So I grew up as a child in the 90's and I remember enjoying watching a lot more trilateral and quadlateral series in those days , Why don't we seem them as often now ?
I personally enjoy those much better than a 5ODI 1vs 1 series.
I'd love to watch some ol school SA-Aus-India or Pak-Eng-NZ or WI-SL-NZ these kind of series . Miss those ol days !
Imagine having a Aus-SA-Ind/Pak series hosted in NZ/Oz - that'd be amazing !

Australia, New Zealand and England T20 tri series coming up in February 2017.

i miss Pak being in tri series. Kitply Cup 2008 was one of my favourites as was Pak-England-Australia 2001 tri series that series was my first real cricketing memory and when i fell in love with the game.

Bilateral series just doesnt provide that much attention to detail and analysis for points table and edge of seat games that a tri series does. Heck I think I'd love even watch Bang/Afg/Ire in a tri series than bilateral series anymore. ICC needs to wake up and go back to the 90's - I think things were a lot more in sync with the fans then.

I used to wait for Australian Tri Series at the end and beginning of new year. My fav australian tri series were Aus, Pak, West Indies in 1997/98, Ind, Aus, Pak in 2000 and Aus, NZ and SA in 2002 I think.

Independence Cup in India in 1997 was pretty good. NZ used to have that grey kit back then.

The best tri series for me was the Natwest Trophy in 2002 that changed the face of Indian cricket. Still remember it like yesterday.

What about 1996-97 Titan cup Ind-Aus-SA-India or Independence cup in Bangladesh where India chased 300+ at that time the record for the highest chase?

We need to have an ICC petition or some fanbase voice to the ICC for them to know what the fans want and look forward to .......stop meaningless bilateral series and create some better more nation series. Heck throw Ireland/ Minnows in there if you have to .

90s to early 2000s were the golden era for cricket with great and outstanding talents all over the world... Those tri-series, sharjah cups, C&B series in AUS and quad series are cherished memories of the past... Love to see them again... even gymkhana, nairobi tri-series were excellent... I think they even played in Morocco... Those days only the Ashes, and Toronto Ind vs Pak are a very good bilateral series back then.. I'm all for the comeback of tri-series...Bilaterals just help in the rankings easily, but they should do that with tri and quadilateral series..

the 5 match odi series are definitely not enjoyable. rarely they are interesting and you get to see the same team pummeling you or getting pummeled by you.

it is almost annoying that everything in cricket now a days is about making more and more money out of the golden goose. understandable but still annoying.

I certainly enjoyed them. One of my early cricketing memories is a tri series between Sri Lanka, West Indies, and India in 2005. Also use to enjoy the Australian tri series.

Icc and full member nations should try and have more tri series as they have more context than bilaterals.
