What's new

India (247/9) crush England (97) by 150 runs in the 5th T20I to seal the 5-match series 4-1

Kolkata - Smog
Chennai - Too Hot
Rajkot - No complaints (no guessing who won)
Pune - Not Like to Like (dube came back to get 2 wickets next game)
Mumbai - ??

what’s the excuse tonight lads?

Abhishek was on roids🙏

Final game was a dead rubber. Mother of all dead rubbers.

India played without any pressure and England also didn't seem to care much. Absolutely nothing was at stake.

There was a reason why India did not play like this during the first 4 games.

I also believe they may get a reality check in CT.

It is one thing to smash English bowlers (who were in picnic modes) at home. It is another thing to smash top bowlers during an ICC event.

Archer, wood, Carse and Rashid are club level bowlers.

This Indian team will fold when real macho express bowlers from BD show up in CT next monthđź‘Ť

So what is the final score line of this series?

@sweep_shot

Who cares about bilateral T20s? It is junk. Whether India win 5-0 or England win 5-0, it really doesn't matter.

Same England lost 0-3 in BD also, BTW. Bilateral T20 is simply not serious cricket. T20 is volatile like Bitcoin.

Anyway, in terms of priorities, this is the order:

ODI WC
WTC (which includes most bilateral Test series)
CT
World T20
Bilateral Test
Bilateral ODI
Bilateral T20

Indian fans are celebrating a bilateral T20 series win like they have won a World Cup. LOL.

I guess they forgot India lost 6 out of 8 Tests in recent times (8 matches, 1 win, 1 draw, and 6 losses).

Tere ghar jo chakkay maare hain wo bhi gin na bachay :D :D

Babar is an icon, he has 90 fitiies and 11 centuries in t20 alone, Abhishek played really well, he has been doing well for SRH as well. Lekin sarak pe chalte har uncle ko abu na bolna shuru ho jaya karo
A specialist batsman averaging 42 with 1 century in SENA in the true format of the game is an icon?

Either way guys like ABhishek will become millionaires faster than guys like KRaigg Brathwhite. Poor guys. Shai hope belatedly started realizing what is important in cricket. Now it is too late.
Some drug dealers and pimps will become millionaire faster than Abhishek. Someone's wealth is not the only measure of a man.

England white-ball captain Jos Buttler post-match said:

"At one point, I was thinking I don’t want to be the team that concedes 300 for the first time. The guys stuck in and we had two commendable performances from Brydon Carse and Mark Wood. We were really outplayed."

"I’ve played quite a lot of cricket and credit to Abhishek Sharma. That was one of the best T20 knocks I’ve been on the receiving end of. You always sit down and think what more could we have done or how we could have stopped him, but some days I think you have to give a lot of credit to the opposition. He played brilliantly well."

"With the bat, I’ve played in a few games like this and it generally goes one of two ways: you either get somewhere near or you fall in a heap and today was that day. We certainly won’t change the way we want to play, we need to keep backing that, be even more committed and be desperate to do well and execute that."
