Amazing bowling and that too with dew around. Intelligent, skillful and accurate. Bumrah, Shami, Bhuvi, Chahar our pace unit is settled for the t20 wc.

I am sorry but he is still pretty average. Lack of pace will impact his game in places like auatralia. He can swing it both ways though. decent 4th or 5th option. india have far better bowlers like saini and prasidh krishna who actually bowl at pace with variation.

Credit is due did bowl well today and despite dube going for runs he came back strong. Chahar is ideal for t20 only in my opinion

Good to see that he doesn't have a beard, at least not as thick as the rest of Indian cricketers have.

Anyways, well done to Chahar. Still not convinced about him being good enough on Australian roads where next T20 WC will be played.

He is medium pace. 135-140ks.

But he can swing it both ways. Bowl two types of slower balls, and he isnt short, so can bowl a ok bouncer.

He is a good 3rd or 4th option.

Lets see how he goes from here.

Should not get too excited about him. He is a trundler and is leagues behind Bhuvaneshwar at what he does at a time when even Bhuvaneshwar isn't being trusted to lead the Indian attack.

tbh, accurate trundlers with good variations can be quite useful in t20s. Fast bowling is a double edged sword and even good fast bowling can go for quite few runs in t20s by edges from batsmen as there are no slips in t20s

He has similar control to bhuvi. If he can attain Bumrah fit level then he could be a regular in ODI's i suppose.

If he can bowl close to 140 and swing it both ways what more do people want? Batsmen struggled against Zaheer Khan when he was bowling 130 because of his swing and same go for Irfan Pathan and Praveen Kumar.

Deepak Chahar claims second hat-trick within 48 hours

Deepak Chahar is on a roll. After claiming a hat-trick on Sunday in the third and final T20I against Bangladesh, the Indian seamer hit the purple patch yet again on Tuesday.

Playing for Rajasthan against Vidarbha in a Group ‘B’ match of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the 27-year-old picked up four wickets, which included a hat-trick.

In the rain-hit contest at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, it was Vidarbha won the toss and decided to bat first. But the decision backfired as Chahar emerged as the wrecker-in-chief with figures of 4/18 in 3 overs to restrict Vidarbha to 99/9 in 13 overs.

The right-arm seamer once again dismantled the lower order to complete his hattrick in the final over of the innings.

Darshan Nalkande was out on the fourth delivery after which he bowled an extra (possibly a wide). In the final two balls of the innings, the medium-pacer removed Shrikant Wagh and Akshay Wadkar to complete the feat.

However, his heroics went in vain as Rajasthan, chasing a revised target, lost the match by 1 run (via the VJD method) finishing with 105/8 in a game to reduced to 13 overs due to rain.

Earlier on Sunday, Chahar guided India to a brilliant 30-run win over Bangladesh to help the Men In Blue wrap the three-match series 2-1.

Chahar eventually ended up with the figures of 6/7 – the best figures recorded in T20I history. The previous record was held by Sri Lanka’s Ajantha Mendis, who had scalped the same number of wickets while giving eight runs against Zimbabwe in 2012.

In the match on Sunday, Chahar removed Aminul Islam, Shafiul Islam, and Mustafizur Rahman to complete his maiden hat-trick in T20Is.

In the course, he also became the first Indian to complete a hat-trick in the shortest format of the game.
