

We just got lucky in Multan because it was a day 7 pitch.

The curator is not even local he is tony hemmings whose been appointed by the pcb .

Why not have a 4-5 day practice match on it? I mean it should be in the law if a used pitch can be used.

I think Indians are itching more than the English as far as the pitch is concerned.

I predicted pakistan to win 2 - 1 before start of the series

I think pakistan will win without turners if they drop shan as well.

Comedy captain. He is a joke.

This will be like Pakistan's version of india vs australia where india won 2-1 back in 2001 and changed their outlook for the future in test cricket.

To defeat England, pitch needs to be spicy.

Flat pitch is beneficial for England's Bazballers.

Why not a seaming pitch. Go toe to toe with eng pacers. Land of pace supposedly pakistan were?

Pakistan too scared to do a seaming pitch vs england.

Turners might work yes.

Flat pitches. Well india and Australia put out flat pitches and still beat them

its very difficult to make rawalpindi track a spinning one... maybe curators need to use some sanding paper to make it rough else get ready for England to set a new world record.

Yeah?
Ever heard of England or Australia preparing a spin track for their home Tests?

Will never happen.

And in Pak seaming tracks were never prepared in our history even when Wasim Waqar Imran Khan used to bowl.

Pak is a flat pitch paradise.

Wasn't Rawalpindi pace-friendly before? Why did it become flat?

I don't think Rawalpindi has ever been prepared as an all-out spin track, so this would be a first if they pull it off.

There was a time when this pitch was known for being the best for pacers in the country.

No, this is false.

When talking “relatively” to places like Multan, it may be slightly better due to cool atmosphere in autumn or winters - where ball has more potential to move.

However like other grounds in Pakistan it too has mostly sided with the batters and is almost always flat.

There was a time when bowling first at Rawalpindi was the better choice. I remember Pathan, Balaji and Nehra reducing PAK to 4 down before lunch.

But when England toured in 2022, it was December and it still didn't swing an inch.
