I leave beside my bias for Pakistan in this regard. But NZ are a boring team with Williamson as one man show.

It does not matter whether they deserve to go through to semi finals or not. They have generally mostly qualified for semi finals across the decades 1975,79,92,99, 2007,11,15,19. So they are not new to sneaking in for semi final spot.
Actually they have played more semi finals than Pakistan. 1979,83,87,92,99,11.

Rules of the WC were pre decided, Pak fell behind on those and NZ went through. While I believe Pak could have been more entertaining on their day than NZ in knockouts but they got enough points and NRR so can say they werent deserving.

As far as I can see they did not break any rules, and are in the top 4 of the competition.

Pakistan are not.

They were not good enough.

Losers will keep crying. Pakistani fans in general are sore losers. They cry and complain about every single thing.

Team that loses in 13 overs to windies does not deserve to be in semis.
Imo They only beat england because they were complacent as they saw pakistan lose in 13 overs.

Both Pakistan and New Zealand deserved to be 4th. If Pakistan wins today, they will have "equal" points to NZ. Its just that only one of them could acquire the 4th spot for semis, hence, considering NRR, New Zealand qualified.

Those who say Pakistan didn't deserve, need to check that we defeated top team like England and good teams like South Africa and New Zealand. While New Zealand took advantage of thrashing weaker teams and then lost to all top teams.

Both teams could end up with same group stage record that is: 5-1-3.

NZ had a washout against India and Pakistan against Sri Lanka. THat would suggest NZ is lucky
