England (171/9) defeat India (145/9) by 26 runs to register their first win in the 5-match T20I series

Even if India win 5-0, this is just a bilateral T20 series. Teams generally use these series to try out combinations/players.

I am not sure if England is even playing their full side here. For example, Sam Curran is missing. Also, what is Brook doing in a T20 team? It seems like England is experimenting.
Agreed. This series only matters if India loses 5-0.(y)

I mentioned that before the start of series , hitting spin will not be easy for English batters. Indian spinners use conditions very well.
This is probably one of the least spin friendly surface. So there is something wrong with their technique. NZ, Australia respond much better against spin.

Varun bhai rescuing us once again. What a spell from him.

Still a decent total on the cards for England.

Indian players are generally likeable minus guys like Kohli.

It is mostly the Indian fans who are really obnoxious. Possibly the most obnoxious cricket fans in the world. :dav
Well, when you have to watch padosis being openly hostile towards Indian team and
never ever acknowledges

their contribution to the upliftment of cricket,

some jingoism does seep in....

Regretful but understandable.

England issue has been losing wickets in heap in middle overs , that has prevented them to go all out in final 3 - 4 overs

Take a guess why lol Once all the oldies were wiped out they look good. That has to happen in ODI as well.
It worked for 20 20 , but in OD you need grinders as well , I would like to see how these batters adapt to OD , it will be interesting transition.

Like Kohli and Rahul? lol No Thanks. You need multi skilled long batting line up This way you can keep going harder at bowling

This is what is T20 all about... (even ODIs...) You should keep on updating your resources... Team should be like a flowing river... India got struck with Jadeja, Kuldeep, Chahal... forever and paid the price (lost many ICC tournaments). Finally they needed Bumrah, Arshdeep, Pandya & SKY heroics, slow WI pitches and Choking SA to win an ICC tournament after a decade with the cringey uncles!

Even in tests it is the same issue... Sticking to oldies for way too long, in the name of so-called experience and seniority....

But I somehow feel that Kohli & Rohit are the last two Demigods in Indian Cricket (their predecessor was Dhoni). From now on we will keep producing stars in quick intervals before someone grow to the stature of superstar! Kohli & Rohit came before the prime of IPL, so they are the last legs!

Now thanks to IPL we will keep producing quality cricketers (this is one big positive of IPL), earlier we used to find just one Sachin or one Kumble or one Yuvaraj or one Dhoni for the entire decade! Even hardcore haters of IPL @Bhaag Viru Bhaag should acknowledge this fact!

Even Bumrah and Pant fall in the IPL era, so they are not invincible (Pant is dropped from T20s and Bumrah is anyhow a bowler and is rotated - doesn't play all matches - bowlers were never a bane for India, they usually are good workhorses except Kapil who stayed for bit too longer chasing record)

While IPL is good for T20I Cricket. I'm not sure it's enough to make red ball legends for India

India could have gone with Chakravarty over Jadeja for the CT.

Itnay all-rounders ka achar dalna hai?
Different mindsets. in T20 cricket ,players are always going for runs so mystery spinner always have maximum chance of getting the wickets due to variations.

In ODI cricket batters can milk for single/ double and odd boundries here and there.

But yes he is not a bad options for ODI cricket also.

Jadeja is not needed. He has never been useful for us since 2013 final.

SKY last time made 100 in 45 balls on this ground. He has to do it again. He is the worst in the current side in terms of form.

May British Empire/England win today.

I am rooting for them.

IND - 4/0 (1 overs).

England need some tight overs.

Mystery spinners have been quite successful in ODIs aswell. Chakravarty offers something different and could have been a trump card against teams unfamiliar with him. Having Jadeja and Axar in there makes very little sense considering both have the same role, and then you have Washington too, who is a similar player but atleast offers something different with his off-spin.

I always believe. If you need your number 8 to be an all rounder as well then your batting is *****
I dunno I think in white-ball No.8 can have a significant role to play. But thing here is that both him and Axar have the same role. I would rather just have gone with Axar over Jadeja, who should only be playing tests.

Kuldeep is first choice spinner for us. Only one of axar and jadeja will play and Axar is ahead at this stages.

Varun fielding is very pathetic so this is big negative for him. you can hide a below average fielder in T20 match but not in ODI cricket

India lose their first wicket.

16/1.

Sanju Gone.

I think they will go with form. 2 years back Gill was a certain starter in every T20 match with the way he batted. Look at him now.
Jaiswal is first choice opener so whenever he will be selected for T20 team than directly open without any problem.
