Do you think IPL does have impact on the greatness of the cricketer, especially, in T20 format?
Someone like Chris Gayle is widely regarded as the GOAT player in this format and much of that attributes to IPL.
AB de Villiers doesn't have a great record in international T20s but a perception has been built that he is one of the best T20 player in the world and of his generation and a lot of that attributes to him being the best overseas player in IPL alongside Chris Gayle.
David Warner again owes a lot of his success in T20s to the IPL, being one of the best overseas player of that format.
Same goes to a number of West Indian players like Bravo, Russell and Pollard, for whom, success in IPL has done wonders.
Discuss!
