So I saw this post in another thread and it got me thinking/angry
must have been a great time to be a Pakistani during the 90s
GOAT, superstar bowler check
great team check
great music scene check
good television check
okish economy check
but generation after 90s got
garbage team
no superstar (babar finger crossed)
garbage economy
tons of debt
pathetic music scene and garbage Bollywood songs to look forward
crying women on Tv
Terrorists bombing everything in sight (imagine your childhood where you grew up listening to news about your neighborhoods engulfed by bomb blasts on a daily basis)
not a lot of feel good moments for people after 90s (there were some like CT, 2009 Amir, Shoaib Akhter against England, Wt20 but not a whole lot tbh if we compare it to the older generation)
So I think the older generation of Pakistanis were a massive letdown/failure who didn't work hard enough (or simply didn't care) to make the country a better place
Know I am not blaming all of the older generation for the mess because adults during the 40s,50s,60s built the country from the ground up and deserve massive respect
but generations afterwards didn't give much thought to “nation building” imo
This is a rant against the older generation of Pakistanis who I believe ruined Pakistan, enjoyed all the glory, good times but handed the young generation a sick, old country to take care of…
(you hear lots of old people ranting about the younger generation why don't we flip the game
)
