Look no one is born with perfection, rather they achieve it.
They fail.
They analyse.
They learn.
They train.
They sweat.
They succeed.
Some examples of hard workers, succeeding.
Younis in Tests. He was not technically sound. But, the hunger and determination made him at least a Pakistani great.
Sachin in ODIs. Even he did not have the best technique. But, we all know where he ended his career.
Kohli in ODIs. If you look at UMAR vs KOHLI thread, you could see many said UMAR to be more talented. But Today, Kohli is one of the top cricketers, and the least said about Umar, the better.
Babar Azam, looks to be talented and decent technically. I would rate his 70's and 80's in New Zealand more than his centuries in UAE.
He could be successful like other great batsmen, But would he follow his cousins like ethics or would he work on his deficiencies?
I think, despite not being named in the 27 men squad, he is attending the camp and working on his batting. He could have easily been complacent and preferred rest. But, he chose to improve.
If he keeps improving, there is no reason why he cannot keep his average 45+ with 85+ strike rate and be IMPACTFUL. If he takes the easy path, like his cousins, it wouldn't take long time before he becomes another HAFEEZ, averaging 35+ and bowling some off spin.
