Why is Morgs bowling Rash out when the quicks have overs to spare?
 
He got over hyped and overrated due to the T20 hitting..good slugger for that type of cricket but all at sea in normal odis
 
Against low quality teams like Pak, AFG, S/L they will look good, High quality teams like Eng, India,Nz their weakness will be shown, and in case they do perform well, the umpires can always nullify it as in the case of the Australia/Windies clash.

They have simply run out of steam as expected. They are an explosive side on their day and can sustain such performances for 3-4 consecutive matches max. They will probably struggle against the remaining teams.
 
Archer has come back well in the last 4 overs. He is a real find for England. United nations have lost 2 of their players due to injury. How long they are going to be out?
 
England have pace bowlers again! They should look to finish with overs to spare, get the run rate up.

Oh please England are a quality side with many match winners with the bat. They know how to play the short ball and can handle pace. England should win this by 10 wickets, there is nothing for them to be afraid of from the windies attack, Gabriel is fast but wayward more times than not.

A Windies loss goes in our favour. Now if the English can do us a favour and chase it down in 30 overs that'll be great thanks :jk

Winning by 10wkts is a bit of a stretch, but yes they have more than enough batting to chase down 213. If the Windies had got to 260+ it might have caused a few butterflies in the England camp, but they should do this low total with their eyes closed.

40 overs would be ok. Their net run rate will suffer even if it is chased in 40 overs.
 
Looks like West Indies's Honeymoon got over with Pakistan match! I don't think they can win anymore matches (Even Afghans, Sri Lanka will fancy their chances against them!)
 
Pak gave a blue print of how to beat this English side. Seems like others haven't been watching. Well WI gave wickets today to Root so can't do much if you bat so awfully.
 
Root and Bairstow creaming it around already. Looks like a big England win coming up.

No blueprints needed really. To beat a good team you have to bat well, field well and get early wickets. Its as simple as that

Kinda reminds you how Hafeez gifted his wicket to lolly poop bowler finch, and Imaam and Babar playing noting shots to get out after doing all the hard work.
 
Presence of Root in the middle is a key for England's success. Any collapse he can arrest and build again.

They are good on roads. Not sure how they will do in helpful conditions especially surfaces that help spin.
 
Dre Russ is 25% fit i suppose. They played him due to his X-factor with bat. He completely let them down by playing irresponsible shots.
 
I think all WI cricketers have turned out to pure T20 specialists! They have to search for players like Marlon Samuels, Sarwan, Chanderpaul, Merv Dillon, etc, who have some sense of longer formats!
 
This is why they are an ATG batting lineup. Sent their number 10 at one-down. WOW

So... for guys who played most of their career before franchise t20 took off.

Show me the list of star players from any other successful ODI country who do NOT also play franchise T20... Oh, they basically all play franchise T20.

And WI left their true T20 specialists in Narine, Pollard & DJ Bravo out of the squad...

selected some big hitters, made some flat flat phattas at home then lit it rip..just look at their home record..thats why playing at home is such an advantage..

I thought the whole structure of WI cricket today is turned out like this! Even India has its share of people who got tangled due to T20 (like K L Rahul)
 
On good batting pitches England can withstand losing a couple of players. NOt many teams can do that.
 
Check difference between mindset of Pak and England. England bat at same rate whether chasing 212 or 350. Meanwhile seeing a small score our batsmen like Imam and Babar would have settled in for a stats padding innings at 70 SR with aim to win by 48th over.

Why do u keep on criticising imam??
Eng play like this coz they know even if they lose 100 for 5 they can score 320+. Pak can't. There's more value on babar's and imam's wicket

You are absolutely right, Pakistan's brainless batsmen gave the impression that the west Indies have such a good attack....but it reality it was Pakistan's mediocrity batting which made Windies look good. Against quality teams like England, India and even Australia you will see the big gap in performance....not saying they cannot beat a top team, but they are less likely to win more times than not.
 
Excellent win for England. West Indies have no doubt improved but I think got people a little excited. They have a very big weaknesses against spin and if you see off their bouncers you can score runs with ease.

West Indies will probably spring a surprise on someone but don't expect them to win the WC.
 
After seeing the West Indies today it's hard to imagine how the beat us. Shows how poor we are.
