Did Imran Khan get jealous of Sher Afzal Marwat?

Imran Khan should should leave Pakistan for a western country then start dating white women again and have kid's with them. That is what he does best! He ain't no leader but is absolutely obsessed with the thought of leadership. Even in 1992 Waz and Miandad played an equal if not a greater role in winning us the WC yet he took all the credit with his ridiculously embarrassing speech. With him it is always about how great I am! His idea of making peace with India would be handing over AJK to them.

I think his winning the election with a 2/3rd majority has sent the likes of you into a tail spin with no coherent line of thinking that anyone but the Noora propaganda cells put out.

It wasnt his leadership, it was all the Establishment that are today allowing PKs to be murdered on its soil. Its the Establishment that have destroyed economy and are treating PKs as its enemies by stealing their mandates, it was they that won it, not IK.

Answer the many accusations of mine on your great hero! Aafia, all the anti western propaganda of this hypocrite, Abhinandan and doing nothing when India removed article 370. Yes IK's anti military rhetoric instigated the My 9 attacks. I have seen many video's of PTI thugs and hooligans causing heavy damage.

What is it you expected the PM of Pakistan to do if India removes one of it's articles of constitution?

Without PTI Sher Afzal is just Sher Afzal, without IK PTI is just PTI.

What is it you expected the PM of Pakistan to do if India removes one of it's articles of constitution?
It is more incoherent rubbish recycled from , old Noora propaganda that IK sold Kashmir when we know establishment was fully conniving with NS and Modi against IK and even invited him to PK after the article 370 was abolished. Its the reason this guy is running from answering why PKs have been killed on PK soil by Ind security services. He doesnt have an answer so he runs this way and that way.

To idiots every opponent of IK is a Noora or Poora whatever that means? Pak people are ignorant voting for a former Cricketer. That is all they know about him, they don't understand the difference between politics and Cricket. This is why they are repeatedly fooled. Now your hero is in prison, upon his return will surely do another u-turn he is famous for. The establishment may not be angel's, neither is IK so lets not even go there. He broke all his pre election promises which is why India rightfully mock him and laugh at him.

And to us that debate with Nooraas and PPP supporters, you guys can be read like open books. You get your talking points from Geo and media cells. Let's look at you. Firstly, you claimed IK sold Kashmir, well Nooras claimed this a 1000 times. So no more needs to be said. Then you went on to claiming he was overthrown because he was pro Ind, a lie so easily dismantled that it took all of 10 seconds and you even got embarrassed by the Ind poster on here.🤣🤣🤣🤣

But it didn't stop.there, I asked you why PKs were being killed by Ind agents on PK soil. And each time you evaded this question, so far at least 5 times. Why is that? Is it IKs fault that people have been murdered by Inds with full connivance of Bajwa, Munir and NS. Why are you running from this basic question.

But there is more. You claimed 9th May was planned by IK. Another lie made by the Junta and the Nooras. Surely you would have evidence like CCTV and cases would have started. But Dr Yasmin and others are given date after date but no prosecution? And that is a year of nothing but lies. But there is even more, apparently the cameras were damaged. Well someone like you would buy this rubbish but the footage storage isn't kept on cameras🤣🤣🤣, but I bet you believe this rubbish too about all the CCTV cameras being down.

So once again Why have been PKs been killed on PK soil by Ind security agencies? What happened to CCTV footage of 9th May. Why hasn't it been made public and used in court.

Now tell me IK said he will liberate Kashmir prior to being elected, did he do that? Never mind Noora or Poora even Indian Congress on this subject. What did he do when article 370 was revoked? I do not get embarrassed rather always hold my ground when I believe in something.

Once more as always you are running from my accusations on Kashmir when he asked "should I attack India?" after article 370 was removed?

On Abhinandan he may as well have given him "Sitara-e-Jurrat" instead of returning him to India so soon. He again humiliated himself when India told the world Pak returned Abhinanadan so soon fearing an Indian military response. Yes he did encourage May 9 by constantly attacking the military holding them responsible for everything wrong in the country there is no doubt about that at all. What a thick thing to say with your CCTV and all! Did you expect IK to be part of the attacks himself that he should be seen on camera? For sure you will now tell me that the military is responsible for sending him to prison or he is not in prison but on some holiday!!

Pak people are killed every day in the country in case you have not noticed.

So a guy that loves the Establishment so much and literally worships criminals and lies on their behalf can't answer a basic question- why have the Inds been allowed to kill Pks on our soil and the Establishment can't utter a single word. You are right PKs are killed every day but who is behind the killing? Well you guessed it, the very same guys from establishment. The PHC judges complained that in a recent case they had threatening calls from terrorist groups based in Afghanistan, you may ask why the terrorist groups( read ISI) would threaten High Court judges in PHC when they gave relief to PTI workers. Well we know that you guys hate PK, you threaten and kill PKs. You have no respect for our laws and basically are mercenaries for the Americans. Today news has started to emerge that as part of the IMF loans you have offered 2 bases.

IK has sabotage your parade of loot and selling PK for years and he has 80% of PK people with him. Munir is threatening PKs every day but guys like to pretend that you have support. Well the election showed without the gun,you are nothing.

Now you answer my questions before asking me them. I don't love any establishment but love the military who defend Pakistan. Had it not been for them we would have been another Iraq, Syria or even Palestine. Are you saying the establishment are attacking and killing our people?

Did the establishment not go in to Afghanistan and take care of terrorists a while back?. They are not super human neither are the ISI unable to stop all attacks.

We know the Pak Taliban live in both Pak and Afghanistan. IK has constantly shown his respect for Pak laws by breaking them himself now he is hiding like a mouse. He receives expensive gifts from Arab's then points the finger at others. Now if you are attacking Pak politicians then they are all the same including Imran Khan. There is no good politician in Pak.

So anyone who opposes Imran Khan and PTI is a criminal even those who once supported him. Great logic!

Sher Afzal Marwat replaced by Waqas Akram for Public Accounts Committee chief slot

Chairmanship of the National Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has become a bone of contention and triggered a tug of war between senior PTI figures after it emerged that its political committee had voted to replace maverick Sher Afzal Khan Marwat with Sheikh Waqas Akram.

A party insider told Dawn that PTI’s political committee met in Islamabad on Friday night under its chairman to discuss the nomination with majority voting to replace Mr Marwat with the MNA from Jhang.

The party insider said that nine of the 19-member committee headed by Omar Ayub voted for Shaikh Waqas, seven for Mr Marwat, with Aon Abbas, although present, opted to abstain. Former speaker Asad Qaiser and Mr Marwat were not present.

“This is a conspiracy against me by the PTI establishment,” a bitter and angry sounding Sher Afzal Marwat said, confirming the report, when approached for comment over the phone.

PTI political committee’s decision triggers tug of war among party leaders

He particularly named Mr Ayub and Shibli Faraz amongst those, he alleged, were engaged in never-ending conspiracies against him. “Because I am popular,” he said.

Dawn sent a WhatsApp message on Mr Ayub’s mobile phone seeking his comments on the allegations.

Party’s principal spokesperson Raoof Hasan, however, declined to make a comment on the subject, saying its founding chairman routinely referred matters to the committee for discussions and consultation and that whatever recommendations it came up with, were referred back to the jailed leader, who decided the matter either way.

“We are duty-bound not to talk about matters until such time when Khan Sahib decides the matter with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’,” the party’s central secretary information said on the phone.

“Anything else until then would be speculation,” he said, refusing to confirm or deny the development.

The MNA from Lakki Marwat, whose dramatic rise to prominence following the incarceration of party leader Imran Khan in different cases, has been in the news, from leading the party when most leaders were underground, his witty remarks and his no-holds-barred comments which have often put him at logger-heads with his party colleagues and others.

PTI’s current chairman, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan had on April 20, announced the nomination of Mr Marwat as chairman of the coveted PAC, which traditionally has been going to the opposition benches. “I have met the PTI’s founder today. He has directed to nominate Sher Afzal Marwat for the office of the chairman PAC,” Barrister Gohar had told media after meeting his party leader at Adiala Jail.

Mr Marwat wondered what prompted the political committee to reverse the decision by the jailed party leader. “This is a 50 million dollar question,” he said. “Who brought the instructions from Khan sahab and persuaded the political committee to replace my name with that of Shaikh Waqas?”

“I am a member of the political committee but I was not informed,” he said. “And so was Asad Qaiser.”

He hinted at a “concerted conspiracy” against him by what he continued to call the “PTI establishment”.

He said that first his brother was unceremoniously removed from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet without giving him the honourable option of resigning himself and now he too was being removed through a “conspiracy”.

“I had asked Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to hold the decision to fire my brother till the time I had the chance to meet with Khan sahab. But he chose to de-notify my brother instead.”

“This amounts to disrespecting me, my family and my tribe,” Mr Marwat said. “They are belittling me and humiliating me and my family.”

He said that he had decided to draw a line somewhere. “Khan sahab makes a decision and then these people go and meet him and make him change his decision,” he pointed out.

“I am meeting Khan sahab on Tuesday and will bring all the facts into his notice. I am fed up with this bickering and conspiracies and will request him to end the matter once and for all,” Mr Marwat said, adding that he would decide his own political future after that meeting.

Shibli Faraz, Omar Ayub hinder my meeting with PTI founder: Marwat

Talking to media he alleged that Shibli Faraz and Omar Ayub in cahoots with the jail administration obstructed his meeting with the party’s founder. “Jail Superintendent told me that the PTI’s founder wants to meet me separately,” Marwat said.

“When I come for meeting today, the jail superintendent didn’t allow me to meet him,” he said. “My meeting with the PTI founder was extremely necessary,” he said.

“I am being paid back for my services to the PTI with the complaint of the party’s social media team against me,” he lamented.

He said, the PTI founder had made him the political committee’s member via Barrister Gohar. “My brother was the part of the KP cabinet, but he was suddenly de-notified,” he said.

“If the PTI founder will ask me to tender resignation from the National Assembly, I comply without any hesitation,” Marwat said.

“I am announcing as protest that I will not work with them,” he said. “I will come for protest when the PTI founder will entrust me the responsibility,” he added.

“The PTI was a dead-horse when I raised it to the life,” he claimed.

PTI issues show-cause notice to Marwat over ‘irresponsible statements’

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has issued a show-cause notice to its MNA Sher Afzal Marwat for allegedly making irresponsible statements. The party has sought an explanation from Marwat in three days.

The show-cause notice was issued by PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub, an explanation was sought from Sher Afzal Marwat within three days. Sher Afzal Marwat was given a show cause notice for making irresponsible statements.

According to the text of the show-cause notice, Marwat made irresponsible statements that damaged the reputation of the party. It further says that PTI Founder Imran Khan had refrained party officials from making irresponsible statements.

“The party and its members have suffered a loss due to your role,” the notice states.

Recently, the PTI leader had explicitly voiced his discontent and raised several controversial issues pertaining to the party’s leadership and internal affairs.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Marwat highlighted that he had been trying to meet with PTI Founder Imran Khan but was told by the jail superintendent that he would be holding a private meeting with the former prime minister.

But, he added, he was not being allowed to meet the party leader, and blamed former ministers Shibli Faraz and Omar Ayub for obstructing the meeting.

The PTI firebrand said he had informed Imran Khan about the leg-pulling within the party, adding that he had been sidelined by certain leaders after the February 8 elections. He stressed that he could not tolerate being disrespected.

I think Marwat is not honest with PTI, and he is just here to provoke conflict within the party.

Sher Afzal Marwat willing to return to party office upon Imran Khan's request

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat has stated that he will only take office in the party upon the request of the PTI founder.

Speaking to the media in London, he mentioned that he has been out of the party for 8 months and will consider returning to his position only if requested by the PTI founder. He plans to meet him after the holidays.

Marwat stated that he assumed office after May 9, but there is opposition within the party. He criticized certain party factions, alleging that some youth abroad are being misled and aligning against the country and its institutions with the support of PTI.

The PTI leader condemned the campaign against Pakistan and its institutions, stressing that those propagating against the institutions from abroad are bringing disgrace upon themselves.

PTI MNA Ali Muhammad Khan put party maverick Sher Afzal Marwat on blast on Saturday after a video surfaced of him seemingly criticising party founder Imran Khan

The PTI MNA, who is known for causing controversies, has previously accused both the US and Saudi Arabia of conspiring to topple the PTI government. The PTI had publicly distanced itself from his remarks while Marwat had chalked them off as his personal opinion, even as he continued to stick to them.

In February, the PTI had issued a show-cause notice to Marwat over remarks against party leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan that had triggered a controversy within the party.

He was issued a second show-cause notice in May for violating the party’s code of conduct and hurting its interests through his remarks against senior party leaders — Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz — and Saudi Arabia. Marwat was also removed from the party’s core and political committees on Imran’s direction following the maverick’s statements about Saudi Arabia.

A video doing the rounds on social media today, ostensibly a snippet from an interview with journalist Abrar Qureshi, showed Marwat saying: “Khan did wrong with me” and that Imran’s decisions hurt the party.

About a public protest call, Marwat could be heard saying: “Khan had to make this decision and he delayed it. If he had decided to take people out and to do it after Eidul Fitr then everyone would’ve known that Imran wants [people] to get out and that everyone has been assigned duties,” adding that the move would have separated those who complied and those who did not with the PTI founder’s order.

“Till now, Imran has not officially conveyed or announced any decision that the people come out for the recovery of the mandate or his freedom or that of the judiciary. Khan should have decided this,” Marwat said.

His social media team posted a message from him saying: “This video is edited. When the entire interview is broadcast, you will see it yourself.”

On his own X account, he said that his interview in London was not how it was being presented.

“I complained about my treatment but never compared myself to Khan sahib. The right to complain to a leader is innocent and should be recognised.”

Responding to the video during an interview on Geo News show ‘Naya Pakistan’, MNA Ali Muhammad said he was “saddened” by the remarks and could not believe them.

“I say with regret that I have never seen such a quick rise and fall. He should not have said this.”

He said that by talking against Imran, Marwat had lost the respect that the PTI had for the MNA “despite all the opposition you faced and we still defended you had played a role in a difficult time”.

But, Ali Muhammad said that when it came to saying anything against the party founder, “this is very wrong and is completely unacceptable because that person is giving sacrifice for the whole nation in Adiala Jail. I am very sad by what Marwat sahib has done.”

He said any “attack” on Imran from within or out was unacceptable, whether it was from friend or foe.

“I did not expect that Marwat would do this because the Pakhtun people and the nation have given him great respect because of Imran. I think he should make an unconditional apology on this not only from Imran but also the PTI’s workers who accorded him great respect in their hearts.”

He further said: “I say this with respect that you have really broken the hearts of PTI workers. You should not have talked against Imran.”

PTI suspends membership of ‘unruly’ Marwat

The PTI has suspended the membership of Sher Afzal Marwat, a firebrand party leader who was elected to the National Assembly in the Feb 8 polls, after a meeting between incarcerated party founder Imran Khan and the top leadership in Adiala Jail, Dawn has learnt.

Sources said the PTI leaders met Imran Khan on Thursday where the decision regarding Mr Marwat was taken. “A formal statement would be issued on Friday (today) in this regard,” the party sources added.

They claimed that Mr Marwat was constantly violating the party discipline and over the past month, he had made several statements criticising the party leaders and in one statement he purportedly made “derogatory remarks” about the party founder. “During the meeting with Imran Khan, it was agreed that no leader is above the party and all other leaders would face the same fate if they crossed the party line,” they added.

It may be noted that MNA Sher Afzal Marwat was removed from the PTI core and political committees in May by Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan on the order of Imran Khan after he made a controversial statement regarding the alleged involvement of Saudi Arabia in the ouster of Imran Khan in April 2022. Imran Khan was removed from the PM’s office through a no-confidence motion by the joint opposition alliance.

The PTI MNA, known for stirring controversies, accused both the US and Saudi Arabia of conspiring to topple the PTI government. The PTI had publicly distanced itself from his remarks, while Mr Marwat had chalked them off as his personal opinion, though he continued to stick to them.

Likewise, Mr Marwat had also lashed out at the party bigwigs for what he called depriving him of the Public Accounts Committee chairmanship. He had alleged that Senate opposition leader Shibli Faraz was the person who informed Imran Khan about the Saudi ambassador raising reservations regarding his nomination for the apex parliamentary committee.

It was argued that the warrants were issued after Marwat had left for abroad and the challan of the case was not presented to the court. Thus, the magistrate cancelled the warrants.

Marwat was accused of illegal construction at a plot near Thalian Motorway in 2019.

The court had issued his warrants in his absence, seeking his production before the court on July 30.

Uncertainty surrounds Sher Afzal Marwat's alleged dismissal from PTI

Confusion erupted within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) following the circulation of a notification on social media claiming that Sher Afzal Marwat, a prominent party leader, has been expelled for gross violations and breaches of discipline.

The notification alleges that Marwat's basic party membership was canceled and advises him to resign from the National Assembly.

Senior PTI leader Advocate Shoaib Shaheen reportedly corroborated Marwat's expulsion, citing alleged violations.

However, other party insiders have labeled the notification as "fake," arguing that individuals like Marwat, considered valuable assets by PTI founder Imran Khan, could not be expelled so abruptly.

The letter, purportedly issued by PTI's Additional Secretary General Firdous Shamim Naqvi, stated, "The committee has concluded that Sher Afzal Marwat shows no regard for the rules and discipline of the party, and his actions have adversely affected the party's image and narrative."

The letter further claimed that, based on these findings, the committee recommended terminating Marwat's membership, a decision allegedly approved by Imran Khan.

However, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar has publicly denied the authenticity of the expulsion notification.

Speaking to Express News, he described the notification as fraudulent, asserting, "If such a decision were made, I would certainly be aware, as I am the party chairman."

Sher Afzal Marwat also responded to the allegations on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "I respect the party's decision, but let me make it clear that I was and will remain Khan's soldier, and I will make every effort to secure my leader's release."

He expressed his belief that misunderstandings had been created and expressed a desire to meet with Imran Khan to clarify his position.

PTI’s Marwat calls for changing narrative by starting talks with political parties

PTI lawmaker Sher Afzal Marwat has called for changing the narrative by starting talks with the political parties instead of the establishment.

“After our recent interaction with treasury lawmakers, I feel that this narrative that talks will only be held with the establishment should end,” he said while appearing on News Insight with Amir Zia which was aired on Aaj News on Tuesday. “Talks will be with PML-N, PPP, and other political parties.”

PTI founder Imran Khan has refused to talk with the opposition, alleging that the ruling coalition does not hold the power.

Sher Afzal Marwat blames Imran Khan's 'all is well' remark for derailing negotiation efforts

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat criticized the statement made by jailed PTI founder Imran Khan, stating that Khan's remark of "all is well" damaged the party's efforts to engage in negotiations with the government.

Speaking during an interview on a local news channel on Monday, Marwat explained that the statement, given shortly after forming a negotiation committee, undermined the committee's credibility and effectiveness.

He described it as making the committee “worthless” and suggested that the statement hurt the negotiations. "This is my personal opinion," he added.

Khan’s comment came on Thursday when he expressed frustration with his party leadership for failing to devise a clear strategy for a protest at D-Chowk.

He was particularly surprised by the calm atmosphere outside the prison, stating, “I got the impression that there was a friendly atmosphere outside the prison and everyone was living happily.”

He further expressed his disappointment that the issue of D-Chowk had not been raised more forcefully in parliament and other forums, calling it a challenge for the party itself rather than the government.

Marwat noted that Khan had not given the negotiation committee specific instructions on when to initiate talks. This communication gap, he suggested, led Khan to make assumptions about the situation.

As a result, the negotiations have yet to begin, but he stressed that the party was working hard to resume the dialogue.

Reflecting on the delay, Marwat stated that the talks should not have been stalled in the first place. "Efforts are being made to restart the negotiations that were derailed on November 22 and took a hit on November 26," he said.

Jail officials of blocking access to Imran Khan: PTI's Sher Afzal Marwat

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Khan Marwat has expressed frustration over the authorities' failure to facilitate a meeting between the party's leadership and imprisoned founding chairman PTI, Imran Khan.

Speaking outside Adiala Jail, he criticised the jail superintendent, Abdul Ghafoor Anjum, for allegedly intensifying the hardships faced by Imran Khan and disregarding court orders, Express News reported.

Sher Afzal questioned how any demands could be addressed when officials are blocking access to Imran Khan for discussions, accusing the government of ineptitude.

He emphasised that the government’s response has been unsatisfactory, stating, “If law doesn’t apply here, and it’s martial law, then say so.

But if the law and human rights matter, then why stop meetings with his political advisors?”

Sher Afzal further claimed that the government was stalling meaningful negotiations, arguing that despite their flexibility, they had not been granted any meetings with Imran Khan.

He pointed to the meetings held in late November with Imran Khan's legal team, which were not honoured by the authorities, suggesting that the official narrative of ongoing talks was misleading.

The PTI leader also reiterated the party's position on what he termed the theft of the election mandate, accusing the current government of being a “mafia” formed on the basis of this alleged mandate theft.

He demanded that the government honour Imran Khan’s basic rights, including meetings with his political advisors and an open dialogue.

PTI founder ‘dismayed’ over Marwat’s remarks against Salam Akram Raja

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has expressed dismay over the recent remarks made by Sher Afzal Marwat against Salman Akram Raja, the party’s Secretary General, ARY News reported citing sources.

Speaking to reporters, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan defended Raja’s appointment as Secretary General, stating that it is an internal matter of the party.

Gohar emphasized that Raja’s appointment was made directly by Imran Khan, and the party’s constitution is based on the chairman’s directives.

Gohar also clarified that the party’s negotiating committee and political committee will have the final say on any decisions related to talks with the government. He added that any opinions on negotiations will be considered personal views, rather than the party’s official stance.

A war of words erupted within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) when PTI General Secretary Salman Akram Raja during an interview on ARY News program “Off The Record” rebuffed Sher Afzal’s statement regarding talks with the government committee.

Raja said that he did not consider Marwat’s comments to represent the PTI’s official stance. PTI is a large party, and not every individual’s statement reflects the party position. Only a select few, including himself, are authorized to speak on behalf of Khan and
the party.

Sher Afzal Marwat breaks silence after Imran Khan expels him from PTI

Sher Afzal Marwat, a member of the National Assembly (MNA), has publicly addressed his expulsion from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

His removal, which was executed under the orders of PTI founder Imran Khan, has stirred political waves within the party and beyond.

In a long social media post, Marwat expressed deep disappointment over his expulsion, emphasising his unwavering loyalty to PTI and Imran Khan’s leadership.

He mentioned that the decision appeared to be influenced by individuals who never accepted him within the party but reassured his supporters that he had never been involved in personal disputes or internal factionalism.

Instead, he always stood by the vision of Imran Khan, prioritising the party's unity over personal conflicts.

Marwat acknowledged the difficulties faced by Imran Khan, including limited access to information and the presence of certain individuals whose actions were detrimental to the party's interests.

Despite this, he expressed confidence in the future, saying that the party's workers, who had stood by him, would continue to support justice in the future.

In a firm stance, Marwat stated that while he would accept PTI’s decision with dignity if the party did not reconsider, he would never beg for mercy. He strongly urged PTI leaders and workers to speak up against injustice and to remain united, particularly when facing difficult times.

The expelled member also took the opportunity to stress that true loyalty to the party and its ideals does not mean blind obedience.

He stated that the party should uphold democracy, transparency, and fairness, values that should guide their path forward.

Marwat reaffirmed his commitment to Imran Khan and the PTI vision, saying that his struggle was not driven by personal gains but by the desire to protect the party's integrity.

Yesterday, PTI founder and former prime minister Imran Khan directed party leaders to expel Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Sher Afzal Marwat from party.

The decision follows internal dissatisfaction with Marwat’s actions during the Swabi gathering, prompting multiple complaints to Imran Khan from party members.

Last month, PTI had issued a show cause notice to Sher Afzal Marwat for violating party discipline.

In a notice, the PTI leadership reprimanded party leader Sher Afzal Marwat, known for his fiery oratory, for making statements contrary to the party’s official position.

Additionally, Marwat was prohibited from representing the party in the media until he submitted a response to the show-cause notice. The show cause notice was issued by PTI’s Additional Secretary General, Firdous Shamim Naqvi.

The notification, issued under the direction of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, stated that Sher Afzal Marwat had previously violated party policy and made statements without careful consideration. He has been given seven days to submit his response.

Shehryar Afridi denies reports of Sher Afzal Marwat’s removal from PTI

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Shehryar Afridi has denied reports that PTI founder had decided to remove senior party leader Sher Afzal Marwat. He added, “He has served the party well, and we will speak to the PTI founder regarding him.”

Speaking to the media outside the Peshawar High Court on Thursday, Afridi said, “The PTI founder did not discuss removing Sher Afzal Marwat in my presence. He has made significant contributions to the party and has always responded when called upon.”

Referring to the events of November 26, he stated that the entire nation witnessed what transpired and that PTI’s leadership has always advocated for the rule of law.

“The supremacy of law ensures the longevity of a nation. We will continue to stand for the Constitution and the law,” he added, criticising stakeholders for abandoning promises made to tribal communities.

Afridi also condemned what he called state oppression against PTI in Punjab, citing the imposition of Section 144 across the province on February 8. Despite restrictions, he claimed, the public voted for PTI and rejected other parties.

He further alleged that PTI leaders and workers were being subjected to unjust imprisonment and violence. “These actions are weakening Pakistan,” he warned.

The PTI leader also accused the federal government of withholding development funds for Kohat and called for unity in upholding legal supremacy. “Why is a judicial commission not being formed? What is the obstacle?” he questioned.

PTI fallout: Sher Afzal Marwat blames Salman Akram Raja for his ouster

Former PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat has answered his own question, “Why was I removed?” — holding PTI’s Secretary-General Salman Akram Raja responsible for his expulsion from the party.

Speaking on a private TV channel, Marwat accused Raja of misleading statements, claiming that his removal was orchestrated by Raja and his associates.

“He was appointed secretary-general through recommendations, not an intra-party election.

According to the party constitution, the secretary-general should be an elected figure, not a handpicked one,“ Marwat asserted.

He further criticised Raja’s claim of being a “de facto” secretary-general, calling it illegitimate.

“De facto means an usurper. Can the party not function without him? I merely raised this question, and it apparently offended him,” Marwat said.

Marwat also alleged that a group of YouTubers ran a campaign against him, falsely claiming he mobilised workers for PTI’s Swabi rally.

“If I brought the crowd, then where were PTI’s actual workers?” he questioned.

Lamenting his removal, Marwat said, “What’s worse than expulsion? They don’t even have a valid answer for why I was removed. PTI workers are not blind. Everyone can see the internal politics at play. We made several mistakes, yet we continue to hide them.”

Raising financial transparency concerns, he asked, “Why doesn’t PTI audit its funds and inform its donors? Why was there no accountability for what happened on November 26 at D-Chowk?”

He also pointed out that those who allegedly sold their conscience and votes remain in PTI despite receiving show-cause notices. “This is the third time in a year they have removed me,” he said.

Marwat declared he had no regard for Raja’s grievances, dismissing them as baseless.

“Lies don’t last long. I will return to the party soon. Hypocrites have poisoned the founder’s ears. This manipulation is done by unelected figures — one files a complaint, and the other verifies it. Our party leadership is concealing the truth,” he concluded.

PTI is heading towards 'no-turn' situation: Marwat

Expressing his thoughts on Samaa TV programme, Mere Sawal With Absar Alam, Marwat said: "After the events of May 9, the party began to re-establish contact with the country's establishment."

"The political enmity and vulgar language used against institutions sank our ship."

Regarding the controversial case involving Nikah during the iddah period, Marwat called it a mistake.

Marwat spoke highlighted the tensions with Shahbaz Gill, referring to him as "Shahbaz Ghul," with "ghul" meaning thief.

He accused Shahbaz Gill of stealing two phones from PTI founder Imran Khan and later being expelled from the party.

"Shahbaz Gill blackmails certain PTI members to make money," Marwat added.

Marwat also accused Salman Akram Raja of defying the orders of PTI founder Imran Khan, stating, "Salman Akram Raja is disobeying the PTI founder."

He said: "The people who were pursuing him were being represented by Salman Akram Raja, highlighting the internal fractures within the party."
