Deepak Chahar - Performance Watch

It was just a fluke. Hirwani also took 16 wickets on debut against West Indies but just faded after that. Good start does not mean that it is easy to sustain that success.

there was a bowler Anwar Ali who extracted similar swing in the U19 world cup between India and Pakistan !!! The video reminds of jus that... Btw this guy bowls mid 120s like Praveen kumar with good swing !!! If u remove his first match figures he captured 30 odd wickets at over 30 per wicket...

Don think he is the next star o somethin !!!

I think there have been a thread on him before. Perhaps it was Romali Rotti, who had called him the Muhammad Asif of India. :)

@OP

Will u be in India during the IPL?Do make a point to watch a match or two at the Kotla.

na man. Going to be in pak for 1-2 months before going to Ind.
This guy is impressive i will surely watch him on tv.

Amir hit 152. The way you're talking about this bowler seems like you'd fit in well in Delhi ;)

hahahahhaha SAF bowled out India on 138 recently and then they scored a huge total of 620/4.

There is nothing in this bowler. It was a complete PITCH MAGIC

how can you swing the ball in the air so much with help of pitch

:O

technology ?

Pace is not everything. Even Amir can't bowl 140.THis guy doesn't bowl 140 but he is at 130 something.

lmaooo :)))

btw, the spell was good, but you can't expect to have a serious discussion about an Indian fast bowler here....

He is a test match player,i dont think ipl has got anything to do with his performances.
Mumbai is the only franchise which produces good players frequently

RCB produced Virat Kohli...! (In whatever way the word "Production" refers to!) Looks like CSK has finally produced a player for country (the player of this thread!)

Great stuff from Chahar,

Wins it for India with the bat and secures the series

<b>'Emotional' Deepak Chahar struggles to hold back tears as South Africa snatch close win from India</b>

<I>Deepak Chahar got emotional after India fell short by 4 runs in the 3rd ODI against South Africa in Cape Town. The bowling all-rounder scored 54 off 34 in the unsuccessful chase.</I>

Deepak Chahar couldn't hold back his tears as India fell short by 4 runs in a thrilling 3rd ODI against South Africa in Cape Town. The bowling all-rounder showed his prowess with the bat and hit a brilliant 54 off 34 in the chase to the target of 288. The Men in Blue looked assured of a win during his time in the middle.

The moment he got out, India struggled for every run and were bowled out for 283, losing the fixture by 4 runs. Chahar, who decided to sit beside the boundary line following his dismissal, was visibly upset and had moist eyes as he saw the final wicket of Yuzvendra Chahal.

With this win, SA whitewashed India and registered 3-0 win in the ODI series. The home team had won the Test series 2-1.

Chahar's cameo, Virat Kohli's half-century not enough for India

India made a below-par start in the chase to a big target of 288 and lost the wicket of skipper KL Rahul at a score of 18. Virat Kohli and opener Shikhar Dhawan kept Team India in the hunt with a 98-run partnership. Andile Phehlukwayo did the job for SA and got the big wickets of Dhawan and Rishabh Pant in the 23rd over.

Playing his first game of the tour, Suryakumar Yadav raised hopes of the fans during his stay in the middle but was dismissed for 39. Following his dismissal, Chahar took the onus and completed his half-century off 31 balls.

The bowling all-rounder was caught by Dwaine Pretorius off Lungi Ngidi with India just 10 runs away from the target. The SA bowlers made the tailenders struggle for every run and bowled the visitors out for 283 to register a clean sweep win.

India had lost the Test series 1-2 and will return home with series defeats across formats.

Deepak Chahar starts off with a first ball of the innings dismissal. He may fight for a place against Bhuvi in the 2023 squad.

As per reports, Deepak Chahar is unlikely to play in IPL 2024 due to a hamstring injury.
