Jadeja should have taken some chance with Tailenders instead takings single over. He should have try to hit Mirpuri bowler .:kp

They forced England to change their bazball style and change their pitches but still took them to tea on day 5.

So much guts and character shown across both sides with a special mention for Stokes and Jadeja efforts on the final day.

Theirs no moral victory. This entire tour has been a pr disaster.

I want england to win, but if england loses the next game without Bumrah then it's gonna be an even bigger slap in their faces.

I think they'll win the next one.

The 2nd test happened due to England's ego. They curated the same pitch and india prepared better.
 
Siraj , prasid have lowest amount of game awareness. Good game.India fought well.intresting to see the next pitch .

Match turned IMO with the Pant runout in the 1st innings when he and Rahul looked comfortable.

No need to take such a risk just so Rahul takes strike and gets his hundred before lunch. India should've got a 1st innings lead from that position.
 
What a warrior Jadeja is, should bat no.5
Bashir getting Siraj was inevitable, there was alot of turn on offer, too much for Siraj to survive

I actually had a bit of beef biryani once they went for Tea break.

Once I returned, I saw England won. :inti

Fittingly, I enjoyed an Indian defeat after consuming beef biryani.
 
I mean at no time jadeja has looked to go after the bowlers this match was there for jadeja to be the hero instead he just kept on giving the strike to tailenders really disappointed with jadeja at the end he should have been smoking boundaries single alone would have not won it for india.

India media and some of their fans are crazy but on the field they did well today.

Their media is intolerable so while I don't particularly care whether India win or lose I do love to tune in and watch their meltdowns.
 
This was what Archer was brought back to do. Go flat out and break the back of the batting in at least one innings.

Remains to be seen if he can play at Old Trafford.

When your Team is deprived of 2 Greatest Test Fast bowlers Anderson and Broad and Still Defend 192 against Mighty Indian Batting line up that bats til 9 and resists till 11 .. Stokes and Co should be proud of that effort

Yep. That was the turning point. Only 1 team has ever lost scoring 387 or more in Lord's history .

It was important for that partnership to carry on and get a 70-80 lead.
 
He should have shown a bit more initiative . Its hard to blame Jaddu because he brought it so close but he certainly didnt run more twos or go for risk free attacking shots

Naw it was a good innings. However Liton Das innings was better vs Pakistan.
 
I felt he has the game to nail a couple of sixes off Bashir even with most of the fielders on the boundary line. But can't really complain when his tactics almost worked.
 
Bhumrah should be getting chittars. There was nothing in the wicket and the English bowlers were getting tired. All he had to do was block or give Jadeja the strike, there was no need for him to play that pull shot.
 
A heart breaking defeat for India. England have the momentum and wild the floor with India over the next 2 Tests.


Long tours are tough on visiting teams especially when you are touring a top side like England.
 
Strong case for dropping bumrah.

He plays , bowls brilliantly as usual , other good pacers fail to bowl well who did brilliantly in his absence.
And India loses.
 
With 8 down, India found themselves in a situation where the game was next to impossible to win. You needed a genius like a Ben Stokes to weave his Headingley magic to win the game. Unfortunately, Jadeja don’t have the capability to do that because he is an accumulator who can only score of poor deliveries. But what he does possess is discipline, patience and temperament.

Today’s game proves that as a batsman, he is to Stokes what Dravid/ Kallis is to Lara.
