This was the dilemma I faced yesterday. So I went to Edgbaston to watch BD accumulate 341 on a ground with abnormal boundaries due to the position of the pitch. Then Pak replied with a steady but slower chase, and by 17:00 we needed around 110 off the last 10 overs with most of our recognised batters gone.
I made the executive decision to go home and watch my beloved Arsenal in the cup Final, thoroughly expecting both my teams to fail miserably!
Arsenal won with a clinical performance, and Faheem Ashraf proved to be a revelation, smashing the ball around in the final 8 overs in the company of Hassan Ali to score the final 110 runs needed!
I probably do regret leaving the ground in retrospect, but this is why I love both these mercurial teams.
You never know what they are capable of!!
