All those people who are saying you need to understand British slang to find this funny, I understand all British slang, was born here and lived all my life here. His videos are neither funny or entertaining. They are awful andI'm being kind.

I think anyone who likes his stuff is giving an indication of their age.

the new one number eight is coming on saturday night or sunday

Its funny for those that like street slang talking so not everyone's cup of tea. Overall I find the guy refreshing and hilarious at times.

Everyone has their own taste in comedy or what they find funny. I do find some of his jokes lame but sometimes he makes me laugh. Because it's different to what you see on mainstream t.v and it has a good message, also not being too long I feel it's worth watching.

You can't say just because you find it lame those people who don't have a childish mindset.

+1

I was surprised to find out that this guy is 26. It was somewhat enjoyable in the beginning but now it's just lame. I can't understand how grown men can find this funny. The worse thing about this phenomenon is that now little kids are imitating the way he speaks/acts. It's so bloody annoying.

Yo blad, lemme get straight to the point yeah.:fawad

Basically this guy is my brothers friends cousin.

His videos are largely based on comedy while also delivering an important message.

It would be great if you could pass his name on and so forth through word of mouth.

The guy has got talent MashAllah.

Thanks

first part was amazing, loved the message...... but i still wouldnt take my mum to mirch masala!!!!! lol its bluddy horrible, how can people survive and like that restaurant :)

Ok, it's getting rather repetitive/tired. He needs to come up with something new.

Just saw the 9th one...it was pretty good, dunno why some people didn't like it.
Next one's the 'finale' :( this could easily have carried on 20odd eps

The 'dads storytime' bit is easily one of the best in the series :))):))):))):)))

Wonderful videos, I discovered them through this thread. I only intended to watch 1 as a break from work and I ended up watching all the episodes

Good Stuff

Seems there is tension and fallout in the Badman camp. Anyone know what happened?

i agree with most of his points but the younger generations have to be presented Islam in a different way to future generations and thats what DOB does .

A lot of overreactions to this guys work, with maulanas and scholars condemning him for no reason at all.

People seem to think he is mocking the sunnat?? I've not seen any example of this, seems like if you make someone of someone who has a beard or wears a burka you are automatically insulting nabi(saw) or his wives.

Ridiculous thinking.

QUESTION:

What is the ruling on one who makes fun of a woman who wears the correct Islamic hijaab and covers her face and hands?

ANSWER:

Praise be to Allaah.

Whoever makes fun of a Muslim man or woman for adhering to the Islamic sharee’ah is a kaafir, whether he is mocking a Muslim woman for observing correct Islamic hijaab or for some other reason. ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with them both) narrated that during the campaign of Tabook a man said: “I have never seen anything like these Qur’aan readers of ours. They have the biggest bellies, the most lying tongues and they are the most cowardly when meeting the enemy.” Another man said, “You are lying, and you are a hypocrite. I will most certainly tell the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) [what you have said].” He told the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), then Qur’aan was revealed. ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar said: “I saw him (that man) hanging onto the saddle of the she-camel of the Messenger of Allaah, (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), stumbling over the stones, and he [the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)] was saying,

“Was it at Allaah, and His Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger that you were mocking?”

Make no excuse; you disbelieved after you had believed. If We pardon some of you, We will punish others amongst you because they were Mujrimoon (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals)”

[al-Tawbah 9, 65-66 – interpretation of the meaning]

So mocking the believers is equivalent to mocking Allaah, His verses and His Messenger. And Allaah is the Source of strength.

Maybe it would be funny if I understood what he was saying.

You British people and your accent. :danish

I was really into this but then he just was mocking Islam too much and it just wasn't good. He might be tryna give a good message but unfortunately he's going about it the wrong way.

Salam Azhar must have missed your post. Hope you are well bro. Making fun of someone because they wear a hijab or have a beard is different to making fun of someone who wears a hijab or has a beard..

Also some comedic devices particularly satire/sarcasm can be used a social criticism.

Either way however you feel about the badman comedy, he has a following among the youth and does raise some very good points amidst the jokes and humour. A much better way of dealing with his videos by Scholars would be to adopt a less aggressive approach, recognize the good he has done and then educate the people in a nice manner on what they feel is bad. Rather than condemning him to hell..

Imo both sides are being silly here. The scholar should talk of much more important issues. This badman character should not claim his videos have a good Islamic message because they don't really. To me it's just comedy, sometimes funny and other times lame.

Assalamalaikum wa rahmatullah ahki DV, Im fine masha'Allah, insha'Allah you and your family are in the best of health and emaan.

Youre right he has a huge following and inshaAllah he can put it to good use. May Allah guide him and us, ameen.

Start was crap...middle was OK (the dad story being the best part as always lol) and the end was...well kinda random...

In many ways the guy reflects the obsession of young Pakistanis in the UK have about looking and sounding like gangsters. This was what Ali G was about. I recently had a muslim kid walk up to me and say wagwhan(not sure about the spelling). My reaction was what the f----,whatever happened to assalamu alaikum.

lols, how does saying wagwan make someone a gangster wanabe, i pretty much greet any of the guys i grew up with, with, sup, sapnin or wagwan.

its only natural you'll pick up the mannerisms of those you grew up with.

his jokes have become a little more asian bashing but with the death of his niqabi mother, that should end a little.

I think other asians comedians have been able to draw the fine line between taking the mickey equally out of asian and british culture
