But the US & Canada share similar values of freedom & democracy. So they are natural allies. China doesn't share similar values of democracy with India. It would be like comparing US & Russia in terms of ideological differencies. That's why the EU works out well becoz the individual countries share similar values.

Not saying it's impossible just that there's a lots of obstacles which have to be worked out for a lasting friendship.

Before Collapse of Communism, both India and China belonged to red block...That still did not helped them to get along with each other

Its not difficult, people don't realize the world they live in, stuck in past...You don't want to learn the hard way aka Europeans by having major wars...This hostility does not help...

There is lot of French culture in Canada, French and Brits used to fight a whole lot than India and China ever did...They do realize fighting is not possible but commerce and integration is...Everybody is learning English now, even Germans and Chinese

Not only Muslims thing to make freinds or foes on basis of religion .I m from Jammu I have experienced these these things Jammu is Muslim minority area even any small incident happens Hindus come like they are going to kill us.I can't wait to get out of this pathetic country

Lol.bhai itna bhi bura nhi hai.jammuite hindus are most secular among people in whole of india.despite the militancy and vicious propaganda of kp organisations they have welcomed Kashmiri muslims.it is only since economic bloackade of Kashmir in 2008 spearheaded by the current bjp cabinet minister jetindra singh that things have started getting bad.even now jammu is still safest place for muslims in all of india.

Yeah Jammu is really good place to live but what I have experienced few months back an incident happened you might have heard about that incident where all Hindus gathered in a place and started smashing Muslims vehicles specifically and were shouting and all

Well, Islam leading us to prosperity is something that has not been achieved since the West has never let us stay on the course long enough for us to achieve that so you can't conclude if it actually will or not. This is what the general population think. As far as the hypocrisy goes, this thread was made to address things like that. I don't agree with the general opinion because I can't bring myself the belive that the whole world is concerned with not letting the Muslim prosper.

Do you realize that Pakistan is not the only Islamic Nation? There are a whole bunch of countries in the Middle East and elsewhere that are far richer and devoid of any Western Influence yet they are all generally considered backward non-progressive countries. If anything ... but for the Western Nations discovering oil these countries would be utterly poor and backward.

The point is No religion can get mankind to prosperity. Only sheer hard work and investment in Science, Technology and education will bring prosperity.
